Great small town theatre with 8 screens. Family owned and very personal service. As I am fussy about my popcorn they really strive to accommodate my three layer style. It was perfect and the lady working there (Teddy)could not be nicer. She made our visit great and is now our favorite theatre when in the mountains. read more

I will never understand this theater. They will keep any Disney or Pixar movie for months. The last marvel movie sat there in this 8 screen theater for a month and a half. Yet on the flip side they will not keep anticipated R rated movie for any longer than 2 weeks. It's so frustrating, furiosa screened for a week and half then got pulled and 28 years later(a movie at the time of writing this is still on it's box office run and a pre order on prime is already pulled and gone. 28 years later is doing well at the box office and doing good number, while a movie like elio that's been in this theater longer is flopping. I'm tired of finally getting a day of work to see a movie that's been out for 2 weeks to go on wme's website for both the show low and lakeside locations to see the film has already been pulled and replaced with another failing Disney film or super hero movie that's gonna sit there holding a spot for the foreseeable next couple months. read more

Theatre is filthy and smells like a locker room. Seats dusty and sticky floors. Poor sound isolation from neighboring screens.

The 3-Star rating is because of the good and the not so great -- Cute place with good selection of movies, with good time choices. Staff can be VERY sweet and friendly, until they try to implement "the policies" set forth by "the owners!" Example: Took 11 kids to the show on a Monday afternoon -- no one else in the theatre! Spent $250 for the tribe! The nacho's come with cheese, yet you have to pay $2 extra for each tiny dollop of cheese you want for the pretzels? Duh? Why? And if a kid happens to drop his cheese (kids will be kids) you have to pay to replace it! Petty? Maybe! Tiny kindnesses would go so far for PR! Plus, refreshment prices have gone up significantly! This had to be the filthiest, movie theater I've ever been to. They certainly didn't clean after the weekend or any of the showings. The bathrooms were barely usable. After our movie let out in #5, the bathrooms got busy and ladies wouldn't go into half of the stalls. I looked in and turned around and left. read more

Prices ok, but place is filthy. Unfortunately, no competition. Take your allergy meds before, since seats have weeks of dust all over. Went to the first showing of the day & the theater was DISGUSTING. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. I am not usually one to say anything to management but this was so gross that we decided to. We were told by a manager that, "This is standard. This is what it usually looks after we come through & clean. Sorry".... maybe they should up their standards. Especially when this is the 1st showing, not in between shows. It was so hard to sit comfortably in the seats with popcorn everywhere, your feet sticking to the ground & trash everywhere. Very disappointing. read more

Maybe I am missing something here because I do not know why this theater gets such bad reviews. Yes, it is small. Yes, they do not have a ton of staff. And yes, the overall theater viewing experience may not be perfect but for a small town theater, this is a good one. The prices are good, the concession stand has lots of options, and the man who sold us our tickets/sold us grub was a real friendly guy. Heck, they even have bags near the condiments for everyone to have a popcorn bag of their own. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit, but hey, maybe I am just a simple guy who likes simple things. read more

This movie theater has a small town feel. Ive been pleased with the movie selection and snack bar, it's even got a variety of warm roasted nuts, perfect for the winter up here on the mountain ( yum !) The theater, snack bar & restroom are kept neat & clean which I greatly appreciate. Let's talk about the seats all movie goers want to be comfortable, the seats are not bad at all because they feel roomy you've got cup holders on both sides of the arm rests as well as plenty of leg room . I've been enjoying movies here over the past few years , I recommend this theater it has good customer service and a friendly atmosphere. read more

Favorite place for the CRAP Movie Club. Second favorite is the WME Five in Show Low. Our club (all 3 of us) have been selecting the worst movie of the week at either the Show Low or the Lakeside theaters to attend. Wme Theatres Lakeside - Front of theatre. - Cinema Near Me - Lakeside, Arizona

This is the newer, fancier theatre here on the mountain. Not sure exactly when it was built, it was here when I moved back here but it's top of the line, 8 screens, nice and clean, the owners spend more time at this one I believe and the crew is always on the ball because of it- lol! I did forget to mention in my review of the Show Low branch they have fancy new soda machines which give you unlimited options for drinks, they should really have those at this theatre as well! I love them both, I generally try to go to Show Low but sometimes the movie I want is here and not there so I drive the extra few miles lol! read more

For how small the area is, the theater is fairly well maintained and the movie selection is pretty up to date. Prices are decent for what you get when you take the location into account. The two times we have gone, we haven't dealt with overly crowded theaters or long lines. The staff has been polite and the place is pretty clean. read more

This is not the reviews I want to give but the review I have to give. This is not a good theater. As someone who treasures the movie viewing experience, I have come to expect certain standards that should be upheld in movie theaters. This theater holds none of my standards in high regards. The biggest thing for me is the cleanliness. Honest to god I don't know if the seats or the carpets have ever been cleaned. The floors are covered in day old popcorn, the seats are not just stained but are left with residue from old food and candy. It's horrifying. My own mother will not go to this theater unless she has too and if she does, she brings a towel with her to put on her chair. It's that bad. The bathrooms are atrocious as well. The men's bathroom has no-flush urinals. Pee just sits in them and does not drain. Some of the seats in the theaters are not bolted down and rock back and forth (and not in a good way). It's things like these that make me never want to come back here. But that's the thing. If I want to see a new movie, I have no other choice in theaters. The other WME theater is in Show Low and sadly it is just as bad. These theaters have a monopoly on the movie theater business. They have no competition and they clearly use this to their advantage. They do not care about this theater or about the experience they create for their customers. As far as I can tell, this is a cash grab. This is taking advantage of the limitations of a small town. If the owner truly cares about movies and their customers and wants to give them a good experience, put some money back into your theater. Get new seats, have someone come clean your carpets, fix your bathrooms so pee does not fill your urinals, train your employees to uphold cleanliness standards. This place is not a lost hope but until we start to see some change and care put into this business, I will not be returning. And if you are thinking about visiting this theater, I would also urge you to not go. If we continue to give this place our hard earned cash while we do nothing and demand nothing, this theater will never change. read more

We have owned property in the White Mountains for seven years. We now call the Whites our home. We are at the movies at least one day a week. Family members have given us gifts of Fandango totalling $75. I know this is small-town USA, but what am I to do with my gifts. Return them to family or throw them away? I've put the word out on FB that WME doesn't take Fandango. The past two visits my husband has complained about the men's restroom needing attention. What is a person to do.....complain to the kids who work at the ticket or concession counter, that falls on a deaf ear. read more

Today 1-4-2020 we excitedly went to Star Wars in theatre 3. The movie did not disappoint but your horribly maintained theatre did. The entire time we watched the movie we were dripped on by a leaky ceiling. We tried to move several times but continued to be dripped on. When expressing our concerns to an employee, she said the owners are aware and won't fix it. This is ridiculous! Fix your roof or at the very least rope it off so no one else sits there. read more

Good projection and sound, although projections would be better if they would clean the glass regularly. Great service from the front-end staff...prompt, professional, courteous--WELL DONE! HOWEVER... I am not sure why they bother paying the cleaning staff--this is the filthiest theater complex we have ever attended (and we attended two shows in two nights in two different number theaters in the 8-theater complex). Not only are the theaters themselves full of spills (drinks and popcorn) and wrappers right after the cleaners have come out after supposedly cleaning, but the entire area around the popcorn condiments had popcorn all over the floor...as the cleaners stood 10 feet away and socialized instead of cleaning it up. The bathrooms were also filthy and not cared for by staff. read more

I know there are not a lot if choices for theaters to see a movie around here, but really this theater needs to have the seats deep cleaned, if not replaced. I had the unfortunate experience of coming into the theater early, while the lights were still on because I knew it was going to be a packed theater. I started looking around at the chairs before I sat down and every single chair had something disgusting spilled (I hope it was just spilled) or stuck to it. I sat there uncomfortable, not wanting to touch anything the entire time I watched the movie. I am so grossed out, I told my husband that I could not return knowing that the chairs were that filthy. It is really great to have a movie the here in a small market like Lakeside. It is all digital with all the latest movies. Unfortunately, however, the place is dirty and has a lot of deferred maintenance. Since they have no competition things probably not likely to get better until the owners show some pride in the business. read more

When there's a film we want to see, we like to go once a week, but the place in Lakeside has gotten to be such a sty and in ever-worsening repair that Netflix is becoming our go-to choice. It's a pretty clean theatre. There's several good places to eat that are built just outside. Seats are comfortable and the backs recline.

We were running late for the movie and the cashier Crystal was a great help. She let us know how full the theater was, got us our tickets quickly and most importantly had a great attitude which relaxed us and made us ready for our movie! read more

We have been attending this theater for years. Last night we went to see a movie and as usual there was no o e at the front window. There was a sign that read to purchase tickets inside. There was no one at the ticket stand just inside the door so we went to the concession stand. We were informed we needed to wait for whoever was selling the tickets. We turned as the manager was approaching the stand. Several other people came in and we asked to purchase tickets for the show. It along with the next showing were sold out. Always happy to see a business succeed we were happy to hear this. I started to ask about purchasing tickets for the next day when the manager said he would take whoever was ready. Then he laughed and the people behind us laughed. I was stunned. As many times and years of being good customers, cleaning up after ourselves, not talking during the show, purchasing tickets to see a second show instead of walking in for free and powering our cellphones off during the movie had we ever been so disrespected. We left. We will see the movie at another theater. read more

Because we usually have a good experience here, I'll go with 1 star, but for this one experience I would give 0 if I could. You guys have to remember people come from surrounding communities to see movies here, not just down the road. When a showing gets crowded, you need to try to see if you can fit people in, not just say we're not letting any more in, unless there really are no more seats in the theater. Also why are you showing a major release (Lion) just twice a day in a smaller theater? Somehow I doubt every seat in every audiorium was full at 3pm today. We did travel an hour to see that movie today, just to be turned away with a kid saying we're not selling any more tickets for that. No explanation or apology, just "we're not selling any more tickets for that" and turned away from us. We've given you a lot of business in the past several years, but not any more. read more

My husband & I became full-time residents of Pinetop in November 2017. We are movie-buffs and enjoy going to the movie theater. Our experience with the WME Theaters in Pinetop and Show Low can only be described as extremely disappointing. The floors by the areas to get your drinks are generally so sticky that you may wonder if you'll be permanently stuck there; the theaters in general a really dirty, especially the (less than comfortable) chairs & floors. The bathrooms are generally passable, but could certainly be remodeled. Updating and major cleaning is sorely needed in both theaters. Their movies stay way too long for such small communities, and it seems their selection of movies favors the "beat 'em up, blow 'em up" fans, with very few dramas, mysteries, or "based on true story" films. A really good solution would be for Harkins, AMC, Regal, or one of the other movie theaters to come to our community with new theaters, thus creating competition for WME. One could only hope that competition would wake up the pitiful management of WME Theaters so they would pay attention to these reviews and DO SOMETHING to improve their theaters and change their poor reputation! We are truly thankful that have Roku for our movie choices, however, we certainly miss the theater experience for our weekly "date nights." All this being said, there are still LOTS of fun and entertaining things to do here in Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low all year around, including some great restaurants. The people here are friendly and most will bend over backwards to make your stay a wonderful time. Ya'll come!!! read more
