Seemed like a real safe area but there was a security guard on site in the evening that hung out in the lobby. Guest services and attitudes were great. Shout out to Theo at the front desk, he was super helpful and checkin and making recommendations for dinner that evening. Every employee said hello, greeted, and acknowledged you weather front desk, maitience, housekeeping, etc. So nice. My room was not ready on time (though they did offer me a different room) 2. They were definitely having a digital key issue as well as a door issue. My digital Key NEVER showed up and the outside door keyed entrance sometimes took 10 tries to get in the door 3. There was a bit of a black "Industrial" film on the floor that was either left from a previous occupant or something I tracked in from the parking lot.

This was, without exaggeration, the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stepped foot in. It was…read moreso filthy that it honestly felt unfit even for an animal, let alone paying guests. The room had a hot tub that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Before even running the water, I wiped the bottom of it with a towel and the towel turned completely brown from the buildup of dirt and grime. That alone should tell you everything about the cleanliness standards here. It only got worse from there. There were pubic hairs sitting in the bottom of the trash can, clearly left from someone shaving, and the trash hadn't even been changed. The bed sheets had visible blood stains on them, which is beyond unacceptable for any hotel. The headboard was covered in greasy handprints, and the mirrors and dresser had dust and spider webs on them as if no one had cleaned the room in weeks. The bathtub/shower was so dirty that I genuinely felt like I needed shower shoes just to step inside it. After about an hour and a half of trying to convince ourselves we could deal with it, we realized the room was simply too unsanitary to stay in. When we went to the manager, she initially seemed understanding and said a refund would be fine. However, because the reservation was made through a third-party app, she said they would need to contact the hotel and she would approve it. We followed every step we were told to take, but we still have not received our refund. When we called back to check on it, the employee who answered was dismissive and told us there was nothing she could do and that we "should have looked at the room before buying it." That response was shocking. We were traveling from four hours away -- how exactly are guests supposed to physically inspect a room before booking a hotel in another city? We also paid at the front desk before entering the room, which is standard practice. Between the unbelievably filthy conditions and the completely unhelpful customer service, this was an awful experience from start to finish. I genuinely do not understand how this place is still operating or how the health department hasn't intervened. I strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here look elsewhere. No one should have to pay for a room in these conditions.

If there was a 3.5 stars, I'd choose that, but I decided to round up to 4 since it was a good…read moreexperience here overall. Anyway, I booked this hotel for a weekend of scrapbooking in the area at a local business. I made the mistake once before (and never again) of staying to far away and this place seemed to have it all. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but maybe could've been better. I booked a room with a patio since I like fresh air this time of year. I arrived and checked in with no problem, and my room was fabulous. It was clean, well stocked with towels, soaps, and everything worked. But, here's where they could've done better: **The shower and bathtub were very dated. Other Marriott's I've stayed at were more modern and up to date with their showers. Things like tile with glass and the ability to walk in and out without a tub. Felt extremely dated compared to the rest of the property. **no coffee provided in the lobby, and breakfast is an extra charge. When did this change/happen? I stayed at a Courtyard in Minneapolis last year at this time and they had a fabulous spread of food. Not here. At least put out some coffee! **While the property was in good shape, it was starting to look worn in a few spots. I normally don't pay that close attention or care that much because it's a hotel and not someone's home. I noticed peeling wallpaper in spots (in my room) and the sliding door to the patio area was stuck. I did check the 12 locks they had on it, and had to have someone from maintenance stop by when I was out to get it working, which they did. It was fixed when I got back, so high 5 to them. **small inconvenience but something that I noticed right away. Usually, there's a garbage can by the entrance of the hotel for stuff that maybe was in your car that you want to get rid of like cups, food wrappers, or whatnot while traveling. Not here! I saw a garbage can after I checked in off to the right on the way to the elevator. Would be nice if they had one out front off to the side of the entryway so you don't have to stink up the lobby or carry trash all that way. Like I said, small inconvenience, but worth it's weight in gold. Overall a decent experience and I would return in the future. In Toledo, I've noticed hotels fall into two categories. Either they're good but somewhat pricey (over a $100) or they're some place that you shouldn't be at and not worth the $65. This one was good for the area and the price, but I felt it was needing some work as a Marriott brand that could be better. Personally, I hold Marriott to a slightly higher standard than others and pay extra for the nice stays here. again, not bad just needs some attention.

We arrived late, around 11pm, and had no reservation however the hotel receptionist got us a room and extended us a late checkout. The rooms are dated however the facilities are well kept. The smell dissipated somewhat by the last morning but was still there...maybe I got desensitized to it ‍ The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows were small, square and not the most comfortable but also not the worst I've ever slept on either. The breakfast buffet had Dannon yogurt, sugary cereals, bread/bagels that you could toast with butter and cream cheese and jelly options. No peanut butter options for those interested. It had scrambled eggs that were egg beater type of eggs, sausage , biscuits, not so great muffins/danish , a variety of juices, pouches of oatmeal and make your own waffles. Hostile and unprofessional front desk experience -- April 15, 2026, ~6:35 PM…read more I checked in this evening and the front desk agent did not greet me, make eye contact, or acknowledge my presence -- I had to say hello first. When she asked for a credit card, I explained I use a digital wallet and offered Apple Pay. She refused, citing "policy" but would not explain why. When I pointed out that physical card swiping carries a higher skimming and fraud risk than contactless payment, she claimed that digital payments are MORE dangerous -- which is flatly false. When I asked her to name a single instance of Apple Pay being hacked, she couldn't. Instead of responding professionally, she started yelling at me and told me to come behind the desk and scan the card myself. She then accused me of "disrespecting" her and called me a liar -- even though she was the one who made a demonstrably false claim. When I told her I would be reporting her to management and corporate, she laughed and mocked me in front of another guest as I walked away. I travel frequently and have never been treated this way at any hotel. This was not a policy disagreement -- this was an employee who was hostile from the moment I walked in, made false statements, escalated to shouting, and then openly ridiculed a paying customer. A formal complaint has been filed with Choice Hotels corporate and Priceline. Avoid this location.

We tried to call the front desk twice and nobody answered. I then came downstairs ( I was on the top floor) and rang the front desk bell, as nobody was at the desk. Nobody came out. It took my husband calling out a few times before someone came out. She advised us that the microwave has a safety feature that makes it shut itself off and told me to google the model and try to get it to work ourselves. This made me a bit upset but we tried and it didn't work. So my husbands food was stuck inside the microwave and the front desk refused to help. I had booked a second room as soon as we had arrived, before realizing all these issues existed. I spoke to the front desk about the issues the following day, and he gave me a discount ($40 on a $160 dollar room) for the hassle. My husband and I did some Mother's Day activities outside the hotel, came back, ate dinner, then attempted to start water in the jacuzzi to get in. We turned on the dial to run the jets as we had before and got no response. We tried turning on the buttons and all the dials, nothing. I called the front desk, had to call twice but the same woman from the night before answered. She told me she had no other jacuzzi rooms but to speak to someone in the morning about a discount. So I did, and when I came down in the morning the same person was up front again. She had me wait a few minutes, left and came back and told me it she couldn't do anything because they did in fact work just fine. I asked her to show me , she just repeated herself to which asked her Again to show me. She refused, which of course she won't because it does NOT work. I am disputing the charges on my credit card, and have been spreading word about this experience. The whole experience has left a horrible taste in my mouth about best western, and I have told everyone I know about the experience. Apparently, a lot of others around Toledo feel this location has went downhill over the recent years and I definitely agree.

This time, I was down for a scrapbooking retreat not far from the hotel and needed to stay for two nights. After having done this enough I knew the general area I needed to stay in and this hotel seemed to hit all the marks so I booked it. Pulling up, this location is situated with other hotels as well, so no extra traffic is in the area. The property is clean and well maintained, and even though I was there 15 minutes before the formal check in, they were able to get me my room in just a matter of a few minutes. My room was clean, well stocked and in good working order when I went in. There's a coffee maker with K cups, a small microwave and a fridge if you need it. The TV had plenty of channels, I had blackout curtains and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with supplies. The staff here is wonderful and there was always someone at the front desk. They also do texting here, so if you need extra towels, or like me, coffee K cups, you just text them and they will get them for you. There's also a pool, a workout room and a comfy lobby to hang out in if you need it. They don't serve a free breakfast here, but you can pre pay for it when you book. Or, you can pay for a breakfast at the Bistro in the lobby if needed. If you don't want that, there's a Tim Horton's at the end of the street you can pick up food from and I think other breakfast joints in the area. They also have water and coffee in the lobby at all times, along with a few tables outside in the back patio area if you feel you want to enjoy the nice weather. My only complaint is the lobby needs better soundproofing. It's mostly tile and if there's families or more than a few people it gets very hard to hear. Soundproofing is needed to muffle the noise when it gets busy. That's my only complaint about this place. Parking is good with plenty of spots and the lots in awesome condition. Prices here are affordable and close to what you need. I would gladly book and stay here again as it was a very pleasant experience overall, despite the loudish lobby.
