They have a good stock of paint and so on plus decent deals now and then but their staff have little to no knowledge about the products they are selling and are unhelpful to say the least.
I tried to buy a table and here's how it went:
Me: "does that table come with a parasol?"
Staff member 1: "yes but that's the last one and we've none for that one"
Staff member 2 in background: "we've none left! We are waiting for them to come in!"
Me: "can I order it in? Or does any other branch have it?"
SM1 checking computer: "Lucan have 12 and glasnevin have 7 but sometimes the computer is wrong"
SM2: "glasnevin have none"
Me: "can I just order over the phone from Lucan?"
SM1: "no"
Me: "I live in blanch, how much would delivery be?"
SM1: "standard delivery"
Me: "...."
SM2: "you should order online"
Me: "well I would but it's not there"
SM1: "it might be the last day of the offer."
Me: "is it?"
SM1: "I don't know"
Finally I got the phone numbers for Lucan and Glasnevin and called them myself, SM1 or 2 didn't offer to do it...
THEN I get to Lucan and even though they told me over the phone they had it, THEY DONT!!!! But they can order it for me for the same price? Why couldn't blanch do that???
Not all of this is the fault of the staff, clearly the woodies system is in the dark ages but collectively the company should maybe get their act together and provide some decent customer service. read more
