As well as programs for kids, tweens and teens. My now adult age kid voulenteered here during their high school years. My almost middle school age kid has done things ranging from Pokemon club, tinkercad, 3d printing. As well the maker spot is an amazing resource from their quilting and sewing machines, 3d printer and other things you can use at the library. They also have a pretty good summer reading program. There are quite a few screens around where you can search for books, and it's pretty easy to find what you're looking for. The aisles are also well indicated, with signs showing what each section contains. Signing up was easy, and getting a library card and checking out some books was a very straightforward process. The only thing I would say is that they don't seem to keep the noise down as much as you'd expect in a library. I'm guessing they're encouraging teenagers to spend more time there, which is great, but it does make the whole experience louder for everyone else. Plenty of free parking outside, too.

My husband and I came to check it out and it was so welcoming, and there was a good amount of books. They also have a very cute kids area, a room you can rent and a patio area. I checked out two books with a 30 day return date. And they even have a shelf with some free books and I did indeed take one off the shelf to rehome. Even though it's a community library anyone is welcomed and you can sign up right there for a library card. It has so much character and it's so clean. They also have resources posted on boards inside. I loved this idea as well. We will be back to enjoy it some more.

Formerly Radio Shack headquarters (all you millennials who dont know, RS was like Best Buy), the whole building was split between Tarrant has now been aquired by TCC. Back then when RS was still in business they use to share the building, certain sections were RS employees and the rest TCC students/staff. The layout is a bit odd because its on a hill so there are parts where you take an elevator up and then walk down the hall and take the elevator down because not everything is connected. There is a lot of space everywhere you go and you can find cozy little corners to study or take a nap all over the place. If that's not your thing panther island is right outside with plenty of walking trails and during the summer they have paddle boats available for rent. Lots of sculptures and water fountains which look every more beautiful in the summer with the flowers blooming and the Texas heat. I play pokemon go and notice many stops and gyms to keep me entertained. I love this location because there is so much to do between classes, take a walk outside and you are at the trinity river or at a fancy restaurant downtown. This campus in my opinion has the best views of all the campuses, the best cafeteria by a landslide and the best parking situation. Students attending TR need a parking sticker to park here but it is free! All you have to do is go to the police kiosk and show them a copy of your schedule, fill out a sheet and your set to go. Because this parking garage is in downtown they are always strict on parking so FYI. I know a lot of the professors that teach at TCC also teach at other local universities so they are equality professors. You pay a fraction of the price here compared to big name schools. Financial aid is available on top of the already low cost of tuition here. TCC has many clubs and organizations students can join so please take advantage of them.

Keeping in mind most of the offices are manned by students, I try to keep my cool when dealing with them. However, this one "employee" really got under my skin. Blatantly contradricting something I knew for a fact I read on the school's website, she would not let the issue go. Thankfully someone else stepped in to help after noticing I was about to totally lose it. In the end, I wrapped up all I needed to accomplish on campus and headed on my way. I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2014 from this same campus. A lot has changed since then, but I'm looking forward to taking a few courses for grins and giggles. Oh, the hours I have spent in this library. Some good, some bad…read more For students, this is the primary space to find a guaranteed quiet space for work, to print using your MavID, where to go to utilize the FabLab, or to get Einstein Bagels. The basement is a more open student area, with vending machines. Additionally, if you walk down there and immediately look to your left, you should see exercise bikes and treadmills fitted with surfaces to read or study while working out. There are only a couple, so they are first come, first serve. The 6th floor is a big open space with very little furniture, and offices. Great view from the window, however. The other floors are a mix of "quiet floors" and study floors, and the legend on each floor should tell you. The majority of the students hang on floor 2, which is not a quiet floor, but offers the freedom to talk, numerous desktop computers that can be utilized logging in with your MyMav credentials and a tutoring station. Additionally, if you are looking for a small convenience store, this is your spot. Nearly every floor has study rooms that require a reservation. This is the biggest downside - you have to scan the QR code, or type the website, and when you do, you will notice that most rooms are reserved for months out. If you want to reserve a room (particularly one for midterms or finals) I suggest exploring your options by the 3rd week of the semester. The library is 24 hours (with a few exceptions), but if you are a guest (not a student, or a student that does not have a UTA ID) then you will be asked to leave at midnight when UTA Police come around for ID check. From what I have been told, this is due to a previous issue with homeless people sleeping in the library. If you wish to take advantage of the library, but you are not a student, a drivers license will grant you access at the front desk, and the second floor has a guest computer that you can login to. If you can, check out the trees directly in front of the library during the holiday season - the trees are decorated with UTA blue and orange lights. Happy studying!

And we found all the items we were looking for!! I even got my kids signed up for the Reading Program this summer, so fun. The staff member that assisted me in singing the kids up for the Reading Program was so patient and printed out an actually Reading Log so I don't have to log everything into my phone each time. She told me that if I wanted to bring the paper with me when we visit their branch that they could enter all the hours in for me. Best service ever!
