2 stars. Before sending your pup here PLEASE read this…read morereview. My precious French Brittany went here for 8 years, occasionally when we went on vacation. He LOVED going. We would say "do you want to go to Jenny's?" And he would go NUTS. One weekend, he was there for one day when he was attacked by multiple dogs in her backyard. We were told it was a "scuffle". 3 days & a trip to MSU Animal Emergency Hospital later, he passed away from his injuries. I wish I could show the pictures, but I know they would get taken down. He went into septic shock & then went into cardiac arrest, he was only 9 years old & we loved him dearly. Like I said, he went there for 8 years, which is why I give 2 stars. He loved going & we always felt comfortable sending him there, up until it was his last time ever there. Just know before sending your pup here (unless it has changed) that the dogs outside are left unattended, with no cameras. We truly love Jenny & the care she offered, and in no way are we saying to never send your pet here, but PLEASE use discretion before sending them. I dont want this to happen to anyone else's beloved pet. The trauma of all of this that went down will truly haunt me forever. He looked HORRIBLE, his vet said that the attack went on well over 30 minutes. How no one heard it/saw it is beyond me. Unless things have changed & she has hired someone to be outside with them or something to help avoid this in the future, please just decide if your dog's life is worth it or not. Our dog was our entire world, until he wasn't because of human error. We have no doubt Jenny loved Copper & we truly have forgiven her. I know she loves what she does. I am wholeheartedly hoping she has changed procedures/protocols/etc. so this NEVER happens again at her home. We miss our sweet boy so incredibly much, over something that we recognize as an accident, however, it was completely avoidable. We know Jenny is as heartbroken as we are, and in no way am I blaming or accusing or anything of the like, or in no way do I want her to go out of business. Just please, please, please, decide if you want this to happen to your dog or not. We never thought it could happen to us until it did. Our sweet boy lost his life & we lost our best friend because no one was out there watching. The extent of his injuries was just horrible. He endured one surgery to get skin grafts before he passed away on February 8th, 2024. I think we will always be devastated, and the memory & images of his mauled body will never, ever leave us.

My dogs bad habit(s) changed instantly when I began using the "tools/strategies/tips" that were given. The corrections are easy and only require consistency from us. I also really appreciated that one piece of the training was solely focused on "understanding" your dog(s) and why they behave in certain ways. This helped us so much!!!! Also, Erin was So GREAT! She is highly knowledgeable, caring, patient and so easy to work with. You can tell she has a ton of experience and understands dogs and dogs within family structures. I was hesitant at first because I though lessons needed to be in person, but I'm glad I decided to take virtual lessons!!! Even though we couldn't train together in person I still noticed a huge improvement in my dogs behavior! Kaitlyn is great at communicating and easy to get along with. She answered my abundance of questions with easy and was happy to do so. She is very experienced and could spot small things I was doing in my practices with my dog that were doing more harm than good!! Beau is just 5 months old and thanks to Kaitlyn he can now: -leave something alone when asked. -not jump up or become nippy when playing. -reliably come when called (and has an emergency recall, recommended by Kaitlyn....genius!) -Wait to be fed -Quiet down on command (still working on it but he's come a LONGGG way) -Has made leaps and bounds in resource guarding, he still does guard but no where near as bad as when I took him home! This is after just two lessons!! Now, it is A LOT of homework on my end to keep up with his training but having a trained dog is a life long commitment to working with them, Kaitlyn offered GREAT advice and guidance. Plus you can not beat her prices!

My emotions were taken advantage of and almost scammed. They took him away to examine him and came saying he had a heart murmur. They wanted us to pay nearly $500 to sedate and examine him. At that point I was beyond tears hearing the possible state of my dog. As were figuring out the next steps words were exchanged between my mom and the vet which they refused us service and left my dog on the ground. As I'm leaving, I asked am I good to leave and the lady says yes so, I go to my car, and another comes out of the building very aggressive and pointing her figures at me saying I have a fee to pay but I was unaware because the other lady said I was good to go. Keep in mind I am in the car trying to collect myself and find alternative veterinarians during this moment. Also, we had concerns about his eye that were never addressed. During the same day we visited another vet, and he did not have a heart murmur and was perfectly healthy besides his eye needing eye drops. Overall, please be careful of scammers and get second opinions. We do not recommend this vet. We've NEVER had issues with them until this visit.
