So, on a scale of one to five stars I would give Jordan and Rick at Nordic Stoneworks 10 stars but it only goes to 5. I had them repair both my brick chimneys and the new work blends in with the original brickwork with a consistent look. The other factor in my decision is that they communicate with you as the customer and the neighbours to advise what is going on. I was able to work from home in the next room and only a couple of times did I hear any noise that might have prevented me from being on a call. In addition our suggested placement of the windows would have made it look bad from the outside and Dale wanted to confirm the placement. South Island Concrete poured a good looking driveway, but now with 5 different cracks in five…read moremonths have come to the conclusion the the work was inferior. They used a lesser strength than was called for in code, the ground was not compacted properly or this many cracks would not show up so quickly. we adhered to their rules of no vehicles for 28 days and nothing larger than a car has ever been on our driveway. We can only chock this up to inferior work and a lack of following good practices in order to save themselves some money. Their website does not reflect the quality of work you can expect from them. Would not recommend them for any concrete work.
