Okay, so Wollaton Hall, full of taxidermy-fied animals, is a little creepy...but Wollaton Park itself is simply lovely!
We saw two different types of deer (the red deer were huge, majestic and beautiful!) The lake was pretty, with plenty of geese, swans, ducks and even herons to watch/ feed. It was pretty enough in early spring before the leaves all turned green, so I imagine this park would be even better in sunnier weather!
Apparently there are five hundred acres of parkland, but as large sections are kept as a nature reserve, the walkways were not actually that long or strenuous. It's perfect for a sunday afternoon stroll. Ooor if you'd like to do something even less strenuous, on some Sundays they even run 'segway tours' around the grounds!!
