They do offer daily specials, and their burgers are one of them. The only problem is they upsell for everything that is added, so I'm not sure it's really a deal. At least offer the basics, lettuce, and maybe tomato and onion. I'll also recommend the potato salad. The loaded totchos are hands down my favorite! My grown kids like the Mac n cheese with bacon and tots and chicken strips, both of which are add-on options. You can dine in or take to go. We've also enjoyed brunch, and that didn't disappoint either. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. There are a couple of pool tables, dart boards, and some gaming in the front and some space out back to hang out. I would highly recommend a visit for a burger.

We had our menus filled out by the time he came and took our drink orders. We ordered fairly simple drinks, but he kept asking me and my friend to repeat our drink order. When I repeated "casamigos reposado", he rolled his eyes at me and said "obviously". He was clearly annoyed he had to serve us, and only after we finished our food did he ask if we wanted refills. I've never had such terrible service at The Garage and I would not stay if I walked in and he was behind the bar. I know this isn't the norm for The Garage, but it's disappointing that they employ childish bartenders.

The boyf and I stumbled across The Port of Kenosha Beverage House two weeks ago, driving home a different way than we usually would go so that we could potentially stop at the 22nd Ave Dairy Queen. Heading westward on 50th St, the red neon sign that read "The Port" on the front of a house caught both of our eyes for the first time. We vowed to check out this bit of potential awesomeness before I returned to Atlanta and finally did so tonight. And yes, it is as awesome as the red sign intimates. No, The Port doesn't have a kitchen. And no, it doesn't take plastic, so plan ahead or use the ATM inside. But it does have the fabulous, laid-back dive bar vibe, tons of places to sit and hallways to meander, and the best-stocked jukebox I've seen in a long time (Nine Inch Nails, Beck, Prince, Bowie, Dwight Yoakam, the Go-Go's = yes, please). And it's clean, aesthetically pleasing (check out the wood detailing on the covered and screened back patio), and warm and fuzzy (case in point, the optimism painted on the walls of the ladies' rest room). And, duh, it has good drinks, too, from cans of Busch to summer ale on tap to summer mixed dranks (I can personally vouch that their $5 pints of Blue Hawaiians and Hurricanes are delicious, strong, and colorful). "If my [dude] friends came to visit me in Kenosha, this is definitely the place I'd take them," reports the boyf. Living far away from Wisconsin, they are unlikely to do so anytime in the near future, but I know that I'll definitely be pulling for return visits whenever I'm in the 'nosh.

We got a table right at the main entrance and we were served promptly and pleasantly. I got help with ordering, which can be common for first timers, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. They have a nice tap list so getting a cold, refreshing beer was a must! My one critique if you will, the fries were limp.. not soggy but definitely not crispy. I didn't even bother finishing them, but the burger was filling enough that it didn't matter much. If I am in the area, I would stop here again and try a different burger, because they all looked so dang good!!

The soup was delicious being rich in cheesy flavor with cheese strings and bacon bits on top. It was a full bodied flavor soup and with the bread I could have made a meal of just this. After finishing the soup, the burger and fries appeared. It was a hearty and very good tasting burger on a quality bread bun. Also the fries were very good tasting with a good potato flavor. I couldn't finish it all but I wanted to. With a drink and tax it was about $28 before tip. I'm glad I had lunch here.

There's the usual kinds of liquors. For sure not the best prices one can get. It's about $6 for Tater Tots. Basic as it can get. There's also greasy items like hamburgers, wings, and stuff. For sure it can be a good time here. It's about as expected for a local bar that's been here a long time. The slots are about the only thing that's changed in the last few years or whatever.
