The system was not working. Everything was working fine until Best Irrigation winterized my system last fall. I called the company and they told me there must be damage from the freeze that had happened. This damage was not communicated to me, noted in the service techs notes, nor anything said about any damage that could have happened because of the freeze. The parts were lying on the ground and parts were obviously broken. The service tech told me everything went fine. If parts were lying on the ground and cracked parts, then there was obvious damage and it should have been communicated. If I knew there was damage I would have scheduled an appointment. The lack of communication is unacceptable and I will be finding a new irrigation company. I spoke to Best Irrigation and they did not want to remedy or help fix the problem.

He would respond at first and kept saying he would come out, but never did and disappeared like a fart in the wind. Then I found out that he laid sod OVER my pop up drain which then led to flooding in my basement. Also, he didn't level it out with the concrete slab and pitch it lower. He should have dug out more for the sod, but instead the grade of sod was 3-4 inches higher than the slab which also contributed to the back flow flooding. He was very helpful at the beginning and the irrigation is great and said he'd be back in the spring to help get everything back up and running properly, but never came back. After awhile, he stopped responding all together. I told him about the issues and he said he would try and come fix them or at least help with resolving, but NOPE. DO NOT HIRE HIM. Even though his rates are a bit higher than others, he came off as mom and pop and personable, helpful, reliable. NONE OF THOSE THINGS carried forward. DO NOT HIRE HIM. DO NOT HIRE HIM. Exorbitant Charges and Mispresented Service I recently had…read morea terrible experience with Wett and Wild and its founder, and I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed and frustrated I am with their services and misrepresentation that this individual is still part of the company. The most egregious issue was the exorbitant charges they levied on me. They charged almost $500 for just four sprinkler heads, 20 feet of line (did not need to dig or bury) and 90 minutes of labor! When I spoke to the business office about the charges, they said that the founder no longer works for the company but he'll sometimes go out and do service calls when customers call his phone - the original phone number for the company. As a remedy, they said they'd put a new phone number sticker on my control box this fall when they blow out the system. Lack of character on all counts - not taking accountability. We've used Wett and Wild for almost 10 years. That ended today. My advice: Save yourself the trouble and money, and look elsewhere for a reputable and honest lawn sprinkler service.
