We are new to south Florida and went by reviews left by others. Our first visit with our two guys went pretty well with Dr. R and his staff. One year later we were shocked at how uncaring and rushed both Dr. R and his two techs were. OMG! Selina and Eddie were awful to our dogs. Super cold towards us the minute they walked in the waiting area, and Eddie was so rude to our one young dog, didn't even address us, nor give a moment to warm up to our pup who simply was scared and didn't want to walk by Eddie's side! Right then Eddie yelled "MOVE IT" to him. I wanted to grab our pup and leave right then and there, and probably should have taken Eddie aside and given him a verbal warning, but we decided to keep it calm for our dogs. Our 2nd guy is a rescue and really scared of vet visits, and needs meds. He was always so well taken care of by our old vet team in NJ and was NEVER AGGRESSIVE - NEVER! They cared about his anxiety and had so much patience, allowing him to get more comfortable with them before his examination. NOT HERE - good old EDDIE tugged him away ONCE AGAIN - and we could hear how much distress our dog was in. It was so WRONG!! IT WAS CLEARLY UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR. NOOOO ONE took a minute to just let our 2nd guy get somewhat comfortable before taking him back. Dr. R could NOT have cared less either, frankly. OMG it was awful. LASTLY - WORD OF ADVICE - DO NOT OVERBOOK YOUR PATIENTS!! HAVE THE DECENCY TO CARE THAT PEOPLE ARE WITH THEIR DEAR PETS ‼‼‼ We had to wait close to ONE HOUR past our scheduled appointment time - with two nervous dogs. ALSO - TRY AND PAY IN A TIMELY MANNER TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE ...... FORGET IT. ANOTHER 20 MINUTES UNTIL THE FRONT DESK FOLKS APPEARED‼‼‼. WE ARE DISGUSTED BEYOND BELIEF. NEVER, EVER AGAIN. My cat was urinating blood. I was in a panic! Woolbright Vet is around the corner where I live. There was no one there. I was asked what my problem was and if I was there before. I replied no, I've never been there before then explained why I was there! The girl on the computer deadpanned me and simply said there was no one there who could see my cat!! 5 stars based on Dr. Ramanathan (and ONLY him). He is very sweet and caring, and genuinely has your (and your pet's) best interest at heart. Did not recommend anything "extra" or unnecessary and I felt the prices were the most reasonable ones I've seen in a long time (I am constantly switching vets because I travel for work). With that being said, I returned to the office for a follow-up appointment (a few weeks after my first appt.) for a booster vaccine. Dr. Ramanathan was not there (on 6/2/22) and another doctor was there for the day. I wish I had gotten his name- but he was VERY rude to me. I was back to get a flu booster, and had inquired about getting a Lyme booster. My sister is a vet, and said her office recommends a Lyme booster if there is a more than a year between this shot and the last shot. When I asked this doctor about this policy, he rudely explained to me "how vaccines work", and completely wrote me off. He also felt the need to tell me "I didn't need the vaccine anyway, because ticks aren't prevalent in Florida". To which I informed him I am AWARE, but am simply visiting family, live out of state, and hike often, in which I am constantly pulling ticks off my dog. I asked him for the manufacturer's name, so that I could follow up on my own time to be sure, which pissed him off even more. He wouldn't even make eye contact with me at this point. I ended up calling on my own, and the manufacturer said "they weren't sure themselves, and would recommend a booster to be safe". 1. The vet clearly should be using a different brand for their Lyme vaccine, because the manufacturer should have more answers and know their product inside and out. 2. Now I'm stuck making another vet appointment in my new city for a booster that could have EASILY been given at this vet (yay for another "initial vet fee"). Even if this vet doesn't practice this policy of a Lyme booster, it wouldn't have hurt my dog to give it to her, especially when I asked numerous times. With that being said, I would/will return to see Dr. Ramanathan. If I walk in and the other guy is there, I will walk out immediately. He WILL cause them to lose business, let's hope he's not a regular vet there. The rest of the staff is very friendly, accommodating, and caring; I felt right at home, despite me being a new client. read more

Hands down the best vet I've been to in 11 years of living in Palm beach county!! Dr Ramanathan is awesome. Knowledgable and compassionate. I took my dog to another vet and spent nearly $2000 and she was no better. I took her here and with diet and probiotics she was cured!!! Even food and products are not marked up nearly as much as other vets! Dr Ram worked at Palm Beach Vet specialists for 10 years before opening his own practice here.
