My mom's Irish Wolfhound mix always has a great stay at M&M Kennel. He is a high anxiety and nervous dog, but still has a great stay. He really loves the boy who plays with him as well. We drive from Muskegon to Holland for this kennel. Definitely recommend. read more

My wife and I were driving to Sault Ste Marie, MI from Iowa City this passed Sunday and stopped in Holland to rest (she was 8 months pregnant and wasn't able to sit in the car too long). At about 4 a.m. the next morning we woke up to a pleasant surprise; Leah's water broke! We threw everything into the car and drove to the closest hospital. Did I mention that our 9 year old pug Stella was with us? The first few hours in the hospital were spent with me running back and forth from Leah's room to the car to check on Stella. We don't know anybody in Holland and no kennels were open at 5 in the morning on a Sunday! I called multiple kennels and left frantic messages with each one. Needless to say, we got a call back from the wonderful people at this establishment. The owner was on her way to Holland Hospital to visit a relative and stated that it would be no trouble to pick up our dog on the way back home. We met briefly in the parking lot for a quick exchange and then I was back in the delivery room (with no interruptions, thanks to M & M) for the next 7 hours until our beautiful baby boy came into this world! Being a month early, the little guy has to stay in the hospital for about a week for observation. Again, the kennel was more than understanding of our situation and was happy to watch her for as long as was needed. Luckily for Stella pug, our good friend came down from Sault Ste Marie to pick her up and grab a few things. When I called the kennel to let them know my friend would be there Wednesday morning and that I would be sending money with him to pay the bill, their answer was "don't worry about a bill; consider it our baby gift to you." I can't say enough about the charity and hospitality of these people. Knowing that our dog was taken care of during this stressfull (yet incredible) time was a blessing. Then the fact that they didn't charge us a dime for their services proves that kindness does stand out in this world. We are forever in your debt and will always remember you! MOVE ON!!! I dropped my dog off Fri and 12pm and when doing so I informed them that I would be back to pick up tomorrow at 5pm. When I picked up I was told that I owe them for TWO nights. I asked why? She them shows me on the paper that use as your document (which you don't get a copy till you pay her) if pick up is after 1pm you are charged for another night. And I was hear before no issues Its one thing to inform me of this when dripping the dog off and especially when I specifically told them I was picking up tomorrow at 5pm, but to just throw it at the customer when they are picking up is a bit SHADY.. By far the most UNPROFESSIONAL AND WORST SERVICE. She got very angry when I told her I wasn't expecting this and that I only had 20 cash on me, could I mail the rest? She starting yelling at me while my daughters are in there mind you. Calling me an Idiot and a DICK. (My daughters didnt know what was going on.) Needless to say I left my daughters in the truck while I went back and got my dog once acquiring the extra nights payment, just so they didn't have to hear her Yell anymore. Save yourself the stress and find a decent boarder for your family pet. I also noticed when my dog got home she stayed at her water dish for 10 min. I am not saying she didnt have water. I didnt go back to her cage, but that is ODD for my dog to drink that much at once. read more

Josh and I brought both of our dogs to M & M Kennels when we went down to Florida on our spring break vacation this year. We have a 7 year old Catahoula Leopard dog and a 1 years old Irish Wolfhound. If you know anything about Irish Wolfhounds, they tend to have lots and lots of health problems. Unfortunately that rang true when our pup became sick while we were away. Mary at M & M kennels was absolutely amazing at caring for him. She noticed he wasn't acting like himself right away and called us to let us know she thought he may need to visit the vet. When he didn't seem to improve she brought him to the vet for us. He had to stay at the vet for several days but Mary continued to call us and the vet every single day to make sure our dog was doing ok. She literally treated him like he was her own dog. When we came to pick up our other dog, who had been enjoying his time at M & M Kennels very much, we were expecting a big bill for all the extra work Mary did caring for our Irish Wolfhound and bringing him to the vet for us. Mary didn't even charge us a penny for our Irish Wolfhound's stay or all the extra care. She just wished us the best and hoped that he would feel better soon. She is a wonderful and genuine person and I whole heartedly recommend this kennel to anyone who considers their dogs a part of the family like we do. Mary will certainly take wonderful care of them. ***Also, for anyone who is curious. Our Irish Wolfhound ended up having an extreme case of separation anxiety which caused his intestines to completely shut down. He had an exploratory surgery to rule out any potential obstructions and was then given a medication to help re-boot his gut. He is expected to make a full recovery thanks to Mary and M & M Kennels!! read more

I have never had an issue with this kennel. I have been using this place for 7 years now. They know my dog they take good care of her and she has plenty of room. She is always tired when she comes home because she is not used to other dogs barking. I will continue to use this kennel. read more
