They sell all sorts, from kitchen furniture to glasses, to 'slurp' soup mugs, to banana leaf trays and garden settings. My favourite item in store is the wall-mounted wine opener, which comes in at a pretty 139 euro (ouch, but once you see it no price is too great!) A good place for some Sunday shopping if you're of the inclination. They also have an Insomnia cafe attached for those who tire of their partner's browsing habits.

Think Ikea but more expensive so keep an eye open for their sales as they generally have a good bargain to be found. When you do bite the bullet and buy something you generally still love it even after a few years and their stuff is always good quality so perhaps they may be expensive but worth it.

I think they were in stock and they were trying to get more money from me. Very disappointed.

Bad mistake. This time I needed a nice plant as a present so seeing they are basically on my doorstep I drove in - what a surprise. It's actually a quite big nursery with a rather big car park too. Looking to find the best suitable plant for my friend I looked at almost all plants on display. And they all looked great with good prices. Together with pots and other gardening related items it's definitely now a place on my map. The staff was very nice and obviously enjoyed working there.

"I was a plumber for 22 years," says one bloke in an orange vest, smiling through gritted teeth, "I had me own van, me own business, it's all gone now," he fails to add. "I spent 10 years working as a decorator," says another, failing to mention "before you bastards came and showed people how to do it themselves". However, if you do want to do it yourself, then this is the warehouse to come to. Huge and sprawling, it's a haven for blokes who want to get out of the house, families at a loose end and those with actual pressing DIY needs. Although you are as likely to find a teenager as a fella with 30 years experience wandering the shop floor, you usually can find the advice you need.

They also had a large selection of skirting boards and the only place I could find the right sized ones I need to cover some holes that were bashed in the wall while removing the old ones, while still being thin enough to match the door frames. Some stuff is really cheap compared to the likes of Woodies but other things are really expensive which confused me. For example No More Nails is nearly twice as expensive but their own brand roller sets are way cheaper at 3 euro, bargain. They also don't have an Irish website which I found annoying, I'd like to check prices before I make a trip out.

I don't usually write reviews, but after my experience with Deskelly, I feel it's important to…read moreshare. When we first visited the Tallaght branch, the staff were extremely helpful, especially Colm, who really went out of his way to assist us. This gave us confidence to go with Deskelly, even though their pricing was only average compared to other quotes. We chose them because we expected professionalism and reliability from a larger company. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. Endless Postponements: Dates we had confirmed in the shop were not entered into their system. More than once, I was told last-minute that the fitting was postponed, including on the very morning I was expecting them. This caused huge stress, especially since I had to rearrange the delivery of a new bed and other furniture several times. Customer Care Issues: Communication with customer care was one of the most frustrating parts. Calls were cut off while I was still talking, promises of follow-up were not kept, and I constantly had to chase updates myself. The lack of respect for my time and situation was very disappointing. Inconsistent Fitting Standards: The LVT team did an excellent, clean job. The carpet fitting, however, was messy and inconsistent. Some areas were left unfinished, and in one case the fitter admitted he had used leftover carpet because the measurement hadn't been done properly. Since Deskelly themselves took the measurements, I don't understand how this could happen, and I was left feeling like I had to accept poor standards for something I paid a premium for. In the end, the work was only completed after weeks of stress, delays, and unnecessary back-and-forth. For a company that presents itself as professional and charges above handyman prices, I honestly expected far better. Overall, while some staff tried to help (again, Colm was excellent), the overall process was exhausting, uncoordinated, and frustrating. I would strongly urge Deskelly to improve their communication, scheduling, and accountability so that future customers don't go through what I did. I left this experience frustrated and disappointed, and I genuinely cannot recommend them.
