My experience with Rittenhouse Dentists in Bala has been outstanding. I originally stopped in as…read morethey were in my office building and offered an easy location for obtaining Invisalign. The office and staff are very welcoming. I was not looking forward to the deep teeth/gum cleaning that was recommended prior to arranging for the Invisalign but Dr. Steffey and her crew were so accommodating making the process as painless -enjoyable as possible. It was also helpful to me that they thoroughly explained the process, timeframe, and cost from the beginning. I appreciated the honestly and professionalism In addition, the communication and reminder messages from this practice are excellent! I will definitely be back and highly recommend!!

I called on Dec 24th, on the emergency line, given proximity to Christmas and the fact that I was now in absolutely excruciating pain. No one returned my call. Same, of course, on Christmas. Same on the 26th. I mean, of COURSE Christmas is important, and of course staff and dentists should have vacations! But this is why one has an answering service and an emergency line! I will never go back. They are always so very prompt in offering cosmetic dentistry to their Main Line Matrons, but the second you have a legitimate need? Crickets.

WARNING: Fragment stricken review!…read more -Opens at 6:30 - I was patient #12 when I arrived at 7:15 -They start calling people for "consultation" or whatever the "y r u here" questioning process is called by 7:30 -I was X-rayed and in a chair to begin my extraction by 10:15 -------------------------------------- 3 hours and didn't get my cracked back tooth pulled. Y? Because my gums were inflamed and I have to take antibiotics until next week so the numbing meds/shots can work and to ensure I don't get an infection (what I was told by the supervisor). I cried like noooooo bodies business when they attempted to pull it out and wanted them to finish so I didn't have to come back; VERY POOR DECISION on my part and the story stops there as I was told the process is not suppose to be painful and they will see me next week after I take the pills prescribed. --------------------------------------------------- The students are coached throughout the entire process and it's funny to see their attitudes when their redirected about something. It's hard to take criticism sometimes, so I get it! Be prepare for the orchestrated "chat" while walking to make your $95.00 payment (for the uninsured. Would clearly never come here with paid insurance) I will update once I go back for my appointment.

I came in for an emergency visit due to a severely damaged and painful tooth. It was split into…read morepieces and the pieces were dangling. I spent hours undergoing consultation and x-rays, only to be told at the end of that visit that the extraction could not be performed and that I would need to return the next morning. I agreed based on the pain and how much time was spent getting X-rays. It was several hours. When I returned, the experience worsened. Before the procedure, the student dentist made a comment implying that my pain level was questionable because my blood pressure was "too good for someone in pain." Like I was Bill Murray's cameo character in "Little Shop of Horrors" screaming, "Candy bar!" This was dismissive, especially given the visible condition of my broken tooth. During the extraction, I repeatedly stated that I was in significant pain and that "something did not feel right." I was ignored multiple times. When I said the pain was too intense, the student dentist told me it was because the area was infected and that "when it's infected, it's going to hurt, and there's nothing I can do about that." After the procedure, I realized that the side of my gum had been torn. I asked directly for antibiotics because I had been told there was an infection, and I was told "No, it will be fine." I also asked for pain medication due to the severity of the pain and was told "You can buy Tylenol on your own." No antibiotics or pain management were provided. Because I could not get an appointment with my primary care physician until April 7, waiting without treatment was not a safe option. Oral infections can worsen, leading to increased pain, swelling, or abscess. I had to go to urgent care to receive antibiotics and pain medication. A second opinion said my gum was "butchered." This experience raises serious concerns about patient care, pain management, and communication. Being dismissed during a procedure and denied treatment after an infection is unacceptable.

By far the best dentist I've ever been to!…read more Admittedly, I'm horrible with getting to the dentist and when I do finally go, it'll be another three years before I go back again. This could be because I have a very low tolerance for pain or for the mere fact that I'm uncomfortable with having other peoples hands in my mouth stretching my jaw apart. What I've come to find with some dentists are that they can be rough and really don't explain what needs to be done or why. It's almost like their main concern is to do the work and submit it to the insurance, regardless of quality or care. At least that's been my experience. Who knows? What I do know is that Dr. Toni Rust is an awesome dentist and truly cares about oral health. Her office is very flexible to my hectic schedule, they're very good with last minute appointments, Toni explains every detail about what she's doing and the reason why and her true agenda is getting your teeth looking great. I plan on being a long-term patient of Toni's dental practice and recommend her to anyone that's looking for a new dentist!
