They always overcharge you upfront before your office visit and then refuse to refund you even after receiving payment from your insurance company. They have kept over $150 of my money for over a year without ever refunding me. It wasn't until my wife went in for a visit later that they informed me that I had a credit. Wow. just wow. I went in for my yearly exam which I have to have for a couple of my medications , and was told that it would be $329 !! but whatever , that's just how it is. so I paid it. I went to the pharmacy and picked up my medication, wrongly, assuming that the provider would send over what they were supposed to send. Well guess what, I realized when I opened the medication that they had sent the wrong one. So I was out somewhere around $150. Then, there was another medication that went with it, and that was wrong as well. I was told that I could avoid losing the hundred and some dollars by just changing the dose of my medication and then going back to what I was on in three months. So it was a big mess trying to get them to send the right strength of medication to go with the right strength of the other medication. they told me I could just change my dosage for three months and then go back to what I was supposed to be on. , huh screwed up but just go ahead and change your big whoop. They said to call if I decided to stay on the dose I was supposed to be on. So I called the office and they say sure , we'll send the right one over. I go to pick it up and guess what: Once again they sent the wrong one. Luckily I double checked before I took anything home, so I just had to call the office once again. I don't think we can blame the front desk for this. I've worked at front desks , and they get blamed a lot of crap that isn't their fault. A lot of times, the providers send them over while you're standing there. I'm not 100 % sure, but I believe that that's what happened. I like my provider, and I get that people make mistakes, but good grief. You would think the second time around... THEN, to add insult to injury, I get a bill telling me that I still owe money because the visit was $123 more than what they told me at check-in. I guess they can just charge whatever they want, and you just deal with it. Well, I hope the grocery store doesn't call and decide they change their prices and I owe them money. I mean seriously? Also, what you would think would be part of a yearly exam and took all of two minutes was another 75 bucks. not a lab, not a test, part of a "well woman visit". Oh and yeah, I open my mail, religiously, and. It also turns out that I had an $83 balance that they never told me about. I would imagine anywhere else is going to be just as outrageously expensive because there is no more Health Dept. I love APRN Mrs. Nash! At the location I went to she made my actual IUD insertion feel like less than 5 minutes!! I had a horrible prior IUD insertion at planned parenthood but not with this provider! There was no bleeding or passing out. The woman who does sonograms was chatting with me before hand and it calmed me down. I would highly recommend as they made sure my IUD was in place via sonogram before letting me go. You can't understand how appreciative of Mrs. Nash's skills! They were very understanding towards the IUD process and even changed accommodated my busy schedule by moving things around. So upset ! I have been going here for ten plus years And had two children through them. I have had insurance that they didn't cover before and did self pay before. Now I have Medicaid and I can't schedule a gyno appt and I can't self pay!!!!! Oh and they don't send out reminders for yearly like they say they will because of out of network coverage !!! I will never ever ever come back. They lost a customer for live and I will make sure all my friends never come back either. So they want the big dollars for the ob appts but not the gyno appts. My first visit was great other than the provider coming in the room calling me the wrong patients name. My 2nd and 3rd visit were HORRIBLE.... when I arrived for my 2nd visit, I was told the computers were down all morning so I couldn't proceed with my birth control resert and consultation. My appointment was at 12:30. I informed them that if they knew the computers were down they should have called so I didn't waste my time coming in. I walked out. I was called 3 days later to make the appointment. Once the appointment was made I asked if I needed to do anything prior to my appointment and how much would I need to pay for my upcoming appointment. I was told there wasn't anything I needed to do nor did I need to pay anything since I've met my deductibles. I arrived for my (3rd) appointment, signed in to only be told I needed to pay $544. The young lady checking me in stated it looks like you shouldn't have to pay anything on my end, then asked the young lady next to her if she remembered last week when my chart started I didn't have to pay and she said yes she remember but not everything..I told them that this was ANOTHER wasted trip , so I walked out again. People plan appointments around their day and miss work, so it is very important to inform patients of any and everything the need to know prior to the appointment. Most of the staff are very pleasant but the communication sucks. I am not pleased at all. I asked to speak with a manager and was told she is out on pto. I asked if I could speak to whoever is in charge while she is out, and was told there isn't anyone but she will let the manager know on Monday and I will get a call. The service here is absolutely terrible. The staff are extremely unprofessional and have hung up on me multiple times after hours on hold. My doctor is also nearly impossible to contact and is very snarky and rude once I eventually get a hold of her. When transferring my birth control medication to a new pharmacist she ignored 10+ faxes over weeks of time before finally answering just before I ran out of my current supply. Overall my entire experience at this business had been nothing short of a nightmare and if I could I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

I had an abnormal test result and had to find a GYN for a consult - quick. Found this place and was told that the MD who had been recommended to me was booked solid, but I could see the only male there - Dr. Jones - in a few days. Ugh, but better than nothing. Walked in- people everywhere. But they run like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was incredibly nice, friendly and just plain human. Had to wait 10 minutes but the receptionist came to me after about 5 to tell me it would only be another 5 minutes or so (!) Had no idea what to expect from Dr. Jones but he reviewed my results, told me what tests I needed to do next, what they would show and the possible outcomes - all in a friendly, caring and simple way - making sure that I was tracking with it all. I hadn't known what to expect but he gave me every bit of info that I needed and wanted all in a way that was easy to understand. I was totally convinced that he knew his stuff backwards and forwards - it was very refreshing! By the end of it, I was wanting to hug him as I hate it when people are too overly simple and talk baby talk to you or needlessly complex but he simply ran down the facts. Women's care of Florida Brandon and Riverview office had some of the best staff members ever. 2 of my favorite have to be CeCe the triage nurse and Dr. Stephen Zweibach. They took awesome care of me during my very difficult high risk pregnancy. CeCe answered all my questions and was so patient with and very kind to me. She actually went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Zweibach is so amazing. He's understanding, caring, extremely knowledgeable medical wise and very easy to talk to. Don't bother. I scheduled an appointment and filled out all the forms online as requested by their emails. Showed up only to be told I had to come 30 minutes early and needed to reschedule. Their forms that repeated all of the online information took 10 minutes and I finished 2 minutes past my scheduled appointment only to be turned away. My review is based on a surgery I had in 2015. I developed other problems immediately afterward and discussed them at my 2 & 6 week check. Dr Llewellyn dismissed my problems. I actually had a painful & rare condition (under 500 people are documented as ever having it) that I was told to just live with as she said "I have that too." I ended up going to a doctor that took the time to do the research and I got the additional surgery I needed. I will never return or recommend. In addition, I have been to a lot of doctors and I've never been to a practice that requires you to sign away so many of your rights to be seen by them. Kinda scary. read more

I had no issues checking in, staff was super friendly. They brought me back for my appointment on time, I didn't have to wait forever in the waiting room like most offices. This office is so unethical. From the moment I called to make a new appointment they were unorganized. I clearly explained I was having some medical issues and needed to see a practitioner. I was scheduled with nurse practitioner, Jayma Holt. I explained to her 3 different problems I was having and that's the reason for my visit. Because I had not been seen at the practice before she decided to Ignore my medical problems and make me a new patient in her charting system charging my insurance company for a preventative care new patient exam. Not only did I continue with my medical issues without any help but I received a $500 bill from my insurance company me because I was not due for for a annual test. Beware that they are just after your money and they will not listen to the patients and do not want to help you. This nurse practitioner clearly saw the triage note of why I was in the office and she charged the insurance company without even listening to my problems. I would highly suggest not seeing any of the women's care of Florida gynecological clinics for any reason. Not to mention when I call to try to get help from the office managers, it fell on deaf ears because the note read what the practitioner wanted to put on it versus what I had going on. read more

I would not recommend this location. Had a pelvic ultrasound here. Sonographer was hiding behind the door when I came in, first thing she said was I didn't need to be wearing a face mask (clearly it's my choice, we are 3 years into this, none of her business why and if I choose to wear a mask). Put one glove on and went back outside to get paperwork. Never changed the glove, washed or sanitized her hands. Forgot to tell me I didn't have to remove my shoes. No protective cover on stirrups so I put my bare feet on dirty stirrups. Had the wrong patient pulled up on the computer (another Latin American name because we clearly all sound or look the same?) Was rude when I asked what the ideal timing for the ultrasound in relation to my menstrual cycle. Kept giving me snappy answers none of which actúally answered my question. Said I didn't need a full bladder for the exam which has not been the case for the last 10 pelvic ultrasounds I've had. Refused to leave the room for me to change because she didn't want to run late for her next patient. Didn't offer any tissues so I could clean myself after the procedure. Only giving it 2 stars because the receptionist was very nice and my referring doctor is amazing (I saw her at the PalmHarbor location). This location looks old and borderline dirty. I will not be getting any procedures here again. read more

Very unprofessional, unorganized, lack of bedside manner, and not worth a dime. With my first child, I didn't have a bad nor a great experience, but with this second baby, it has been terrible. I've waited 30+ almost every time in the waiting room, and even worse, over an hour sitting in the gown waiting for the doctor to come into the room while anxiously awaiting the check up. I suffered a miscarriage last year and this is probably the worst clinic to go to after going through something like that. Left feeling more anxious after each appointment instead of feeling any sense of relief. I've had a doctor tell me "next time we will hear the heartbeat" and then at that appt say it's way too early to listen even though with my son, they picked up the heartbeat on the doppler at 10 1/2 weeks without any issues. No reason why that needs to happen when hearing a heartbeat is the only real validation you have that the baby is doing fine. They will ask you to pay the entire balance of delivery far in advance which is absolutely crazy. Only in Florida! Oh, wait you mean you can't afford to pay $800 per month in medical expenses to us months in advance? Or remit payment in full for $4,000 after insurance? Well that is what we were asked to do, but thank goodness we decided to move out of state. I told them we were moving at my last 3 appointments when I checked in and out and to cancel the rest of the appointments I had made. Of course I still received automated messages confirming the appointments that were supposed to be cancelled. Filled out one medical record release form in person, made 4 phone calls and 2 emails just to get my medical records sent over to my new clinic out of state. Nobody follows through with anything, so I had to do their job for them. And still received a bill for thousands of dollars a month after I've moved asking for me to pay the full balance even though I've told them many times I moved away. This is such a terrible practice. I would not recommend this place to anybody! Keep scrolling and move on. Give your $ to a clinic who actually cares for their patients. read more

Either way, I figured I would give it a shot for my first appt regardless of the reviews. I am never one to leave reviews--truly never haha--but I had such an awful experience and felt the need to share. Because I was only 10 mins early, they wouldn't let me be seen. No one has any time or patience for you, you are nothing but a number and a statistic. Miscommunication is the name of the game. You will waste hours waiting and the entire time be unsure of the provider even knows you are present. Trying to get ahold of someone on the phone here is like trying to win the Nobel Peace Prize. I am appalled at the lack of bedside manner, organization, and care that exists in a facility that is literally health focused. Please spare yourself and do not step foot inside those walls. You will encounter the most superficial, rude, neglectful humans you have ever met in your life straight down to the smug faces that do not greet you when you walk through the door. If you want a positive experience during your pregnancy, do not chose Women's Care Florida! I cannot stress this enough. I have never been so strongly disappointed in my life. The only reason why I'm staying for literally 6 more business days, is to get blood test results for something they made me pre-pay a lot of money for even though I have great medical insurance coverage. Second pregnancy with this office - not sure why I came back after how bad it was the first time, but seriously... if you have a job or any commitments or a schedule of any kind, go to a different office because this one is disorganized and apologizes every single time because they're "running behind today". Yes, you typically have to wait (I try to get first a.m. appointments), but not unlike so many other medical offices. O NOT GO HERE. I gave this office 3 years/visits to get things right. I started going to the office off a recommendation from a friend who had delivered her two kids with the doctor. The doctor saw me twice and on the second visit told me he was retiring. When I saw the new doctor (who also is no longer at this office), she informed me that there was something in my chart that she didn't feel was accurate and confirmed with me that it wasn't. She said she would get it corrected. A year later, I requested my medical records and although she corrected it on her chart it was still on my records. Also, when I physically went in to request my records they said I could not wait to get the copy and I told them I wanted to pick them up (not mailed) and asked that they call me with when they would be available. I was told by the front office person they would call me. They did not. I called first thing in the morning the next day and they said it would 7-14days and then actually checked and said the records went out in the mail that morning. I told them to check to be sure that they had actually gone because I DID NOT want them sent. They luckily had not gone yet. In addition to their inability to chart correctly, provide accurate information, or do what they say they are going to do, I experienced an incredible amount of difficulty with them prescribing my birth control which I have never experienced over 2 decades of taking BC. I had problems every single time and the office was not friendly or helpful in any way every single time. My pharmacy actually knows me now and has had to contact the office on my behalf on multiple occasions because the office WOULD NOT HELP ME when I called. They are ridiculously incompetent and should not be open. PLEASE do not make the same mistake as me. read more

Dr. Kane is very nice and very thorough at this location. She really takes her time with her patients and answers any questions you may have. However, the wait time at this location was not as great. Wish I could give a 2.5 star rating. The location is convenient, the front office ladies are nice and the nurses are too. I really like dr Norton and Dr Pimentel. Dr Llewelyn barely looked up from her computer during the one time I met with her, making NO effort to make a connection. Dr Patel was ok but more rushed than dr norton and Pimentel. Wait time is horrendous!! I often wait an hour past my appointment time before I see the dr. I have started threatening to come late. I stopped showing up early. They have called a couple times to let me know the dr is running late or early and to change my appointment time, which I appreciate but then to still wait almost an hour is frustrating. I'm a little frustrated that it took them 3 months to decide to refer me to a PCP for a cough I could not get ride of. Each dr tried something new which wouldn't work, then I had to wait till the following months appointment to try something else. Finally the PCP came to conclusion of Pregnancy Induced Asthma. I'm 3.5 weeks out from my c section date and I can finally lay down and my cough is gradually decreasing and being more controlled. No thanks to the drs attempts though. Only dr norton offered one suggestion AND a backup plan. I hate that you have to see ALL the drs even for a schedule led c section. Why? See the section on dr Marks below. I don't know if I would recommend them... probably not due to wait time and dr marks. A shame Bc Dr Norton and Pimentel are very nice. I would have searched for another office but I was already close to my second trimester when I transferred to this office and finally saw the last of the 5 drs a month and a half before my due date. If you can AVOID DR MARKS. He is an asshole with NO manners bedside or otherwise. He is every reason I have ever had and every fear for not wanting to see a male dr. I saw him my first visit and he came bursting into the room as if I had kept him waiting... reality I had been waiting an hour to see him. His tone was accusatory and interrogating. He barely introduced himself and didn't shake my hand. Did not acknowledge the person I brought with me to my appointment. He had NOT read my file as a transferring patient, he admitted this. Then when I would mention something he would jump on my case about it. He used inappropriate language saying a reason I wanted to stay on my antidepressant was bullshit and told me to get off of all my meds and supplements cold turkey. This did not end well at home. Meds that my previous put of state Ob said were ok. I was told I had no choice but to have another c section. A shocker and disappointment Bc the out of state OB had supported the idea of trying for VBAC. I left that appointment calling him out in the hallway, telling him he barged in like a rhinoceros giving me no opportunity to tell my story and have a conversation. I was crying to the receptionist while I scheduled my next appointment with ANYONE ELSE but him. I filed a form of complaint but never heard back. And when I scheduled my csection last visit I was told one of the other drs assists my chosen dr... I told them anyone BUT dr marks. I want him nowhere near me. The nurses don't like him either. To end on a positive note. I am very comfortable and confident with my choice to use DR Pimentel to deliver my daughter via c section in 3.5 weeks. read more

This office has been fine as my OBGYN since I typically only have one appointment a year, but I just completed a pregnancy with them and it has been far more challenging. The majority of the doctors with the practice are good. I've had pleasant experiences with them all and had a great delivery with Dr Norton. Unfortunately the office staff is the opposite. The actual administration of the office seems completely mismanaged. Long wait times, billing errors, phone line mixups, being called 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to be told that they scheduled you with the wrong doctor and need to reschedule the following week, etc. Truly every appointment has had some administrative hiccup. I questioned if I should change practices multiple times throughout my pregnancy. Unfortunately even though the doctors were fine, the administrative stress and frustration would lead me to choose any other practice if I were to have another pregnancy in the future. read more

ABSURD lack of responsiveness and clear lack of give-a-shit about its patients. Pharmacy sends in FOUR requests over two WEEKS for an authorized refill, each of which go unanswered. Two phone calls inquiring why, and after an hour waiting on the phone for ANYONE to pick up, not only was no refill given, but now I'm told I have to come in for an appointment. Result - missed dosing of HRT, causing significant hormonal and emotional imbalances, and complete lack of confidence in this clearly poorly-run, unprofessional office. This office is ok from a medical standpoint. They do the usual but don't go above and beyond in any way. The reason I am giving them one star is because they place ZERO value on patients' time. The minimum amount of time I have waited in the exam room is 30 minutes and I have been coming here for years. I've waited upwards of an hour before finally just getting dressed and leaving. Needless to say no one bothered to call to see why I had left. No other doctor that I go too has such little respect for people's time. It's bad enough having to deal with it once a year at your annual exam but imagine the pain of dealing with it monthly while being pregnant?! I'm writing this review from an exam room where I've been sitting for 40 minutes. Guess it's my fault for not finding a new doctor sooner. Had I done so I'd probably have a whole day of my life back that's been spent sitting in their exam rooms. read more
