From the first phone call to the actual visit everyone is so kind and helpful. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly that worked with my schedule. Absolutely terrible experience. Not only was the nurse extremely rude and dry, I waited for over an hour to be with the doctor for 10 minutes. They did not inform me ahead of time what my insurance did and did not cover and ended up charging me $120 for an eye exam even though my copay was $20 and their reasoning is that I have astigmatism which I informed them of ahead of time and they still told me it would be a $20 co pay. This is sneaky and unacceptable. I purchased lenses and not frames and inquired on contacts with them. I swiped my card for the lens purchase that day and was called the next week and was told my insurance benefit was already used. Keep in mind I specifically asked them about this benefit since I was not purchasing frames and they informed me that I would still be able to utilize it for contacts. Now the next week comes and they claim that was miscommunication and they can't use the benefit for both when I specifically inquired on both with them. Keep in mind I already purchased the lenses so now I would have to pay out of pocket. They told me the week prior it would be $83 if I didn't use my insurance and now Anita is claiming for it to be $170. Another miscommunication. So I suggest before you go here, you read on your benefit and you know about it front and back because they will not be helpful at all with what your insurance covers. Now they claim they don't usually do refunds and the only way they can do that is via check So their miscommunication has now cost me hundreds of dollars which is really great. I came in here in a good mood and left extremely frustrated and now the next week even more frustrated nobody here is helpful. Everybody is in a rush and not friendly. Do not go here. Visited Woodard today because my lens had a small crack in them. Brooke was beyond helpful. I had just intended on replacing the lens but did not want to do without my glasses. Brooke looked up my insurance and I was able to get new frames and lens for a really good price. Everyone here is extremely helpful and friendly. I have been going here for 4 years now and It is by far the best optometry office around. Friendly staff, thorough exams, they don't dismiss any issues you bring up and honest. I recently contacted this business to order safety glasses for my husband. I had the frames and spoke to someone before I drove over to confirm that they could do this. When I walked in, your receptionist asked me several questions. With my mask on, she seemed unable to understand what I was saying. When I pulled it down so she could hear me better, she got VERY rude and pointed to me and said"I can hear you just fine... get your mask up". I had spent 10 minutes repeating things to her so clearly she COULDN'T hear me but regardless she did not have to be so rude. I told her my insurance information and she said that the safety glasses weren't covered. I had already explained that I would be self paying. She then pointed to the right and said "go stand over there and wait for someone" I will NEVER come to your business again and will make sure that word of mouth will let people know just how horrible that lady is. Dr. Reid Woodard is the best optometrist I have seen. He does a through exam and checks for all types of eye issues. I have been going to him for a very long time and thankful for the care he has given me. He has several of my family members from sisters to daughter-in-laws to grandsons. We all trust him.
