What impressed us the most is that even after he knew she wouldn't be buying anything in Tucson since they don't ship to Chicago, he continued to service us with the utmost care. He determined after watching her try out different love seats, that her limited mobility would be better serviced with a lift chair. So he showed us various options, helping us choose the right one for her. He was so kind to our mother and really made our shopping experience a good one. She did end up getting that same lift chair in Chicago and loves it.

The store has broad selection of seasonal and year-round wares that are colorful and interesting. All the above said, I have two issues with the place. First, the seasonal products like Talavera and pottery are priced higher than other merchants by 20% and I think that may be due to their location and the amount of inventory--my best advice is to wait for a sale. Second is the lack of a public restroom which I find ridiculous--they advertise on social media so their audience is broad, after a two-hour trip being told you can use a restroom at Trader Joe's is ridiculously inconvenient. Would I recommend The Happy Saguaro? Yes and no, if you're in the area or enroute to other destinations, it's worth a stop. If you're looking for something in particular you have to have, call and it can be worth the drive but realize you may be paying for it.

Multiple folks I talked with told me they don't work with consignment and to call at some different time to try to connect with the right person. Called another time and was told someone would get back with me. Never did. Maybe the shopping experience is better than the selling.
