The place is dark inside, but it's fine. One unisex toilet at the back (no stairs). It's bright in here. We wanted soup on this cold blustery day. They offer it here. The person who greeted us so pleasantly seems to also be the waitress and the cook - always smiling! She came out once to check on us, which I appreciated. The soups were good! I ordered a vegetable soup with noodles; hubby ordered a pork soup. We ended up swapping, but he kept the pork. However, I got a sample, and it was outstanding! Delicious!! This restaurant has a convenient central location in downtown Moncton. It's right on Main Street, with street parking, although I am always on foot. I had the Nagasaki Jampong and it was really quite tasty and you can see that they don't skimp on the seafood from the picture attached. I usually get take out and the service was prompt and friendly. Although tasty, it was a bit pricy for what I got, but I'll be trying out other menu options in the future. read more

My DC and I were passing through Moncton and had a ramen craving after pigging out (or is it lobstering out?) on lobster rolls in PEI! The positive reviews on Yelp were actually what piqued our interest, and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Nagasaki Jampong ramen and found the broth balanced and flavourful. Most impressive, however, was the seemingly bottomless bowl of seafood that was cooked just right - not overdone, and definitely not raw. The ingredients tasted fresh. The ramen themselves were decent. My DC got the Bibimbob and it looked and tasted pretty authentic (not surprised since I believe the owners are Korean), but too bad it didn't come in a stone bowl. Overall, this is a solid place to grab a bite. It would definitely stand up to some of the local restos back home in Toronto, so what more can you say? read more

I had never eaten lobster or mussels with chopsticks, but found it doable. The service was friendly and efficient on a lightly busy evening. The wooden decor and modern lighting gave the place a contemporary vibe, complemented by the soundtrack of Asian pop and rap. The menu offers a wide variety of ramen soups with several broths and toppings, as well as gyoza (pot stickers), grilled cha sit pork, and other appetizers/side dishes. I did not venture into this, but would consider it on another visit. A friend who travelling through Moncton recommended this place to me so I thought the next time I was passing through I would try it out. It really is a great spot for a warm lunch or dinner. The noodle bowl i had was a vegetable gyoza one and I get hey it's ramen noodles so it should be cheap, but for $12 I couldn't finish it as it was huge. Not too salty but flavourful enough.
