Wasps started coming into my apartment, which is a life-threatening situation for me because I am severely allergic. When I reported it, the so-called "maintenance team" showed up and their solution was to slap duct tape over my air vent and tell me not to use my own bedroom. That was over two weeks ago. Since then, the leasing office has been silent. No phone call, no email, no update. Absolutely nothing. So here I am, still paying full rent for an apartment where my main bedroom is completely unusable and unsafe, with no airflow because the vent is sealed shut. Pest control? Still haven't shown up. Communication? Nonexistent. Concern for a tenant's health and safety? Zero. This place does not care about its residents, their safety, or even basic accountability. The lack of urgency in addressing a potentially life-threatening situation is appalling and shows how little they value the people who live here. If you're considering moving here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere--you'll regret signing a lease with management this careless and incompetent. Update August 26, 2025 After posting my review, pest control finally showed up today--but they told me they had never even received a maintenance request or been notified about the infestation. That means for over two weeks, while I've been severely at risk due to my allergy, the leasing office and maintenance never bothered to properly communicate the issue or get it resolved. This is beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. The lack of urgency, accountability, and communication from the staff has put my health in danger. However, we were ignored for a good amount of time. Staff sashayed all over. They saw us and didnt utter one word to us. My friend who can be loud and extra lol finally spoke up and said hey we are waiting!! "Can we get some assistance please?" I guess that what it takes to get attention but struck a nerve. One older AA women with an attitude said hey well be with you. And were gonna need some id if you wanna tour. Well damn. No problem. With that tone I had developed a bad taste in my mouth. Tbh I didnt know she worked here by her attire. Moments later, a younger leasing staff female helped us and she actual had some professionalism. Rent was moderate and I would've got a nice discount due to my job. The model apartment looks nice but i can see they have problems. The amenities are nice. Everything that I would love in the community. Nice pool, rec area and gym. It was in my price point. However, upon leaving a resident approached us in the parking lot and told how bad the management was. Everything they said was a lie and how lax maintenance. They have a pest problems etc. My friend recommended that we revisit the property again at night. Week later, we toured at night and its a different image. Men loiter, music is blaring and you can smell weed all in the hallways. No sign of any type of security patrolling at night. He flat out was like no. This wont be our new place. Idc if its near Bowie Town Center or your beloved Jerrys. My heart sanked. Good thing for call block, they harrass you with calls like they dont take no for an answer. Even the grouchy older woman had called and left a message. This time she had professional and common courtesy. I guess when you wanna make a sale, you would butter me up. The maintenance crew I believe allegedly stole the money during a routine maintenance visit, and instead of addressing the issue, management has sided with the crew. They never even confronted the team with the allegations. To make matters worse, they have placed the liability on me, refusing to take any responsibility for the incident. People are living here on VOUCHERS. The behavior you witness here is something you would expect from a college dorm. Dog feces littered everywhere, poor parking, and screaming. This is NOT a smoke free building despite what they advertise, they do not enforce the policies and I smell weed outside and even my NEW apartment had cigarette stains on the walls when I moved in that they could not clean (see in pictures) THERE IS ZERO SECURITY. Your cars are not safe here. Broken windows and stolen tires ARE CONSISTENT. When I get home I see cars with shattered windows and tires gone. (See in pictures) Management say they're are "collaborating" with law enforcement which just means they called the cops. They are doing NOTHING to make the place safer; ZERO additional camera, ZERO security officers and ZERO extra lighting. And to top it off, for the my kitchen sink is completely broken.

I love the wooded grounds and the fact that you can see wildlife in the area. There is an outdoor pool which is open in the summer months. It is also a complex that permits pets. Lakeside North is very safe and is near the Greenbelt Police Station. I have experienced few problems with noise or disruption. Residents consist mainly of families, individual professionals, and graduate students. The apartments are spacious, have lots of closet space, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Windows were replaced a few years ago with double-pane windows, which are better for conserving energy. Most units are carpeted but you can also get units with wood laminate flooring. All units have dishwashers and card-operated washer/dryers are in the basements of each building. Maintenance is very responsive to requests for repairs. Probably the best part of living here is the Lakeside North staff. The rental office staff plan events for residents throughout the year, including parties for Mother's Day, Halloween, and a Labor Day barbecue/pool party. They do thoughtful things such as leaving Valentine's/Halloween candies on residents' doors. They also help to publicize community events and volunteer opportunities.

My husband and I were looking for a two bedroom two bath apartment they did not have any available. I must add that the young lady who assisted us I believe her name is Lily was very well spoken, polite and knowledgeable about the property. if there had been an available property we would have taken it based solely on Miss Lily's demeanour and professionalism. You have an amazing employee, her customer service is outstanding.
