Alll of our emails and phone calls were answered promptly and courteously. The fee for pick up and drop was nominal and helped out a lot. The textile selection was endless. Delivery and drop teams were polite and very conscious of the furniture they were moving as well as the home in which they were moving the furniture into. I loved this couch when I bought it in 1997. But all the moves and climates took a toll on its insides but not its bones. I only had purched enough fabric for the seat cushion, back Euro pillows will be the final addition to this grand lady. So when I left there I was smarter than when I got there. The whole process was stress free. I got to pick out my slab (Fantasy Brown), everything was approved by me before they did any cutting, and the finished countertops came out perfect. I was a little taken back by the need for a 50% deposit, but it turns out that everyone requires that same deposit, so not a problem. Vary professional crew came out and were done in about 3 hours. We stopped in late last Saturday morning on the recommendation of our cabinet maker. I was very disappointed that, although the sign on the door clearly states that anyone entering must be wearing a mask, the red-headed woman that initially helped us didn't wear one at all, and the second woman who assisted us with a product quote kept hers under her nose the whole time. The second woman escorted us around the showroom to help us find a match for something we already liked. She priced out a Hanstone countertop with 2 separate measurements (with and without a separate breakfast bar) and the estimates were $2600 more than one we got from ProSource for the exact same material and the quote for turnaround time was 2 weeks longer. While we appreciated the very quick estimate (we did have to wait a few days for ProSource), it was really not worth the trip out to Portsmouth for us. They also don't carry anything other than stainless sinks, which was unfortunate. Given their inability to adhere to their own protocols and their exorbitant pricing, we will not be patronizing Superior Marble & Stone.
