After some BS about how expensive it is to clean pants, I was offered my money back, if I would take the review down. I said I didn't want my money back. I wanted them to do the right thing and asked how much they should have charged for pants. After some hemming and hawing, I was told $18 and but again told if I came by the store I would get $10 or my money back, if I took the review down. I again asked if prices would be posted but got no answer. As an aside, I checked with other dry cleaners in the neighborhood and the price for cleaning a pair of pants is below even $18.

I've known Ross for many years, and he always provided excellent service, not only to individual customers, but also to small businesses and movie productions. Unfortunately, after Ross sold the business, the new owner took over and the quality of service declined significantly. Many of the small businesses and productions that once relied on Life Dry Cleaners have since left because of the poor service. I run a business myself and used to rely on their services, but I no longer do and am now looking for another dry cleaner. The customer service is extremely poor, and in my experience, this location has become the worst of the worst. That's all changing right now though... Last week I attended a concert at MSG and the person sitting behind me spilled barbecue sauce all over my winter coat...I mean, it was everywhere. I understand accidents happen, but this one stung. I love my winter coat; I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it, and it wasn't cheap. I checked the label and saw it was dry-clean only, so I decided not to mess with any of the stains myself and bought it straight to Nu Trend the next morning. I kept my expectations low, and was mentally preparing to say goodbye to my coat - but lo and behold when I picked it up today it looked as good as new. They missed a small spot on the inner lining that I was able to get out with water, but besides that the stains were completely gone. I was shook, in a good way. That being said, I would definitely trust Nu Trend with not only my dry cleaning, but any sort of stain or specialty cleaning I need in the future. Thank you for saving my coat! =D
