Accurate Tax has prepared our taxes the last two years. We recently got a letter from the IRS…read morestating that the 2011 taxes they prepared were wrong; we still owed $973.31. (We hired a CPA to look at all the paperwork we gave them and she confirmed that Accurate Tax blew it. And we're the one's paying for their oversight.) We set up an appointment with them this year to inquire about the issue. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointed time and were told that one of the two preparers present would be right with us. While we waited, one of the preparers had to bring his clients over to the woman who wasn't working with anyone at the time. He made reference to mortgage interest and said he still wasn't comfortable working with it. While the two employees worked together on one client, my wife and I sat in the waiting area listening to the main menu music from Happy Feet play over and over. After waiting until 20 minutes after our appointed time (30 minutes total), and without any further word from the staff, we finally had to leave. While our time may not be valuable to them, it is to us. When we told them we were leaving the woman in the office shrugged her shoulders. The price may be right but at what cost? And with what disregard?

This past May the state of Minnesota garnished her refund for overpayment of her property tax refund. She asked me to help her figure out why they did that. A quick call to the State of Minnesota (is there such a thing?) and I was informed that there was no return filed for her for 2021. I reached out to Dillon at Jasicki as he was the preparer that completed and signed her return. Always got the answering machine or left a message with the always pleasant lady that answered the phone. Once on May 19. Three times on May 27. Twice on June 3. Four times on June 4. Twice on June 6. Again on June 26. Twice on June 27. Concurrently during this stretch of time, I sent out numerous emails requesting information and seeking guidance. NOT ONE TIME DID I GET THE COURTESY OF A CALL BACK OR A RETURN EMAIL. I had to literally catch Chuck answering the phone almost 2 months into attempting to contact them to have a conversation with him. Extremely frustrating and disappointing given that she paid them to prepare and file, and interest and penalties accruing daily. So, what happened? They filed the federal return but it was not accepted for reasons not provided to her at the time. They did not even notify her that her return was not accepted. As the filer they got notice but failed to communicate directly with my daughter that they needed more information for the return to be accepted. It ended up being a 1095 health insurance form that was never discussed or requested when they prepared the return. When I finally got Chuck on the phone, he transferred me to Dillon and in 34 minutes we had it worked out. Simple right? All could have been handled at the time and saved the $435 in penalties and $257.08 in interest. I would ask them to cover the costs incurred due to their pathetic lack of follow up, but they don't answer emails or return phone calls. Do yourself a favor and have your taxes prepared elsewhere.

Because later she informed me she was only taking my case as a favor to my Dr. She continued to be rude as things went on. I brought her a Christmas gift basket because I thought she was mad for some reason. I thought it might help. Plus I was always told she wasn't getting paid. She never said anything about the basket. I asked if she got it. And she acted like she was doing me a favor to take it. I did a lot of the paper work. Finding everything she needed. With time limits. She had talked to my previous Attorney and he told her I would check on him filing forms. She snidely told me to go ahead and check on her she did the proper filing. When it came to the date of my settlement conference we were in a room with the judge myself, my husband and Ms.Lemmon when I didn't want to take the opposing sides first settlement amount she told me she had taken several Phycology corses and in her opinion I just liked suing people. I don't think that comment is good for her business. I was going to walk out at that time. But was really just stuck. I took a settlement just to get it done. She is very good at knowing law. But bossy and rude. On minute she is nice the next she is so hateful it is confusing. She lured me in when I had problems with my other Attorney and was vulnerable.She talked me into leaving my former Attorney of over twenty years and blamed me. Then I was stuck. She constantly told me she was not getting paid or my case. But in reality I paid her & my previous Attorney. She told me to leave a comment on her add page with 5 stars! Only!
