The only good thing about Woodgate Apartments is SOME of the residents
Employee's relative - Enfield, CT
I do not personally work at Woodgate Apartments but my loved one does. I hear my loved one complain day in and day out about the lack of support from management who ultimately is trying to terminate them. Over the years of my loved one working there, I have heard at least 3 people being fired. All of the maintenance employees have been fired. The management is very racist and bias. Management (MCR Properties) is very selective and chooses sides when it comes to employees and managers. The company as a whole is corrupt. The home office (human resources) down in Hamden, CT tag team and go against the employees. They are vindictive and condescending. The management likes to write up employees alot, as well. The employee's are treated like kindergartners. There is one employee who has been a temporary worker for nearly 6-7 years. Woodgate apartments has a weird and shady way of operating. The new manager at the property has only been there for 7 months and already have caused confusion, chaos and havoc. The manager was transferred from another location where they were only a leasing consultant and they somehow managed to land the manager position before my relative who has been with the company for 10 years. The new manager was only working for the company at the previous location for about 5 years. If you ask me, that doesn't make any sense. Why wouldn't the person who has been there longer who has more experience get the manager position? Is it because the other person is a person of color? Um yes, I believe so. The human resources team has actually sat around and made fun of my relative behind and in front of their face. There has been problems on the job for my relative since day one. My relative replaced an employee and my relative was working as a temporary employee, in the beginning. The manager (who was ultimately asked to resign due to shady behavior/activity) at the time had a better relationship with the former employee and didn't like my relative. The bottom line is, Woodgate Apartments is a horrible place to work and an even worse place to live. The residents go days without hot water, work orders are done half butt and forget it when it rains, the basements flood. There are some residents who hoard other humans in their apartments and animals who are not on the lease. Some people sneak or lie about how many animals they have. Some people lie about how many people live in the apartment with them. Woodgate allows people to have over $4,000 worth of back rent owed. The residents can be very nice others are allowed to cuss out the employee's and make trouble. My relative has a good rapport with 96% of the residents but others have talked down to my relative and gotten away with it. In conclusion, working for Woodgate Apartments is and was a horrible decision anyone could make. BTW I ONLY gave 1 star reviews because I couldn't leave zero stars.
