My children developed their social skills, acclimated to structure and were academically prepared for kindergarten. I volunteered extensively in both of my children's kindergarten classrooms and was pleased to see that El Dorado Hills Preschool had them at an academic level (knowing letters, numbers and some basic sight words) that put them at the top of their classes. While this is wonderful, what makes the program exceptional, is that they were always having fun and it never felt like work. Their imaginations and creativity were encouraged! EDH Preschool made learning fun so they loved to learn, which continues to serve them well in elementary school. Miss Kim and Miss Stephanie are nurturing and gifted teachers. They have endless energy and their passion for children and teaching is evident. There is no one I would recommend more than these two to help mold my children and prepare them for elementary school.

It was always nice dropping her off and knowing that she was well loved and would be taken care of. The classroom setup is perfect for little ones. They do education based activities, but in a very age appropriate way...lots of singing, arts and crafts, and hands on activities. Their hours are better than most preschools that I looked into and the cost was very reasonable. As a former teacher, I could not be happier with my decision to send my daughter to El Dorado Hills Preschool. Stephanie E.

Our older one is 5 years old and the younger one is about to turn 3 years old. Some of the facilities we toured, the teachers seem like they don't want to be there, the foods look bad (lots of cheap processed foods) and give off refuge camp vibes. I do echo with all the positive feedback from the 4-5 stars reviews. The teachers were caring and supportive to our kids needs and we can tell our kids enjoy going to "school" every day. The facility is well maintained with amble amount of toys. The playground in the back is one of the most impressive we had seen compared to other facilities (we toured 6 facilities before choosing this one). The foods they serve to kids have diverse menu and are generally pretty healthy with vegetarian options. The only unfortunate part is there could be high turnover for teachers and I think that probably happens in other daycares too. It's not a state funded job so the salary may not be as competitive. But that's not the management's fault. Just the nature of the job.

I'm a mom of three and really struggled with the preschool decision. My daughters have very different personalities and Applebee caters to both of their needs. I love dropping my kids off at school and feel great while at work knowing they are getting amazing care. My oldest daughter - Madelyn. She's very sweet, slow to warm up, sensitive and loves to follow directions. She's a model student. I feel that Applebee really got Madelyn out of her shell and encouraged her to explore and make her own decisions. My younger daughter - Alexandra (we call her Aki). She's very outgoing and has a strong personality. She can be stubborn at times and likes to test boundaries. A true 3 year old. Applebee had a way of letting Alexandra be free spirited within boundaries that didn't feel too constricting. Aki had a hard time adjusting initially and would cry during nap time. The teachers were really caring and would hold, hug and rock Aki to sleep during nap time. Aki would come home smelling like sweet perfume and it made me feel so good to know that they really cared about her. She no longer needs to be rocked. Some quotes from my kids: - Mommy: Who are your best friends? Answer: Teacher Cecilia and Stacy. - Mommy: If you aren't good tonight then you can't go to Applebee tomorrow. Answer: WWWAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! You can not find better loving teachers, educators, mentors and family than Joannie, Bev, Stacy and Cecilia!

My oldest had grown really attached to his previous school, so I was hoping we could find a place here that felt just as safe, consistent, and welcoming. I'm grateful my wife chose Kids Inc. From Ms. Amanda in the mornings to Ms. Parker in the afternoons, we are consistently greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense that our boys are known and cared for. Ms. Su and Ms. Mahshid, along with their support staff, have made the transition smooth and reassuring. The biggest sign we chose the right place is how excited our boys are to see their teachers each day. They even ask me to share their updates when we arrive, which says a lot about the relationships being built there. Thank you to Kelli and Alex and the entire team for creating such a supportive environment. That care carries into our home, and we truly appreciate it.

After moving our son mid-year into the 2-year-old class, the transition was seamless, thanks to the kindness, warmth, and professionalism of Amanda, Kim, and Parker. We appreciated how they made room and warmly welcomed him into the program. The team has done an excellent job communicating with us about our son's development. They get to know each child as an individual and tailor their care to meet each child's specific needs. Ms. Brittney is an incredibly patient and kind teacher. She is helping our son learn how to share and communicate with his friends and we are seeing how much his speech is improving under her care. One of the reasons we chose this preschool is the student/teacher ratio - the classes are never chaotic or out of control. Ms. Brittney is able to give each child the attention they need. One of our challenges is getting our son to eat well throughout the day. We requested daily snack and lunch updates and the staff remain consistent with inputing this information into the childcare app with great detail. This school provides snacks and lunch with their tuition. Game changer for busy working parents like us! We also notice how well-loved our son is by the entire staff. At every drop off and pick up, he always gets warm greetings or goodbyes from at least two different staff members, and they always greet him by name. It's clear that the staff truly knows and cares about each child. The facility itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained, and we always pick up our son looking fresh and clean after a day of fun and learning. The activities are thoughtfully designed to help with their coordination and overall learning, and we always feel at ease when we see our son's happy face in the photo and video updates that are sent to us throughout the day. Highly recommend!

The teachers are warm, inviting, and truly care about the safety and well-being of each and every child. Communication with families is a strong suit of the teachers and owner. I always know what's going on in my child's class. Teachers truly care about the whole child - helping them learn but also encouraging and supporting their activities and interests in and outside the classroom. Our Busy Bees teacher even came to our girls' ballet recital and cheered on (and brought flowers for) all the Busy Bees students who performed. I have never questioned safety of my children while at Busy Bees. The curriculum is top-notch and has undoubtedly prepared my girls for TK and kindergarten. This preschool is phenomenal and I'm going to be sad when our littlest kiddo graduates and moves on to the next chapter. The way the school handled Covid protocols was very much supportive of the childrens' well-being and comfort level with face coverings, etc.

When I asked what happened to my daughter to the main teacher, the teacher had no idea and the teacher said to follow up but never got a response back. COVID-19 response The staff never wore masks and never required kids to wear masks but one Monday all staff were masked up, it was eerie. Later that day, the school notified me that my kids were exposed to COVID-19 with no details of exposure, and the school was closed for a week. The tuition was reimbursed. Discipline Policy There was a child who is disruptive and harmful to other students, the school had no procedure to correct the kid's behavior. The kid was aware of no consequences for his behavior and bullied kids who were playing alone or kids who doesn't retaliate. Teachers appeared not responsive until kids scream, cry, or tell teachers for help. Basic manners such as taking turns, sharing with others, and being kind to others were not important to teachers and were not disciplined. If these are not taught in a school, why should I even bother sending my kid here? My kid got chased, sand over her hair, and her sand castle was destroyed by one kid. The staff never tried to stop the bullying behavior, they didn't even know it was happening. Teacher-to-Student ratio The school advertises a 1:6 ratio. One teacher and two assistant teachers for 18 kids. However, that's only in the classroom. When kids are outside at the playground, the teacher stays inside the classroom and only assistant teachers are monitoring the kids.

(Also I didn't feel like half day K was enough for her inquisitive mind.) The school was flexible about our unusual attendance arrangement, though understandably, it didn't cost much less for a half day slot vs. full day. They always made her feel welcome when she came in mid-day. She really loved it there, despite being a kid who chafes at rules at home - she really thrived in that environment. Teacher Angela was fantastic and they quickly gave my child appropriate work for her level since she started already knowing how to read and being able to do basic addition and subtraction. Their written evals were detailed and helpful, and I felt like they really got to know my child in a short time. Their summer program was fantastic and their extended care option was flexible for the times we needed a little extra care. They also had a fantastic "Parents Night Out" where they also welcomed siblings, and we took advantage of that a few times. This is a true Montessori, where kids are expected to learn how to be self-directed. We came from less-rigid Montessori schools, so getting used to the strict dress code was hard for us as parents, but my daughter was fine with it. Our daughter entered a rigorous Mandarin immersion program the next year in 1st grade, and Madrone prepared her VERY well for it. I'd highly recommend it if you are open to a more academic environment for your pre-K/kindergartner and want to encourage independence.
