Especially with so many scams out there. Glad I did some reading. What gave me the ick is how they present themselves as a television station and media company, not a marketing company, and based on collective complaints and reviews (here and the BBB) appear to attempt to manipulate by flattering egos when they could just straight-up offer their marketing services without the love-bombing part to get you buzzed before dropping a cost. Just seems odd. If they legit offer a good service this dog and pony show seems to be sabotaging their reputation. Just some friendly feedback.

Ass, Grass, or Gas - Nobody rides for free- and for people who are not upfront about their true purpose I do not wish to do business with them. I see now one of the owners has commented on my review - I looked over the website and no where on the website does it mention that there will be a cost to "me" minus the "pay now" paypal button at the bottom of the website. These a-holes just call you out of the blue, cold and make it "sound" like they just want to interview you. If you read the yelp reviews you will see that some unfortunate gullible people spent upward of $7500 and were never given what they were promised. I am quite sure that the shows owners paid for the good reviews of which there are only 2 vs the 2 pages of negative reviews posted. There are many people that wasted 45 min of their time on the "pre-interview" before realizing they were going to have to pay something. I contacted the Better Business Bureau to find out why they are condoning and supporting scam businesses like this - and this just means that I can no longer trust the BBB - they are bought and sold just like most others nowadays. So do what you want, but I personally will never use this company - or Bobby Banks who was the first one to approach me a few years ago - and I had to block his number on my phone because he would not quit calling me. I was starstruck so I didn't say anything. When you're a kid, it's so cool to see a celebrity in real life. The whole thing was so normal, no pretentious behavior or "do you know who I am" stuff. Chuck Scarborough was one of New York's greatest broadcast journalists - so consistently professional and reassuring. After over 50 years, he finally retired. Whoever hired him at NBC made the right call. NBC also produced the show Law and Order - great series especially the ones with Jerry Orbach as Detective Lennie Briscoe (one of the best actors in the history of crime television; he unfortunately passed in 2004). And Late Night too. Lots of great shows on NBC.

The self-proclaimed "Worldwide Leader in Sports" is indispensable if you're into March Madness or…read morethe NHL but there are clouds on the horizon as their Disney owners are choking on billions of dollars in rights fees (NFL, NBA and MLB) that dwindling cable subscription carriage fees and declining ad revenues are straining to support. Not that anyone should rush to sponsor a telethon for this cash cow but their days of being a highly paid staple in cable lineups are drawing to a close. Soon they may be jettisoned by Disney meaning you'll finally be able to stream the full spectrum of ESPN networks without a cable bundle and for many, that will be the final snip in the cable cord. As an avid sports fan I find most of their coverage a hypertensive, over-the-top, scream-a-thon somehow believing the louder they shriek (or the hotter their take) the more you'll stay glued to the set. And let's not even talk about SportsCenter whose highlight reel has taught almost three generations of athletes to preen and posture for the camera honing their catchphrases. On balance, Hockey and the NFL are reasonable but as a baseball fan their weekly games are best experienced on mute. As for the NBA, their coverage (along with ABC) has been a lost cause for quite some time. It's hard to believe that their first program way back in 1979 was log rolling financed through credit card cash advances by Bill Rasmussen who founded the network. I have a feeling he has paid off his credit cards. Five stars just for the balz it took to do it.

North Shore TV is my hidden gem in Long Island. It's a full-service production studio with state of…read morethe art facilities. It has parking for free which is rare at most production spaces. I can load sets and props easily. The staff is really helpful in executing any of the content you want to create. I also like that the post production suites are updated regularly and useful if you wanna keep everything in house. I've done green screen projects, live streams as well as live broadcasting from their studio and the quality was on par with traditional broadcast networks. In fact, HBO has used them because they are that good. I really like using them and their rates are really fair.
