clean place. Ok customer service. They are soo sloppy when serving your food...veryyy. The food is okay. Chowmein and broccoli beef lack flavor but orange chicken was a solid 3/5 -- only cause of the crispness but there's some old pieces thrown in there. I genuinely wouldn't come again.. I'd rather get Chinese food from the place in the other shipping center.

Classic local Chinese food place. Portions are big, prices are fair. Cash only place. Casual fast dining inside. Easy take out to go. Place is consistent most of the time with the very rare occassion of a burnt egg roll. However, if you are like me, I simply say "no, not that one. Thank you." Compared to other local places, I prefer their orange chicken and chow mein, which I feel are never dry and always flavorful. Their is a constant turn over for their food. I always get excited to see the cook come out from the swinging doors with a big bowl of fresh goodness. The staff is the same staff from 15 years ago. I've never had a bad experience with being overcharged. I get the same 2 combos all the time so the cost is always the same.

There are lots of these small Chinese hole in the walls all over So Cal. Some are hit or miss. Sometimes OK, sometimes great and sometimes bad. Much closer to my house are two very good locations so I was surprised when I read a sports columnist asking who's Chinese food was better, this place or the place across the street. I didn't know of this place so the next time I was driving by I stopped by to get some BBQ Pork and some BBQ Chicken. OMG, this place was great. I should have known because there is always a line to get in. Some people get irritated by lines or waiting but I guess that is the sign that the food is good and it is no different for Wok Express. They serve you huge amounts for the price but more importantly the quality of the food is very good. They have a lot of turn over so the food is always fresh and tasty. We have been here several times and always like what we get.

They steal! Check your change!! She stole from me!! I told her and she got mad! Get a receipt! Thats why its Cash only

DO NOT COME HERE THEY STEAL! I ordered a simple plate and there was no one in line only me ordering. There was no rush but yet the chinese girl was rushing me to pay. I made a total in my head and she told me my total was $14 something. When i got my change it did not add up!! I saw the screen that said my change was $7.14. She hands me $6. The glass covid screen is right in the middle of her computer screen its blocking so u cant see the screen BUT im tall so i saw my change said $7.14 she did it so quick it dissapears from the screen and she Only handed me $6!!!!!!!! Of change!! I ask for my receipt she got So scared. On MY RECEIPT IT SAID MY TOTAL WAS $12!!!! Did she over charge me to keep my money!? Why did she say my total was $14 when the receipt says my total is $12!!! She said ..ok ok ... and goes in the tip jar and gives me a dollar from in there takes my paper receipt makes it a ball and throws it away quickly and walked away - IM MAD. DISAPPOINTED. DISRESPECTED!! I WILL NOT be coming here again. Im telling my family too they would come here too. NO MORE! Thats why yhis place is cash only. So they can steal!

I like instead of just chow mein and rice choices for your sides, they have both of those plus some other options like veggies, and wider type of noodle. They have a selection of Coke products fountain drinks, and several drinks in a cooler that you can choose from. I elected to have a two item tray, I selected the veggies and the wider type noodle. Both were amazingly delicious. For my meats, I selected jalapeño chicken and teriyaki chicken. The portions were large and I was not disappointed at all by the taste of everything. You get plenty of food for a pretty reasonable price. Lots of seating inside, nice AC on a hot day. Customer service is excellent. Never felt rushed when ordering. Any question I ask was answered. Nice little spot for a quick Chinese food. I would be remiss if I didn't mention, they have fresh soups that they will cook and other items as well. You do not have to order from the buffet style tray tables.

The menu has pictures and describes what is included with each noodle dish. The signature noodles I ordered came with crispy pork and beef, and both were delicious. Anyway, if you see Zhu Chicken, you are at the right restaurant! I got a crispy pork rice noodle with pickled bamboo and possibly one other meat. I can't recall. The crispy pork is a must. It's so fatty, but paired with a pickled veggie and that super spicy green sauce from the sauce bar, it was amazing. They give you a vinegar sauce, and you can add as much garlic, cilantro, and hot sauce as you want from the hot sauce bar. I went for a briney, spicy flavor with a ton of garlic and cilantro, and the resulting combination is something I still think about. Rice noodles were nothing special imo. They were soft and slippery, but didn't really soak up the sauce. You just have to get a perfect bite (or in my case gobble) that has all the layers of warm soft noodle, fatty rich meat, and spicy/sour notes from the sauces. I can't really compare this dish to anything, so I highly recommend coming here if you want something unique and bursting with flavor.

The combos are the most popular because you get the most bang for your buck (1 item, 2 items and 3 items). You can also get a la carte or party tray size servings but you need to order ahead for the party trays. Combos are choice of noodles or fried rice or you can do 1/2 and 1/2. I usually get all noodles with double orange chicken (its so good and still crunchy even though its coated in the orange chicken sauce) for 1 combo. The next combos are always all noodles with BBQ pork (very popular dish here), teriyaki chicken, beef with broccoli, green beans chicken. Then I'll get a la carte of the spicy crispy shrimp, egg rolls and crispy crab wonton. These are my go-to to dishes and i dont get all these at once. These are my personal go-to dishes. But honestly, whatever you choose, it'll be good. The turn around for food is quick with new fresh dishes coming out from the kitchen all the time. You can feed a family with the combo meals. Its filling and it won't break the bank.

It has since changed ownership and become a Sichuan restaurant, which I was very interested in trying. The interior design hasn't changed much from the former Lu's Garden. The dishes we tried were quite authentic Sichuan style. We ordered the Home Style Pork Feet with Lima Beans ($18.99). The pork feet were very tender and flavorful, and the lima beans added a nice texture. The soup was especially delicious, and the dipping sauce reminded me of what I used to have in Chengdu when I was young. The Twice-Cooked Pork ($16.99) was excellent! the pork wasn't too fatty and was very flavorful, especially with the green peppers. The Chengdu Pork Blood Cubes in Red Pepper Broth ($21.99) were also very good. (I believe the English name may not be accurately translated.)
