After contacting the office manager, she could not give me any explanation either after talking to the doctor as why this decision was made by her. I feel that this was due to declining Dr. Massey's suggestion that she see a psychiatrist, which neither my wife or I felt was necessary with the symptoms she was experiencing. It is the only explanation I can think of. So beware, do it her way or hit the highway. I also feel that it is very unprofessional of Dr. Massey not to provide a valid explanation or even speak to my wife prior to her making this decision. If you want to have some control over your own care, this is not the doctor you want to see.

My insurance wouldn't cover my existing inhaler and Dr. Ruddell would not do a pre-authorization. So she switched my inhaler. I had been on the new inhaler for over a year and it was working great, my Asthma was very well controlled. This year my insurance did the same thing with that inhaler so instead of signing a pre-authorization for me she switched my medication again. Not to mention she was upset with me b/c she filled my prescription May 2016 and it was now Feb 2017 and I this was my last refil even though she only wrote me a 6 month supply. She just automatically assumed that I wasn't taking my medication as ordered, forgetting that she had given me samples at the office in May and I also had a couple of my old inhalers left from doing them mail order before my insurance quit covering them. I asked the nurse if I could come by and get a sample of medicine until she could call me in something and was told they would call me back. I was without my Asthma medication for 2 days because all they were worried about was that 6 month appointment that I didn't make. Talk about MONEY HUNGRY!!! I have since cancelled my appointment and will be using my PCP to get my Asthma medication from now on. I am very disappointed in how I was treated. It's not like I was asking for a narcotic or anything. I just needed my inhaler! If I could give a "0" instead of a "1" I would! If you need to go to an Asthma or Allergy Dr I would recommend Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinic.
