The buildings are good quality, but the outside finance company they use (HometowneRentals) is terrible. They marked up the cost of the building up by 80% and would NOT pro rate the loan to pay off early. This was not mentioned at all by the sales rep. History
Established in 1983.
In 1983, Barb and Sanford Lapp moved from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to Himrod, New York, to begin a new life and build a new company. He had a vision to build a company that would provide for his family and contribute to his community. And so Wood-Tex began as a small company that provided storage sheds for the surrounding counties.
"Under promise and over deliver," Kent Lapp's motto, is also a core and fundamental company belief. As the CEO of Wood-Tex Products, he's proud to carry on his father's vision, saying the two most important business principals he learned from his father were "the value of hard work and how to take calculated risks."
Kent believes Wood-Tex has the best culture in their industry. "Out of that comes great customer satisfaction, an energized and positive team, and a good atmosphere," he explains. Just like his father would have wanted.
