His demeanor is respectful and firm, while being very thorough in his work. The practice has two locations, both of which are easily accessible by Rt. 15 and have ample parking. The large waiting room and super clean exam rooms show that the doctor pays attention to patient comfort. He also has a good turn around time for patient appointments, test results, prescriptions, and scheduling procedures.

My grandmother thought there was no hope for her hemorrhoids and Dr. MacArthur offered a quick and easy solution that did not require surgery. Additionally, my grandmother was in her mid 90's when she saw Dr. MacArther and she often had doctors dismiss her because of her age and that was not at all the case with Dr. MacArthur she gave my grandmother hope that there were solutions to what was bothering her and did not dismiss the issues as just being age related. My grandmother often said she just wanted to give her a hug every time the appointment was over. My mother has metastatic breast cancer and Dr. MacArther has been amazing and gone above and beyond to help her keep an eye on things (including a colonoscopy) and manage her symptoms all with working with my mothers oncologist.

Agreed I should stay overnight for endoscopy, he spoke with Dresnick - I saw him speak to him and even confirmed with a phone call at the end of his shift that Dresnick would do the scope. I was instructed to not eat or drink in the ER all night, all morning. Dresnik sent his PA, Michelle, the next morning who was cold and rude to tell me he was not doing the scope, it wasn't an emergency. His PA said he didn't even know who I was. Complete lie!!!! Then she stepped out to speak to with a nurse about Botox and a new boyfriend. I chose my health over my job when I decided to stay overnight in the ER (cancel important meetings at work) just to have my time wasted by Dresnik and his schedule.

While it seems to be customary to wait for any doctor these days I actually like this doctor and staff so it makes the wait slightly less painful. Dr. Bloom is definitely one of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of seeing for my issues and I've met some real doozies. He made me feel comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared about. He has a good sense of humor which makes for a good bedside manner. Now keep in mind I haven't seen him in over 3 years and yet he knew me right away. However, this review…read moreis about ONE particular provider in the group, Vikram Rao, whom I had entrusted with my medical care since February 2020. Last week I discovered how unethical he is and I would not allow him to treat my dog! Do not become a patient of Vikram Rao. If you value your health and wellbeing, I suggest that you not become a patient of this doctor at Northeast Medical Group, 4A Devine St in North Haven Ct. I trusted him as my primary physician for almost 4 years now, only to recently discover that he does not document all of the medical visits or treatments that he provides. Last week I needed documented medical information from my records to take to a specialist, only to find out that he had not documented anything about my condition yet had been prescribing medication to me for this condition for well over a year. I am devastated, not knowing what to do about the information I need for the specialist. I now have to find a new PCP for treatment of this condition and begin this horrendous process all over again. What Vikram Rao did (I refuse to refer to him as a doctor) is unconscionable and he needs to be held accountable for his actions. I was advised to report this to the Department of Public Health Provider Licensing Investigation Unit and I fully intend to do so. Since he works for Northeast Medical Group, which is a part of Yale New Haven Health, I was also advised to make his superiors aware of this matter. He took an oath to "do no harm", yet that is exactly what he has done to me. There are reviews from other patients about his care on the Healthgrade website, I wish I had seen them sooner. I would never have entrusted my care to this person. The moral of my story is to check, verify, and recheck again. Ask for recommendations from people you trust and by all means verify that treatments being performed and prescribed medications to you from any doctor are documented in your medical records because trying to get a provider to own up to what they did not document can take months, during which time you do not have the information to take to another doctor for treatment. Be extremely cautious and watchful of your medical records. If something is missing or incorrect, it could be the difference between life and death, yours.
