From the owner to every worker they were all just great people. They did a fantastic job on my mess, and under super sloppy muddy conditions my yard was a mess. I assumed it would be and I would have a lot to do when they finished. But man was I surprised. They flattened all the ruts out and made the yard look good! Great cleanup too. Perkins Tree Service prunes trees, removes trees, and grinds stumps. I have used this business…read moretwice--once to remove my backyard neighbor's tree (yes...) and once to remove four of my trees. In 2021, my backyard neighbor had a tall, dead tree that was near our property line and was very hazardous for several years. On a Friday, I contacted Perkins Tree Service to get an estimate. The owner Tom said that he would arrive for the estimate on a Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, he did NOT show up, so I contacted him, and he changed the appointment to a Sunday morning. On Sunday, Tom gave me an estimate of $875 plus $75 for grinding the stump. He said that he would be available to do the work on Tuesday morning--a wait of only two days! On the Tuesday, four workers from Perkins spent about one hour cutting down the tree. They used ropes and a chainsaw to remove the several large branches and a grinder to remove the stump. They did not damage the nearby fences or any other structures. In 2022, for my four trees, I contacted Tom on a Friday to get an estimate, and he said that he would give an estimate on Saturday or Sunday. He actually came out on Tuesday, and he gave an estimate of $500 to remove four ornamental trees and to grind their stumps. This current job was small, so Tom said that he would not make an appointment for it but would rather fit it in whenever he could in the next 1-2 weeks. Several days later, his crew removed the four trees. They did a very good job, so that only mulch was left behind. They cleaned up debris with a rake, leaf blower, and trash can. I deducted one star from my review because Perkins stood me up twice for estimates and because in 2023, I contacted Perkins again, but they never responded. Furthermore, my next-door neighbor set up an appointment for an estimate with Perkins in 2022, and they did not show up, so he hired a different company.

Overall good service, and would recommend this landscaping company…read more We had quite a bit of work done: mulching, edging, several bushes removed, grass seed/fertilizer, weed removal, all bushes trimmed, 2 new bushes planted, new rock/slabs installed in grill area, and we had some old decking disposed of; all for about $1600. (I've included a few pictures of some (not all) of the work) That price include all material, labor, and tax. The work was completed in 1.5 days. The guys who did the work were very polite, communicative, and personable. They definitely were hard workers, and knowledgeable on landscaping. The only negative was the delay in scheduling the service. Since they were responsive in getting the work done, and landscaping isn't exactly life/death, it didn't bother us too much.

When you're trespassing on my property to clean up what you cut down onto my roof? And their excuse was "we didn't know you were home" so what else will they do when they don't think you're home. This was my very first time talking to a tree removal business with Arborists. The person answering the phone is not creating a welcoming feeling. She speaks is such a condescending tone. I was sorry that I called and bothered her at her job (sarcasm) She spoke very fast without any emotion and seemed so annoyed when I asked questions. She didn't even let me finish my reason for calling when she barked at me " Address., Name. " She made me feel as if she was way to busy to deal with a customer. (the reason she has this job) Then when I mentioned that I wanted them to answer a couple questions about some ornamentals, she replied "that will have to be a seperate appointment" I asked why I had to have a second appointment for just some questions. She did not reply. I just wanted to get off the phone. UGH. I have not received a call back regarding any quote appointment, etc. I will not use this company or recommend them. They should rethink how they allow office staff to speak to customers. I am sure I am not the only one that has experienced the attitude.

Upon their arrival, there was one other tree on the front strip of the property that were asked to have cut down as well. I had told them that there was a huge hornet's nest in the second (small) Maple tree. YIKES!! They had told me that it was not an issue and that they would remove it as well - Bee Keeper outfit and all! GREAT PRICE for both tree removal and grinding of the stumps (plus, the Hornet's nest at no additional charge). The quality of work was "top notch." They went "above and beyond" to serve us.
