Do not recommend purchasing gift cards from here. I was gifted one for Christmas and I still haven't redeemed it. First please know they will charge whomever you gift the card to a deposit that they must pay when they schedule their appointment. They will redeem but why should someone have to pay a deposit to use a gift? (It is half of what the services cost) I scheduled an appointment for my daughter and I to use our gift cards and they ended up canceling because the day of the appointment it snowed for 45 min in El Paso so they shut down for the day. An appointment I had to leave a $250 deposit for. Have I been offered anything in return for the inconvenience to include maybe an appointment without a deposit this time since I had to wait to get reimburse last time for an appointment they cancelled. I had the opportunity to spend my morning getting pampered at Woodhouse Spa the other day. Upon checking in, I was warmly greeted and escorted to the changing area. I received a locker that contained a robe and sandals, which I used in exchange for my personal items for safekeeping. Next, I headed to the relaxation room, which was dimly lit and had a soothing ambiance. In this room, there was a beverage station offering water, teas, and snacks, including my favorite--chocolate-covered almonds and trail mix. After spending some time there, I was called in for my first service: a holistic manicure. Amber was my technician, and she was both wonderful and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed the manicure experience, and my nails looked fantastic. After the manicure, I returned to the relaxation room to wait for my massage. I have no words to express how great the massage was. My therapist walked me to the treatment room and gave me the privacy to get settled on the massage table. Climbing into the warm bed--complete with a heated blanket--felt amazing. Before I knew it, my hour was up. The experience was so incredible that it definitely left me wanting another session. Hell of a spa place!!! So to already set the record straight, yes it is very expensive. However, if you are looking for an alternative option from a whole trip getaway to relax, this is the best option. Even with their gel manicures and facials, you will get nothing but the royal treatment down to the appropriate sized sandals and robes! They are luxurious ones at that. The ambiance is beyond relaxing and also luxurious. You literally feel like you get the VIP treatment. Although I have been obsessed with their deep body massages to help me relax along with their complimentary snacks, wine, and water, the real winner here is their pedicure treatment! Not only do you get to have the same price of a gel pedicure as other places, but you also get sterilized packs of pedicure tools and have ZERO callus by the end of your treatment! I cannot stress how significant that is for callus removal! Amber was a wonderful pedicure technician! On weekends, they offer complimentary mimosas which is absolutely divine! Okay my first experience with Woodhouse was in Buffalo, NY. Amazing!! So I decided to try this one. You walk in and are welcomed and promptly taken back to your own locker (you set the code) a robe and slippers. Then go to the relaxation quiet room where there were mimosas, hot teas, infused water, snacks, blankets and a variety of seating with beautiful decor and a glowing fireplace setting. I received a holistic manicure, gel pedicure with removal, a sports massage with a CBD enhancer. My manicure/pedicure: Elia, first of all is so kind and inviting, she does a great job but it goes beyond that. She is personable, she gets you to open up and there is something about her that just makes you feel and look like a hundred bucks. Elia, I won't forget your kind words and the great job you did. GBY. You've gotta see these feet!!! They look sooooo good!! My massage: Lizbeth.. okay my first impression: she's sweet, kind and calm and being petite does not appear to be able to really give a deep tissue massage. Don't let her fool you..After having dozens of massages in the past, she hits you with the BEST, and I mean the BEST, massage you've EVER had.. in your life. Sports massage is the way to go. I love deep tissue massage. But this was a mix of that with stretching, she found all of my knots and sore spots without me pointing them out, without hurting me. I must begin with a few facts. I am a disabled person requiring a mobility scooter who is also overweight. As such, I felt an unpreparedness on the part of Woodhouse. This unpreparedness led to me feeling unwelcome into this establishment. My son blessed me with a massage and facial for my birthday. My appointment was for 5 pm and arrived at that time. I completed the paperwork. Then was led to my room. However, all the furniture placed in the narrow hallway had to be moved. Talk about embarrassing. then, the narrow view of the masseuse wanted me to squeeze my scooter into this small room. I recommended another space, but why would they try to hide my scooter? I felt embarrassed. So now about the experience... El Paso is a very warm place in the summer. it was 100 degrees plus. I'm there for a massage. The room is hot which I mentioned. However, I was sharply told that was the coolest it would be, but she could turn off the heat on the bed. What? You need to ask me? it's not winter where I'm looking to snuggle and stay warm.. it's 100 degrees. And while I give major credit for having a robe that fit albeit a male robe, when I'm sweating inside this small room, it's the last thing I want to put on. It's like putting on a parka in the middle of summer. It's just not pleasant. Also climbing onto the table was difficult. There was no step with a handrail or even a step stool. They are NOT ready to help disabled. But then it's only for the young and beautiful. Then because I got there at my appointment time and because there was so many adjustments that had to be made, I only received 20-25 minutes massage time and was charged $175. Talk about pretentious and overpriced!!! Oh and let's not forget the commercials by the masseuse that she is a life coach. Are you kidding? I was very upset. Fortunately, the facial was far more pleasant. And yet still I believe it was totally overpriced at $185. I was given treatment that lasted 55 minutes. And my skin looked restored. Still, I would have liked to see myself in a mirror which was not offered to me. I had to look in the car mirror. And again I was offered this parka to put on on this heat. Seasons change and perhaps your approach to treatments and ambiance making it lighter, fresher and soothing relief from the heat might be a better approach. Today I had the most amazing pedicure. My therapist Elia was like my new best friend. I came in very last minute and she easily accommodated me. It felt as if I'd been scheduled for weeks. They offered me a glass of champagne and snacks and some time in the relaxation room. The pedicure chair, what is heavenly and Elia took the time to go over different polish options and explain every process she was doing. I cannot recommend Woodhouse any higher. Literally customer service at this location is nothing compared to what I've experienced. I just want to warn people of the prices that aren't in line with their crowded relaxation room and the straight out of school techs. No way! Please know - I'm not a "pamper myself", "going to the day spa" type of person. So, take my review with a grain of salt please - thanks! This place is expensiiiiiiive. I paid $155 for a facial. Yes, I even cringe writing that. I paid for some girl to rub my face, put on chemicals, and then tell me I need to come back in 1 month because my skin was rough before she started. No no no... My skin felt the exact same way before and after the facial. If I'm going to pay $155 for a facial, I want my skin to feel like silk lol it did not feel like silk. With that said, if I were to come back to treat myself I will skip the facial. I will, however, be open to more body treatments. I paid for the Lazy Day Renewal and did actually feel a difference in my skin. I also felt soooo relaxed. I almost fell asleep in the relaxation room after my treatment. Very very soothing. I debated on giving this place 3 stars vs 4, but it really is a great experience. If you're the type of person that enjoys pampering yourself and don't mind splurging that much money then this is for you. Things I noticed that I wasn't a fan of: - Limited space in the relaxation room. This did not effect me because I went at a good time and got a seat. However, at one point, every chair was taken and some people were left standing. I would have been upset if I were one of the people left standing especially for the amount of money I'm spending. - The smells. The Lazy Day Renewal is a seaweed treatment. The description talks about some citrus oils. I didn't smell any citrus. I felt like I smelled like an expired sushi roll when I was finished lol pretty fishy - Shower: there is 1 shower available so there is a bit of a line if you plan on using it. This is definitely not a place to go if you're in a rush or have plans immediately after. Again, I was a first timer. All in all, the service was excellent! I did feel pretty zen. I'm extremely appalled at the service my boyfriend and I received this afternoon by the employees of "The Woodhouse day spa". I scheduled a 50 minute couple massage at 4:00 today. We arrive at about 3:55. We are prompted to fill out paperwork, although we have filled out all of these forms previously. We quickly finish, the receptionist escorts us to the locker rooms and we then proceed to the "relaxation room". In the room sat another couple approximately 4 feet away from us, close enough for them to hear anything said. The therapists assigned to us were Ana and Cassandra. Cassandra approaches my boyfriend in the relaxation room and immediately asks him "do you consume marijuana? The lady at the front desk said that you smell and look like you do". My boyfriend asks "what is the issue?". She said, "we do not allow our guests to consume drugs or alcohol prior to receiving a service. You would jeopardize my license so I will not be able to preform the service on you today, you may become too relaxed you know? You can reschedule." I then ask Cassandra "what is the issue? I'm having a hard time understanding?" She says "this is Texas not New Mexico, we do things differently here". And continued to reiterate everything said to my boyfriend. Never once was he asked when the last time he had consumed marijuana was, zero compassion or care was given. At that point I was in complete disbelief that this is what was being said to us in the middle of the relaxation room (next to other guests, that clearly heard every single word exchanged) at a spa we once loved. It is disgusting that this is a "health and wellness provider" and this is the outlook of the staff. Zero patient privacy, our PHI was violated. Although medical marijuana is not federally legal in all 50 states, any medical marijuana patient is federally protected by HIPAA. I would consult with your corporate office to insure this is something that is not being violated with your guests prior to making assumptions or refusing services. We first came to this place in June 2022 and have visited 3 times previously, today was no different than the other 3 times we have visited, we did nothing differently but got a completely different outcome. The owner of this specific location has a published article in the "The City El Paso Magazine" about this specific spa location stating: "In an effort to promote health and wellness in the community of El Paso, The Woodhouse Day Spa has introduced Seasonal Wellness CBD Services. Owner Sylvia Apodaca believes in a holistic approach to the healing treatments offered to guests. "Although there is some controversy with CBD, there are a lot of benefits in what it can do for the body," Sylvia says." As well as: "One line they carry is the Hi-Bio Hemp CBD--while it is a great introduction to what CBD can do, the products are full spectrum. This means they're keeping all of the best components of the hemp plant, which allows for more range in product--however, they are extracting up to the legal limit of .03% THC. The other line that is carried is Belle Âme; it is locally owned and is a lab-tested, pure CBD isolate with no traces of THC. As a topical oil, it is made with Jojoba oil, exclusively for Woodhouse and comes in a variety of milligrams and is best used medicinally for holistic healing and spot treating for pain management." Absolutely absurd that they will rub THC on your body. Serve you wine before and after your service. Yet, they push you away if they believe you participated in these activities outside of their spa. Pretty contradicting to me. It is safe to say I will never return to this location. They still had the audacity to charge the cancelation fee after kicking us out, violating our PHI and blatantly showing us that they really do not care about your health and wellness or "holistic healing". read more

Upon arriving to the stablishment they were not greeted, once they completed their documentation both receptionists were laughing while reading their documents, which made my parents very uncomfortable. They have a blunt and rude attitude, if they asked a question they would answer with a bad attitude. I am not sure if they are going through something but I mean they are working in the front office of a spa, they should be more tactful and polite or at least PRETEND. There are jobs where there is no need to interact with people. Best massage experience I have had ever! I LOVE massages, and as a student studying medicine, I ensured I always rewarded myself with massages after hard exams. Thus, I have visited several massage parlors and by far this is the best massage and spa experience I have ever had. My husband and I had the couples massage, facial, manicure and pedicure all in one day. Upon arrival we were led to our lockers where we changed into robes. We started with a massage, which was soo relaxing. The massage was just perfect, not too hard or too light but the pressure was perfect. We then proceeded to have a facial, which was so relaxing. During my facial, I was also given a head and neck massage which was oh so relaxing. My husband fell asleep during his facial and was snoring! We finished off the day by getting a pedicure and manicure. During your wait in between services, you wait in their waiting room which is just as relaxing as everything else! The music, lighting and ambience is so comfortable and relaxing with really comfy couches. They offer you beverages of your choice including wine, teas and water. I have ordered furniture for my remodel from other countries that have come in already. I would go in about every month to check if the robes were in. No one seemed to know what I was talking about. When I finally called this week, they said they were in but never had a way to get a hold of me. Now they don't have a record of my payment because of "switching systems." I have been traveling to El Paso for 15 years happily enjoying the people and wonderful Mexican food while on business...but as a busy traveling saleswoman, always seemed to be lacking a destination to round out a busy travel day or to just squeeze in a mani pedi while on the go. I am happy to report to new and old comers that during the last 5 years, this quaint, friendly town has undoubtedly experienced quite a transformation from being a transient/in and out spot to a 'happen'n' place. Just check out The Fountains at Farah--What?! Is this really El Paso!? But more significantly: The Woodhouse Day Spa is cherry on top to this transformative area --at least it is for this stressed/over-travelled sales gal. Never in my 15 years did I anticipate a chic-4800 hundred square foot-70 service options-day spa in El Paso, Texas...but alas that is The Woodhouse. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and serviceable. The facilities are new and pristine/very clean---but just as important to this picky visually inclined spa-ddict is the decor--it is a great combination of old and new with soft gray walls, white trim, neutral furniture/sheets/bedding that have a more traditional feel--just enough to keep the space from feeling clinical. Although I only had time for a massage this time around, I hope to enjoy their hydra-facial services next time I'm in town and hope that by the end of the year I can experience a body treatment--possibly the Vicky shower...oh-yes, hope to snag one of their awesome robes and foot scrubs! Was visiting from out of town and really looking forward to a nice spa day with my fiancé. The relaxation room was nice. They don't have a nice changing area though. They gave me a locker that the main door kept opening and everyone in the hallway could see you. The showers in both men's and woman's locker room are still shut down for covid. My fiancé was supposed to get a deep tissue and me a Swedish with medium pressure. We compared notes after and both got a light massage that didn't focus on areas we asked. I felt like the masseuse stopped so many times to get lotion that it cut into the 50 minute massage. It seems really overpriced for not a true professional massage. I've been to many spas and unfortunately was underwhelmed, outside of the nice relaxation room and snacks/drinks they provide. read more

My husband and I went to Woodhouse for a couples' massage while visiting El Paso. Our massage therapists were Ana and Wendy, and they were *excellent*! They were both very attentive to our pressure preferences, areas of particular concern, etc. I wish that we lived closer and could continue to get massages from them! Although the most important aspect of the experience was the incredibly high quality of the massages, we were also impressed with the service in the spa overall. The robes were comfy, and there were lovely amenities in the quiet sitting area. It would be great if Woodhouse is eventually more expansive, with a steam room and sauna! My husband purchased a 50 minute hot stone massage for me for my birthday as we were moving to El Paso in September and he wanted me to have a special day since we'd just relocated across the globe from Hawaii and he knew I'd be feeling stressed in a new place. I am an Esthetician and Nail Technician & love to try new spas and was really looking forward to a luxury day in a brand new city. I booked my appointment online for 9/24 which was easy and efficient. My husband saw that the spa was running a Monday promotion that if you purchase a 50 minute massage, you'll get an extra 30 min free. He called the spa to request my upgrade as a surprise and even though the promotion was for the previous week, they were generous enough to honor the request which shows me that they truly care about quality of service and customer satisfaction. From the moment that I arrived at the spa until the moment that I left, everything was top notch. I was immediately greeted with a smile and given a tour of the spa which was breathtakingly beautiful. Woodhouse has all of the amenities from a lounge area with all of the necessities to get ready after your treatment to hot neck wraps and infused water or wine if you choose. They make you feel like you are their best client! I requested Melinda as my massage therapist as I had read reviews and she came highly recommended. She did a perfect job- one of the best massages I've ever received. She was kind, sweet and very professional. I would book with her again in a heartbeat! Had a great afternoon planned for me and three clients. One of my clients had never had a facial before. We were excited to enjoy the Woodhouse Spa. When we walked in the door, we were met by an angry, hostile front desk clerk who told us we were late (evidently you are supposed to arrive 30 minutes BEFORE your appointments. Who knew?), didn't do the paperwork and they couldn't do our services that day! Total buzz kill. We tried to talk to her and figure out solutions, but the angry woman wanted no part of that. Employees and guests came out to see what all the commotion was about. NOT a great first impression. Catherine, "Cat", came to our rescue. She was awesome, ushered angry clerk away and helped us find solutions. We did get services, some shorter, some different. All of the staff were super apologetic and other guests asked us what happened. Certainly not the spa experience I had hoped for. And in case you are wondering, we paid full price for all of our services, angry welcome included for free. The following week, I went to the Woodhouse Spa in PLANO. That experience was terrific and relaxing so I know it's not the Woodhouse brand. It's the El Paso location that is a miss. Pass on this one and look elsewhere for pampering. read more

I called the owner Sylvia and asked her to plan my day! I told her that after this holiday season, I was worked to the bone, ( I'm in the clothing business) and that I needed a " dream spa day!"... i started at 1 and left at 6:45 if this gives you an idea... I was handed a mimosa upon entering, had the most fabulous mood bath and foot & hand massage by Ana... scrubbed with wonderful detoxifying products ... let me just say that Ana was incredible! The most caring ( that's important!) person, with a wonderful touch! I was dreaming of rose petals in the bathtub... and they appeared! It makes a girl feel special, let me tell you! Then on to a long full body massage by Wendy.. she was awesome!! Next was a 30 min break where I was presented with a gorgeous charcuterie board and another cocktail , which the owner, the amazing Sylvia, beautifully put together for me herself! And... she actually got me the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries, which I was thrilled to share with the sweet girl having a pedicure next to me ( especially since she was pregnant and couldn't have a cocktail, lol) The pedi with Amber was fantastic... my feet feel like butter!!! And the girls up front couldn't be sweeter, often checking on me to be sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed... What an incredible experience I had , and right here in our beautiful El Paso! I mean, it couldn't have come close to as special , had it been in another city! I'm currently in the waiting room, arrived 15 minutes early like they asked. When I arrived I was offered water/tea, so I got water. Two other women have both come in and it seems that they've been seen before me, one woman was a return client, one was not. Two more women are currently in front of me signing in, and they both are offered tea/water/wine/champagne/mimosas....and now one of the women have been taken back to be seen....It is now 10:05, and haven't been checked in on or anything. Not sure why I have to be early if they're just going to be late....at 10:05 I got my first "you're Dessiray?" Of course I say yes. He says "we're just waiting for someone to set up the nail stuff" smh really?? So I'm finally seated at 10:12a just to find out I'm booked for a manicure...I have long nails that I get done elsewhere I was suppose to be booked for a massage...well come to find out they're one in the same. What they do is massage your hand/arm after the polish your nails but since I already have acrylics all they did was massage me. I booked a 50 minute massage. Again I was seated at 10:12....this woman was done EXACTLY at 10:50a that was NOT 50 minutes! As I'm standing there checking out one of the women that came AFTER me walks out....another one of the women that arrived AFTER me is literally just now checking out and it's 11a....I could not relax while getting my massage because I was in the same room as the women getting a mani/pedi so they talked about everything from tonsils being removed to working for the prison. Needless to say I will NOT be back! UPDATE: got in contact with the spa coordinator, told him about my less than stellar experience, and was comp'd a 50 minute Swedish massage redeemable for any time. Always a favorite wherever I go. The massage and facial was wonderful. Took my mother for her birthday and she too was impressed. They do everything at a level that is far above other similar places. I had a message, pedicure and facial books and so fat Ana the misuse is a godsend, making me feel comfortable in every way and helping my aches and pains in the most blissful way! I don't even know where to start.. I just left I am so satisfied with all the service I received today. I've never had a facial and was interested in perhaps microdermabrasion but after michelle at the front desk explained the differences and took her time for me to really understand the benefits and how the procedure works I decided to go with the hydra facial. Alex did my facial and he was AMAZING! Very informative explained everything to me as he did the facial. Answered all my questions and concerns since I had a million of them it being my first facial you can imagine. At the end of my appointment they did suggest products but they did not push any type of selling to me at all whatsoever which I am very satisfied with now a days it feels like most places will try to sell you products and push them on you that was not my experience here however. I wish I could write them 1 million stars I haven't been this satisfied with a service in a very long time. I plan to return and I plan to bring my husband along. I forgot to mention a few other favorite things:fabulous lighting very relaxing, and the music very relaxing. Amazing aromatherapy all over, beautiful selection of teas as well as a wine I had some cinnamon infused water which was fabulous and they also have snacks. Bad experience at the El Paso Woodhouse. My daughter gave me a $200 gift card on July 2021. I didn't use it then because the pandemic was still hovering over us. I decided to use it this week. The clerk would not take my card because she said it had expired. I explained the card did not have an expiration date on it to which she explained that they didn't have them before but now they do and for the ones that didn't have them, the company would expire them after 3 years. She then realized i was still within the three years and she called the manager who proceeded to research the card and told me the "funds" had already been used elsewhere and the card was no longer valid. I had the card in my possession the whole time, how could someone else have used it? Here's the kicker, they still charged me a wanted to cancellation fee!!! Indulge in serenity and a sense of calm. When you walk in there is so many trendy lotions and oils. I wanted to smell them all. I went to the back got a robe and comfy rubber slippers . I was went into the waiting room where they brought me a green tea that I ordered off their complimentary menu. I then got a hot lavender neck wrap thingy. And my massage hadn't even started. I already started to relax and unwind. Then I was led back to my massage room. Cleanliness is Godliness is what I kept thinking on my way back. I then got on the massage table and it was warm and heavenly. My massage start with hot towel wraps on my feet with a small massage while they were on. That was something I never experienced it was a great way to start the massage. Aromatherapy was part of the massage I got. It was nice touch. Suzy my massage therapist was super great and nice. She had a great technique. My only problem was I only did 50 minutes. It flew by. This is a great gift or a great way to overindulge!!! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE ever! Pedicure didn't start until 15 mins passed my appointment time. The girl SPED through the "50min" pedi, it only lasted maybe 30 minutes. No base coat under my polish. She left lotion on my feet and asked me to walk down a hallway in flip flops.. I could not even take one step. I'm 39 weeks pregnant and this put me and my baby in serious danger. She made me climb over a dirty and wet foot stool to get out of the chair. What massage?? That didn't exist. I sat in the relaxation room because I COULDN'T WALK ANYWHERE and bawled my eyes out because my husband was gone at the time and this was supposed to be a sweet gift for my first Mother's Day, and they completely ruined it. I wasn't going to post a review but honestly this was the worse experience I've ever had in a spa atmosphere. I work in the service industry, doing hair and I take care of others all day everyday and the time I spent in woodhouse confirmed that They just doesn't have the highest of standards when it comes to this industry. Really enjoyed my experience here. Very friendly, informative staff. I loved their products upon entering, they have yummy smelling lotions. My first visit was a swedish massage with Brenda. We were offered beverages while we wait. Loved their seating area, and the earl grey tea was great. Brenda took her time, focused on my pain spots, the whole experience was amazing. I felt so relaxed. I wish they'd use more aromatherapy in the room, and in their oils, but it has to be added on. They also sell CBD oils, that can also be added into your massage. Really want to try that next. They also offer 20% off to first responders! Overall, will definitely be back. read more

Never got my massage! I booked my appt online for a shoulder neck massage. On the notes I mentioned I was 6 weeks pregnant. I received a call from the spa saying because I was pregnant that I had to have the prenatal massage. Ok cool. I didn't see that option so I was switched. No prob. I go in for my appt, check in, get changed and wait for my therapist. She escorts me to a room. Explains how I need to lay. Then she asks how far along I am. "Six weeks" I say. "Oh. I'm pretty sure you have to be in your second trimester". What?! She goes to check. After several minutes another woman comes in and explains due to safety reasons they can't perform my massage. I ask why wasn't that explained to me when they called yesterday. She's begins to give me some bs about a case by case which really made no sense. You were never gonna give me the massage!! Don't get me wrong. I appreciate their precaution but why was my time wasted coming up there. Then you are not even gonna own up to it?!? On my way out the door the front desk lady did finally admit that I should have never been scheduled. Thank you!! Why was that so hard?! I would not have been near as upset if they had just admitted that in the first place. Th facilities were nice but I do prefer separate waiting areas for men and women. read more
