They worked it in at the end of a day, and took the tree down with expert precision, avoiding the house, power lines, and other trees. With something as risky as tree removal, it's worth hiring the pros, and their price was very affordable even compared to some of the less well-known groups out there. It's a bit of a wait to get on their schedule, but that's the nature of the business. Plan ahead and you won't be disappointed. My service was delayed a few weeks due to the snow storms, but I called a few weeks after and got on schedule no problem.

We scheduled the removal of 4 large trees that were too close to the house and dead/partially dead and the grinding of the stumps. The team arrived promptly the time I was told they would and after a brief chat w/ the crew chief/team leader (Ron), the team quickly got to work. They took great care in cutting down each tree to ensure no damage was down to the house. Throughout the process the communication and professionalism w/ Will and Johnny (via phone in their office), Matt (provided the estimate), and Ron and his entire crew was second to none. If you live in the Knoxville area and need any tree related work, you should not hesitate to contact Hancock Tree Service.

I never thought I would call an experience with a tree company a pleasure, but I can't think of any…read moreother way to describe working with certified arborist Alex and his crew. As a great lover of trees, I felt such anxiety about our project, but when Alex came to do our estimate he listened and settled my concerns. His knowledge and his obvious love for what he does came through from the beginning of the project to the end. His pricing was fair and transparent, and his communication and response times were excellent. As he walked the grounds with us, Alex explained our options and price ranges honestly and openly, never trying to "up sell" or pressure us and taking the time to make certain we were well-informed. Our experience with two other companies was not so pleasant, with one of them quoting us almost 3x what we paid Alex (and they would not grind stumps). On the day of the project his crew showed up on time, and when we asked about an additional tree that concerned us, Alex evaluated it on the spot and gave us a fair price for adding it to our existing plan. In all, Dogwood removed three trees (2 of them huge and towering over our house), trimmed the 80-year-old magnolia, and ground all the stumps and surface roots. One of the crew members even noticed a limb from a healthy tree that was close to our driveway and trimmed it as a courtesy. They cleaned everything up with blowers before packing up, and every crew member showed impressive professionalism and efficiency. Alex was there at the beginning and end to ensure that the project was done right and that we were satisfied. We will be loyal customers for as long as Dogwood Arboriculture is in business.
