Trusting a stranger with your face is...STRESSFUL. Dr…read more Bentkover's frank confidence is NOT. He listens to your skin and beauty concerns, then looks at each one himself, offering his own opinions and advice. His frank honesty is refreshing. IE I see acne hyperpigmentation on my chin. He responded, I don't see any discoloration on your chin, so noone else is noticing it either. Then, he added, what about the lines on your forehead? I said they didn't bother me, and he told me to leave them alone. Dr. Bentkover has many loyal patients, so he never needs to sell anyone on any procedures. Unlike spas that assault you with high pressure sales tactics every visit. Dr. Bentkover is a REAL DOCTOR, with a lifetime of experience working on skin and facial reconstruction, who DOES HIS INJECTIONS HIMSELF. Unlike spas that *claim* they work under a doctor, but have inexperienced technicians do the injections on unknowing patients. Go to a real doctor, like Dr. Bentkover. DON'T TAKE CHANCES WITH YOUR FACE. PRICES: No prices are listed on his website, except for facials. I've gone to him for several years, and his prices changed, for some facial fillers, without notice. Always ask. Don't assume. I also had ONE LASER treatment on my chest & under my nose, to remove RED SUN SPOTS (cherry angiomas) & capillaries. The PRICE of $850, which was not mentioned before hand, and it worked on the red spots, but not on the broken capillaries. I live in downtown Boston, and NO spa charges remotely close to that price for the same laser used for hair removal. I did NOT ask the price, as I'd gotten a large discount on a gift certificate at a charity auction. So, it was my fault. THE DEAL: His website lists new specials all the time. So, check it out!

He and his staff were incredible! It is rare to find a doctor who takes as much time with his patients as Dr. Bentkover does. He is a true professional but still cares about each of his patients on a personal level. He sees each person that walks through his door as a more than just a potential client. He takes the time to get to know you, your desired outcome and expectations. He is honest about the expected outcome of the procedure and what can and can not be completed, which is extremely important when considering a surgeon to preform any major procedure. His post procedure care is also excellent. He and his staff again, went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well cared for. I had complications which were unrelated to the procedure its self and he and his staff followed up with me on a regular basis. More than I could have ever expected from a doctor or his staff. He followed up with me for several months and provided exceptional care through out the time. I would highly recommend him. And even though I am no longer in the area if I ever need any additional procedures he will be the first person I seek out.

Frank P. Fechner, MD - Corner lip lift with disfiguring scars

He proceeded to put filler in it, which only made the scarring worse. After four tries, I finally gave up and went elsewhere. I am now paying to have the scars treated, which is a slow painful and expensive process that so far has not worked. When I last left a review, the office responded that they would contact me. That was over six months ago and I have yet to hear a word. I am hoping that this review will prevent at least one person from having a bad experience with this doctor. He is very charming at consultation and not so much when you ask him to correct his mistakes.

One year ago today, I was the "patient of the day." I remember feeling anxious and full of…read morequestions, but the moment Dr. Fechner walked into the surgery room, all of that disappeared. From my very first meeting with Lisa, to getting to know the nurses and staff, my entire journey was truly amazing. I hadn't realized how many dynamics go into having a facelift, but the team took the time to educate me beforehand and stayed by my side every step of the way afterward. Everything--from billing to scheduling to communication--was handled seamlessly. Of course, the star of the show was Dr. Fechner. While he is undoubtedly a skilled surgeon, I also believe he is an artist. I am beyond pleased with my results and would highly recommend him for anyone considering plastic surgery. I can still remember, a year ago, wishing it were already a year later--and now here I am, grateful, healed, and so happy with my decision.

I did not get instructions for PT, and he told me recovery would not be long at all. When in fact the full recovery time is SEVEN months and weight bearing may not occur from 6-12 weeks after surgery. I had to quit my job because I couldn't drive there (having a boot on my right leg for a long period) and was in a massive amount of pain, and would get incredible cramps that I was not warned about. After surgery the nurse tried to have me stand up and I fell back on the bed in incredible pain and made me feel foolish for wanting crutches or a wheel chair. I am still appauled that I did not get the care I should have recieved, and the correct knowledge for rehabilitation after my calf was cut. I do not recommend him. Find another knowledgeable doctor.

My MRI results showed multiple full and partial ligament tears. Dr. Patel put me in a short leg cast for 4 weeks to completely immobilize me. This was my " initial encounter" as it states on my visit notes. Fast forward to today! I go in, they take my cast off, I explain I've been in slight pain for most of the time in the cast etc. Dr. Patel comes in the room and the first sentence out of his mouth is "I don't know what to do for you." I said I didn't understand? He said well we immobilized you and you're saying you're still in pain, it's just a sprain." I reminded him "I have multiple full thickness and partial ligaments that are torn!" He goes "well I don't know what to do for you, you'll have to get a second opinion with my colleague." He never physically examined me! He never put his hands on my foot he never attempted to manipulate it/ test it in anyway! There was no actual physical examination that was performed! He also completely disregarded my entire MRI report that stated all of these tears!! A radiologists entire job is to find these abnormalities! Dr. Patel disregarded the entire report and only mentioned one suspected partial tear! I can pin point myself just by attempting to move my ankle exactly where these tears are because of the sharp pain I get when attempting to move it in any direction! This doctor I guarantee had no idea which patient I was. On todays notes it said TODAY was our initial encounter! Even that's not accurate on his part! I was just another number! I was just a get her in and out! As a doctor it is your job to know and if you don't you should at least have some sort of plan in place!! Somewhere to go from here!!! "I don't know." ISNT AN ANSWER! "I don't have a plan." ISNT A THING! And you NEVER even physically examined me !!! That is not a doctor! You did not do your job! I came to UMASS thinking I would be receiving expert care!!! Boy was I wrong!!! Do yourself a favor go elsewhere!!! This doctor cares about dollar signs not his patients.
