I did a lot of research on artificial turf companies servicing the Brushy Creek area and after some shopping around, came across Umesh and KG Lawn Care. After receiving some ridiculous quotes from some of the "bigger" artificial turf companies, offering a lower grade of turf for a substantially higher price, I went forward with the project with Umesh and KG Lawn Care. Umesh took on my project of installing approximately 1000 sqft of artificial turf, metal edging, and black star gravel around some cypress trees. Roughly a month before starting, I expressed to Umesh my desire to have the project completed in time for our family's annual crawfish boil, which he assured me he would fulfill. I can't say enough positive things about Umesh, Lucas, and their crew. As we neared the date of my family's party, Umesh assured me that he would push to make the deadline, even with unpredictable central Texas weather. Umesh not only kept to his promise in finishing the project in time for our party, but also knocked it out of the park! The artificial turf looks incredible and instantly became my daughter's favorite place to play. Umesh and his crew put a level of detail into the project in ensuring every aspect was perfect for my family. As pleased as I am with the project itself, the most noteworthy aspect I want to highlight in this review is how Umesh does business. In a world where so many are looking to cut corners, charge more, and provide less, I found that Umesh is a man of immense integrity who keeps to his word. Umesh delivered on his promise to ensure my yard was immaculate for my family's party, but most notably, his promise on pricing. A day before our turf was set to be installed, Umesh was notified by the turf company that the turf we picked out was no longer available (with zero warning). Umesh was forced to upgrade the turf at a difference of nearly $800. I offered to split the difference with Umesh but was told: "Nah man, it's all good. I like to keep my word and pricing. It's not your fault." This really struck me that Umesh was willing to eat $800 in order to keep his word with me on pricing. KG Lawn Care exceeded my expectations and truly helped me complete my dream back yard - The quality of work and character of Umesh will have me recommending him and his company to all my family and friends!

There wasn't a clear level of communication in understanding our wants at the beginning nor a good back and forth along the way. Because of that his team ripped out bushes that were not meant to be replaced, the weed liner was laid too high and thinly mulched and mulch just ran off onto the sidewalk when it rained and needed to be redone and other details that needed oversight on our part. I had to point out spots where the liner was showing through, that was not something he caught. The work was decent, not what I would call excellent but he is a reasonable price so that might be a good trade off. My big reason for getting our lawn redone and some landscaping started with the grass in the back was not growing under shaded areas and agreed to replace the current bermuda with a specific type that grows in shade. He somehow forgot and relaid bermuda in the back and then wanted us to pay another $1500 to offset the cost of his labor to relay the grass we originally agreed and paid to have done. We did not agree to that as the contract stated things clearly. He did go ahead and replace the bermuda the second time but when that grass grew out it had patchy spots of which he has never come back to fix though he said he would, he no longer responds to my texts. There were many other mishaps like being late several times, delays that were not communicated and so forth. One last thing is that he committed to do our lawn service but has missed commitments and has only been here 3 times in the last 6 mo. Without any word he just stopped and will not return texts. I have spoken with him several times and given him multiple chances to respond and fulfill his commitment with no follow up and now no response.

His team added a walkway going around from our driveway to the pool; excavated a rock wall to reduce the grade so we could get our golf cart around what was a narrow corner; trimmed up trees over and around the pool; added much needed drainage to reduce runoff; built the wall around the pump equipment, added the Zeon Zyosia grass, and did all the landscaping around the pool area.
