So many limousine services were unresponsive, difficult to contact, etc. NOT Byers--from the get go Shelley was warm and professional, calling me right away to discuss details and make sure everything was timed correctly and how I wanted it. She was also in contact in the weeks leading up to the wedding, as was James, to make sure that I knew everything would be okay. On the day of, James was our driver. The limo was beautiful and clean, and he was awesome! He got everyone where they needed to be in more than enough time and impressed all of my bridesmaids with his awesome reversing skills :) We could not have asked for a better driver, or for a better limousine service. It's an illegal charge and will be reported to the Taxi commission. I'm going to report your criminal behavior. Also, my wife called, 15 minutes after calling the first time ordering a cab, and they had "no record" of her previous call. It was the same dispatch both times. The second time is when the surcharge was being proposed. As a Modern City Taxi driver I would never charge $25.00 to boost someones car that is taking a ride from me. I'd simply run the clock as legally allowed, for 0.25 cent wait per 25 seconds that the cab is boosting the car. If it takes two minutes, it's $1.00, not a random flat $25.00. I'd also inform my customer of these charges beforehand. Know why? because that's what I'm legally allowed to do. $25.00 is not legally allowed. It's no different than loading groceries or helping an elderly out to their door. It's called common curiosity. Amey's obviously doesn't know what that is. I'll be attending the meeting next month and raising this concern to the commission.

When they're good, they're great. I have to say that first. I've rode with them a bunch of times…read moreand things were great, the car was clean, the driver was friendly. Most of the time, the driver was even early. But, then there were a few bad times. Three to be exact. On three different occasions, they didn't show up at all, and I missed my doctor appointments. On two of the occasions, I was able to call once I realized they weren't coming and reschedule with my doctor, but when I called North Country Transportation to inquire about the ride, no one answered any of the times. I left voice mails on these days, including today, when they didn't show, and no one responded. I sent a text to the number, and on the days they didn't show up, no one responded. I waited and kept trying to contact them until there were only fifteen minutes to get to my appointment and then had to reschedule with my doctor and they still didn't show at all. They didn't even call me to say they weren't coming, and I have to believe after this happening a few times that they knew they weren't going to come. Because on most occasions when I had a ride set up with them, if I sent a text, someone replied pretty quickly. Or, if I left a voice mail, someone would text me back. But on all of the occasions where they didn't show, no one responded at all to either. The ride was set up to be one hour before the appointment. That's plenty of time, and it's pretty poor practice for a business to just not show up, and not respond to communications. It's not even like I was impolite or angry or anything when I left a message about it. I was polite and just inquiring whether someone was coming. No response. If you miss three doctor appointments in a year, a lot of doctors will stop seeing you, so I can't afford to take a chance on these guys anymore. I'm sure they don't care, but if they keep doing this to people, they probably won't be around for long.
