I don't even know where to begin. Dr. Woods took on the daunting task of fixing another MD's blotched up rebuild from a double mastectomy. A huge risk/undertaking for anyone in any industry. He and his staff exemplifies professionalism like no other. When going through such an ordeal, as a patient we will have our "bad" days. Not only is he re-assuring but he follows through on everything. To hear a Dr. say I am sorry, even for something that is out of their control humanizes them! The Dr. that blotched up the surgery, Dr. Mark Codner, would never use those two simple words even when something WAS HIS/THEIR fault. A good Dr. goes beyond just doing good work, they return calls in a timely manor, they show that they are truly concerned about you as a person and not boasting about their achievements, they are understanding, compassionate and down to earth.. You can be the best Dr. in the world and still make mistakes but what separates the good from the excellent is the ability to own up and fix what went wrong. We did encounter HUGE issues during the "do-over". NONE of which were because of Dr. Woods. just risks with any surgery. Yet, he was always there for me. There was a time when I looked in the mirror and saw crushed coke cans followed by a period of not being able to breathe. Thank you Dr. Woods for resuscitating me! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Woods! read more
