Wonder Works - Wonder Works chair - Toy Stores Near Me - Mt Pleasant, South Carolina

All I can say is wow! I purchased a cup with my daughter's name while being stationed in South Carolina for work. It was a special cup for me and my daughter's favorite. Unfortunately after some time and a 1.5 year old toddler the cup broke. I looked everywhere and couldn't find the same cup with her name. As a last resort, I reached out to Wonder works and boy they are just wonderful! They sent me a new one. I will forever remember the kindness. This cup will continue to be even more special to us. Thank you! I highly recommend this store for the unique toys and just amazing humans that they are. I wish the store and the staff abundant success and blessings! read more

I've been going to Wonder Works (in it's other location) since I was a kid, and it's been fun watching other kids in my life enjoy this place the same way I did, and continue to do. This isn't just a toy store for children, though. There are plenty of items for adults, as well. As a person who worked with clients in a therapy context in the past, I found myself frequently purchasing (or receiving as gifts) many items that, in Charleston anyway, only Wonder Works sells, such as the Pinch Me dough and many different fidget toys. I love all of the product demonstrations so that you can truly experience an item before deciding to buy it for yourself or another person. The birthday boxes make shopping for other children a total breeze. I can, and do, spend at least an hour here almost every time I visit. Worth the stop if you're in Mt. Pleasant. read more

What a cool Toy store. We came in to buy our neighbors daughter a toy. One of the employees came over shortly after we walked in and asked if we needed help and what was it we were looking for. We told her we were looking for a gift for a 10 year old girl and she pointed us to the perfect items for the age group. She had tons on info on each item she recommended. They do have the standard type toys but they focus on the more interactive toys which require more thought and involvement. Something fun that also takes time to accomplish the craft or project. A toy that is fun but also challenges the child. We found 3 really unique toys and even better a couple of them were on sale. Another great feature is they offer free gift wrapping. They have a great selection, awesome customer service and good prices. They will definelty be my go to spot in the future. read more

So to be completely honest I have avoided this place, even though I've heard tones of good things about it from lots of other moms, especially ones who grow up in Mt Pleasant. I assumed it was just an over priced toy store, and though I am a fan of supporting small and local businesses I have 4 kiddos so I have to be picky where I choose to spend my $. That was my main reason for avoiding this place, but my daughter got a gift card for her birthday so we went to check it out. My tune has completely changed, I feel terrible I have been avoiding this place! If you have not been go! Go now! They have the coolest stuff and not just for little kids, they have an awesome selection of outdoor toys that you won't find at your big retailers, they had a amazing collection of funny socks, we have a sock thing in my family, I can't wait to load up! A great selection of Corkcicle water bottles and thermos and a bunch of other cool grown up gadgets. The prices really weren't higher plus they even gift wrap it for you while you wait! Another fun thing they do, if your kids birthday is coming up they can go in and make a wish box, so they fill up a bin with all the stuff they hope to get. Much more fun then just writing it down. I am definitely coming back and also may check out more places I didn't think were my thing. read more

Such a cute and fun toy store!! I really enjoyed visiting this store with my friend who is a native of Mt. Pleasant. I'm a therapist and primarily work with kids-- I bought a children's book on manners and lunch box notes (and some natural bug spray), but I certainly could've gone haywire with buying toys for my office. I'll definitely be back to visit when I'm in Mt. Pleasant again. read more

Best local toy store in Charleston. Always adding new and interesting choices for kids! I come here for every grandchild's birthday gifts!!!

We purchased two remote controlled cars for our grandchildren. One did not work and he was very upset. We brought both cars back and Dawn was even more upset. She opened both cars and replaced the bad one and kept apologizing for the bad car and made it right. She turned a bad thing into a very good thing. This store has always been about CUSTOMER SERVICE. During this entire process she never even asked for my receipt. GREAT GREAT STORE. read more

Without a doubt the best toy store in all of Charleston. We buy all of our props for our photo booths here and the staff is simply the best. You can't go wrong at Wonder Works! read more

Since they've moved to a bigger space it's much easier to look at all the merchandise. I only went to look but they had such great after Christmas sales I ended up purchasing several items. I also love how they have 20% off coupons that you can use on the most expensive item. Very friendly employees too. read more

Love this toy store! Welcoming environment and my daughter can spend over an hour just playing with everything. We always walk away with a bag of something new. read more

Been using this store for over 25yrs. The objective is the owner keeping up with the latest unusual toys new on the market! Employees are trained to assist you and show you how the toys work! Not a Big Box store where you get lost. They can advise you and show you what's best for child by age and activity! Used them to ship my grandkids presents. There favorite treat is to go to Wonderworks while here. Birthdays, kids pick out what they would like, they store them in containers for friends & family to purchase. Great idea. All kids love Wonderworks&Grammys! Good Customer service never out of style! read more
