After the 3rd hospitalization they realized it was Covid. On my 5th visit I "Coded" not Stroke, but low Blood Pressure has made me passout (at home), this time causing a brain bleed, fortunately outside the brain. It had affected my speak, writing what the brain tells me and having completely different is awful after I read what have written it is embarrassing and I reasons stopped writing reviews because for it. St. Luke's Rehabilitation is top notch and they don't let you let miss a beat. So 2020 was rough. I vowed not to see the ER in 2021, but I broke wrist in 3 places and surgery is scheduled for another issue this month. This will be OK.

This raised serious concerns about professionalism and patient-centered care. Additionally, the billing practices were excessive and unexpected. Appointments routinely exceeded $550, and I was charged at a rate of approximately $175-350 per hour for every minute of time spent, similar to an attorney's billing structure. Because there is no support staff, any time spent outside of scheduled appointments--regardless of how brief--was also billed by the minute. This was not clearly communicated upfront and felt unreasonable given the already high cost per visit. Patients deserve transparent communication, ethical decision-making, and care based on medical need rather than financial considerations. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this practice.

Also, recently I had a strange experience when the breast center placed my breast surgeon's order for a breast MRI on hold so that a technician from breast center could "review the order and release it". It took me a couple of emails, a few phone calls, and finally going to the breast center to have it released to be able to schedule my MRI after a couple of days of delay because of this non-sense policy. They should do better.
