I reached out to Joseph and his team to remodel and reconstruct my kitchen after discovering that…read morethe open shelving in my new apartment was poorly installed. The open shelving and the cabinets were not reinforced into the walls, had started coming loose, and were at risk of falling down. Joseph and his team solved my problem by building proper load bearing walls, and on top of it, helped to redesign my kitchen and reconfigure my cabinets space. The team handled everything from design, demo, ordering, move out/in, and reconstruction very well. Their attention to detail was spot on and I felt comfortable fully putting this project in their hands. Now I get more utility out of my kitchen from the details that the team put in--no more wasted space in cabinet blind spots, hidden corner lazy susan--and it looks amazing.

I paid Yosef Tatik of Forward Construction & Remodeling LLC $32,575.00 for a kitchen and bathroom…read morerenovation. He took the money and did nothing -- no demolition, no construction, not even a permit filed (confirmed by our co-op management). Then he went silent. I told him my 83-year-old mother's health was declining, documented by her own physician, and that she couldn't safely be displaced for a renovation. I asked for our money back. He agreed on the spot -- then never paid. Months of silence forced me to hire an attorney just to get a response. Through counsel, he has already admitted, that he owes us this refund. My mother is 83 years old and sick, and this money is needed for her medical care. Yosef Tatik has known that since May. He has let a frail, elderly woman wait for months on a refund he has admitted owing her. He took our money, did not perform any work, and has shown no urgency or decency about giving it back. Do not trust this contractor with your money or your family!

Mike and his team executed the work professionally, responsibly and on time with an end product that we couldn't be happier with. Throughout the construction, Mike prioritized maintaining the schedule and worked with us through the construction issues that emerged. Most importantly, Mike provided his insight on the design issues demonstrating a sense of sincerity towards the project and ensuring good quality work. Mike was fair about the payment structure and the billing breakdowns provided made the payment process more translucent. If we had to be critical, there were a few days during the construction when no work was being performed, given this Mike still managed to deliver the completed project on or before agreed upon timing, we enjoyed Mike and his team's professionalism and we were satisfied with the end result.

Excellent contractor and very easy to work with!…read more Jose and his team are fantastic: as a new home owner with a fear of 1) not knowing what to do 2) not knowing anything in the home 3) being scammed - Jose and everyone at Halo Renovations were caring, trustworthy and most importantly dependable amazing contractors! -They did incredible work and always extremely communicative! -Great pricing on all the work they do. In addition, Jose has made sure to give his number to us to call whenever we needed for any emergency. Example: we saw some water leaking outside when someone came to use our garden hose. We didn't know what to do, so we called him and Jose walked us through what to do and came by the next morning to make sure everything was ok. -Always goes above and beyond! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to all of my friends and family for any work!
