The point is the one skein fits in your luggage. Fadeninsel had local hand dyed yarn by a German woman. Absolutely gorgeous. The woman working there was in the process of knitting up a swatch scarf of a new yarn and I was obsessed with it and had to by that too! Then I saw the cashmere and you know what comes after feeling it....yep out came the credit card . The staff were friendly and very helpful. Definitely spent more than I planned to but extremely happy with my haul! They all spoke fluent English.

Only German brands and something from Paper Mania (which is already good) but no trace of brands such as Graphic 45, Prima Marketing, Tim Holtz, Marion Smith Design and so on.. Basically if you are into scrapbooking and altered art, it's way better and convenient to order online. On the bright side, they have a good selection of painting supply. Some of the people of the staff are friendly and competent. Some others just run away as soon as they understand that you're in need of help, but that's quite the standard here. Pity because this shop could be marvelous if only the buyer would be more active and updated to the latest trends.
