Quick service and good food. Not my favorite pork fried rice and the beef was overdone but the rest was good.

I've grown up around this place and still go once every couple of months. Best chinese food I've ever had by far.

My husband and I ate here this afternoon and the food was delicious. My hubby is very picky also…read moreabout Chinese food so for him to enjoy it it had to be good. I will go back for sure. We got one combination plate and it was more than enough for both of us ( were not big eaters though). Very good sized portion.

I have been so disappointed with this place time and time again. The reason why I keep going you…read moreask? Good question! Mainly because it is the ONLY Chinese restaurant close to where we live and if you want a fix, this is the only place around. I have never been overly impressed with this place as it seems as though they fill some of the orders with their "buffet" items (for example, if you order chicken fried rice / chicken balls - the texture and temperature of the food when you get it home seems very similar to heat lamped warmed food sitting on the buffet table.). This restaurant could be so much better if they really tried (I truly believe this!) and beefed up their quality of food. Just recently, they have increased the prices on their menu - any where from $0.10 to $2.00 increase per dish. It may sound small, but when you add this up on a few dishes (especially on the Chow Mein, Rice or Suggestions dishes) it can greatly add to your overall bill. In addition, the qty of food has gone down - so now you are paying more for 'meh' food, and getting less. So not impressed!! I'm not expecting gourmet food prepared by top notch chefs but I feel we should have some better quality food at fair prices, rather than just the standard Canadian-Chinese food you can get in any city/town. It seems like they know they are the only Chinese Food place around so they have given up on offering quality food. Moncton/Dieppe isn't that far guys, take the extra 20/25min drive and get some food that will taste delicious and offer pricing that is fair.

Best Chinese food in Moncton .. service excellent .. egg rolls r exquisite ... buffet on Sundays…read moresmall but delicious

"Authentic" Chinese food by Owners who have never ate Chinese food…read more The owners/cooks need to go on a field trip to Toronto - go to Moon Palace Cantonese Cuisine to see what REAL authentic Cantonese / Chinese food is. Go eat at House of Gourmet on Dundas. Check out Pearl Harbourfront Chinese Cuisine Visit a few more, once you have learned, come back, re-do your menu, and live up to the sign you put up in front of your restaurant. Let's get to the review for "House of Lam" They served me Boxed Rice and called it Fried Rice. I recognize Minute rice and Rice Roni from my College days. The sweet and sour sauce looked, felt, smelled and tasted exactly like great value sweet and sour sauce you get from Walmart. The chicken balls were probably the lowest quality chicken you could get, same with the egg rolls. I'm willing to bet they got generic freezer pre-made chicken balls and rolls from the grocery store. Don't even get me started on the SLIMY chicken. The chow mein doesn't have any noodles... it's just soggy bean sprouts. It's 100% bean sprouts, 0% noodles. I asked them why the Chow Mein was just bean sprouts without noodles? They explained it was a "Traditional Cantonese style of making Chow Mein" That's weird, because when I went to a Cantonese restaurant in Hong Kong - I ate at Cantonese restaurants that put bean sprouts AND noodles in their chow mein, it was BOTH, not just bean sprouts. We ordered 1 lunch special, 1 order of orange chicken, and an extra serving of chow mein and fried rice. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE for a 80$ lunch between 2 people. Way too expensive to be serving such dog shit quality food. I hate that it says "Authentic Chinese" I grew up in Vancouver with Chinese friends and family, I dated a Chinese girl for 4 years. I've easily had over 10,000 Chinese meals at friends/girlfriends houses, during Lunar New Year, in Vancouver, in Hong Kong, in different places all over the world, and I've never had Chinese food this bad, or this wrong in my entire life. This is not a Chinese restaurant this is Monctonese at best. Owners - PLEASE follow the advice I gave at the top of my review so you can flip your business around, because the only people who think your restaurant is good, are people who grew up in Moncton, never had Chinese food and have nothing to compare it to. The server was a polite old lady, I gave her a 10$ tip on my 80$ bill and thanked her for her hospitality. No complaints about her.
