First time here in 4 years. Wow this place is so damn amazing from what I remembered. We sampled 3 wines for free. Tried 2 reds and a white wine. They were all extremely good. I loved the 1896. He said it's a Noiret with blackberry mixed. He said he doesn't age it in the barrel. The wine maker said he gets his grapes from north east, New York and California. 1896 smells amazing and has a great bite to it. We enjoyed a glass of wine and purchased some wine to go home. Great place the ow we is so nice and helpful. They are down to earth here and have food available to order as well.

Ummm this place is beautiful! Long story short, I accidentally bought a Groupon for a Bruschetta plate at Wooden Door Winery not realizing that it is over an hour drive from home. My boyfriend and I were bored Saturday evening, so we decided to take the hike out. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed with the exterior architecture! Wooden Door Winery is an old church, which can definitely be confirmed when you walk in and see the layout, the original alter, etc. They have blended enough of the church's original architecture with some of their own style and in turn they have a beautiful place. As for the wine, you were only allowed 3 free samples, so my boyfriend and I each chose 3 different ones and shared. We ending up choosing a sweeter wine because honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of their dry selection. We ended up choosing comfy chairs on the alter to share our bottle as we waited for our bruschetta plate. I have to say that I had higher expectations for the bruschetta plate. What we received was more like a not quite toasted piece of French bread, topped with a few large chunks of tomatoes and onions, and then covered in mozzarella cheese. This appetizer was served on a large, square, paper plate. I definitely would not order the bruschetta plate again, but the environment makes up for what they lack in appetizers. I also enjoyed the bottle of wine we chose! I would return if I was out in the area!

The owner behind the bar is an absolute delight. He is so kind and genuine and their wines are the best in the area. We had a bottle of Fredonia and Guilty pleasures and these 2 bottles will keep us as faithful patrons for years to come. Great spot to unwind and forget your troubles for a while.

    Warm, inviting spaces!

It sells a variety of dry and sweet wines (e.g., red, white, rose, sparkling, and cider), cocktails, mocktails, and beers. Some vineyards are on the grounds as are many barrels and bottles of wines. The restaurant has both indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating in lakeside cabanas and winter igloos. It is open for brunch/lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting for daily dining as well as special events such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, and private parties. Furthermore, the website lists activities such as bingo, painting and candle-making classes, live music with dancing, and more. For my husband and me, I made a reservation for lunch in an igloo. Our igloo was large enough to fit eight people and cost $50 plus foods and drinks. A larger "party dome" fits up to 14 people and has a fee of $75. The temperatures outside were very cold, but our igloo was kept warm by an electric fireplace and a zippered door. Throughout our meal, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. The Bistro menu listed shareables (e.g., pretzel sticks and charcuterie board), several smash burgers, several flatbreads, mains (e.g., fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and quinoa bowl), several salads, several handhelds (e.g., turkey melt, veggie wrap, and Italian panini), many sides, and a couple of desserts. Prices were moderate. (The menus for Sunday Brunch and a group Gathering differ.) The waitress first brought our Sweet Wine-Cookie Flight (4.5 stars), which consisted of the following pairs: Diamond Reo with Brown Sugar Pop Tart, Sweet Finley with Chocolate Salted Caramel, Riesling with Cookies and Cream, and Rose Cider with Strawberry Crunch. The wine glasses came in a wooden box, which was slightly too small, so I needed several minutes of time to carefully pull each wine glass out of the box. I, however, did enjoy the sweet flavors of the wines and cookies. Next our waitress brought out our shareable and two mains. The Hummus Plate (4.5 stars) consisted of fresh and tasty hummus, feta, olives, top seedz crackers, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, carrots, celery, and tzatziki. My main course was Crab Cakes (4 stars) with a substituted side of salad. Two crab cakes were a decent size of 4 ounces each, but I would have preferred more crab meat. I liked the garlic aioli. My husband's main course was the Cali Burger (4 stars) with a side of fries. In a brioche bun, a beef patty was topped with fontina cheese, applewood-smoked bacon (which he would prefer be crispier), avocado, avocado ranch, lettuce, and pickles (which he commented were nicely crunchy and sweet-sour) (no tomato at his request). The total price for the flight, shareable, two mains, and a soda was $98 plus sales tax and tip (plus the earlier $50 fee for the igloo).

Maybe not that big a deal, but a lot of the Pour Tour locations don't have their own parking so this' is a big plus. I love the atmosphere inside. Rustic, but with some modern flair. A bit dark, but also light enough to see what you need to see. There are a variety of seating options including standard tables, high tops and seating at the bar. I chose to sit at the bar since I was there on my own. My server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She shared information about the winery and some of the most popular wine and food items. After sampling several, I settled on a glass of the playhouse red blend and one of their specials - a grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The soup was creamy and delicious and the grilled cheese comfort food perfection. Food came out fairly quickly and my server was attentive to my needs without being pushy. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back, hopefully for one of their events or maybe a visit in their fun looking igloos.

Again when she asked to have it to go, they rolled their eyes and acted so put out. I won't be going here again!

And wow... absolutely delicious! We happily grabbed a bottle of their Cab Franc to enjoy with dinner and it paired perfectly with everything. We started with the ricotta toast: homemade ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and garlic oil. Absolutely delicious. I honestly never even knew homemade ricotta could taste THAT good! For dinner, I got the salmon special with a white wine sauce over a bed of chickpea ragù, and I seriously could not stop eating it. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was INSANE -- rich, fresh, creamy, and you could immediately tell the Alfredo sauce was homemade and made fresh to order... definitely not from a jar. Soooo good! One of the best parts was the chef personally making rounds to check on guests and get feedback. Every table seemed to have nothing but positive things to say. The crème de la crème is Omaggio. This full-bodied red wine is excellent. For our meal we enjoyed their complimentary bread and dipping sauce. This is very good but I do not recommend buying a bottle as it will do bad and it isn't overly special. I had the VEAL TORTELLONI; I would order this again. It was ground veal tortelloni, heirloom tomato, caramelized onion, spinach, and a creamy cacio e pepe sauce. Again, both my wife and I felt this meal was excellent. My wife had the CHICKEN & BURRATA ALLA VODKA. This was very good but the Veal Tortelloni was better. Service was excellent and they have a backup generator, which is nice as both times we have come severe weather hit us. Dessert was both Tiramisu and NUTELLA CREAM PIE.
