Pawel greeted me and spent a lot of time with me going over the whole procedure, asking me questions and getting to know me plus Doing the exam I am 53 years old and I wanted a mommy makeover! A much needed breast reduction/lift, lipo and tummy tuck. I was very specific and telling DR. Pawel what I wanted. That day in his office I was so impressed with DR. Pawel and became comfortable with him and his demeanor that by the end of the consultation I listen to my gut feeling and when ahead and schedule the surgery. Normally I would have to do a lot of research and thinking before making such a big decision. Dr. Paul let me pick a day and then later called to confirm and text me everything that we went over. That definitely gave me comfort in knowing I had a full anesthesia department by my side, not to mention it was much less expensive than a surgery center. I believe that's why DR. Karisa is such a delight. She took before pictures and asked a few questions before nurse Lindsey came in. Lindsey blew me away. First of all, she has incredible eye contact, says funny things, and is very educated on anatomy (she speaks intelligently it makes me feel secure, and develops great trust quickly). Lindsey took the time to listen to my concerns and educated me on the process, and when performing the procedure she had such a calm presence and demeanor and made for a more relaxing situation. Lindey helped with lip filler, cheek filler, and Botox. You could tell that patience and comfort are one of Lindsey's top priorities along with precision. I'm so happy my lips didn't bruise! My results thus far are amazing but still healing. The front office staff Dawn and Nick were a pleasure to interact with too. I had a moment of panic right before surgery and he sat with me and did not rush me through it. He listened to every concern and answered every question. My surgery was performed at Southdale Fairview and I couldn't have been more pleased and satisfied with my care team. Post-surgery, Dr Philbin and his patient coordinator have answered every email within hours, usually minutes, made time for me and seen me when it is necessary. I even had two other correction surgeries done and it still did not fix the issues I had. I paid for them out of pocket even though they had my deposit on hold. I advise not to schedule surgery here. You will be very disappointed. You will have to file legal action to get your money back. They do not care what your needs are, they just care on how much money they make.

Gaslighting, Sexist, and Medically Contradictory. Do NOT come here…read more I came to Twin Cities Dermatology as a patient with a severe, documented skin condition (Prurigo Nodularis). What I found was a clinic that actively gaslit me, dismissed my documented symptoms, and attempted to rewrite my medical history to avoid taking responsibility. The Gaslighting: I presented with clear, hard nodules on my forehead and body. They initially documented my diagnosis correctly as "Prurigo Nodularis" and started me on a heavy-duty biologic (Dupixent) along with intralesional injections. However, after I raised concerns about my disability paperwork and asked for accommodations, they suddenly changed their tune. They began calling my condition "just eczema." You don't prescribe a powerful biologic like Dupixent for "just eczema." That is a contradiction. They are trying to downplay the severity of my condition to avoid liability. The Sexism: The clinic appears to be exclusively staffed by women, with only one male provider (who is gay). This is not a coincidence. They systematically dismiss straight, Black men as "difficult" or "argumentative" patients. They ignored my explicit request to exclude a specific provider from my sessions. I was not treated with respect or dignity; I was treated like an inconvenience. Refusal to Accommodate: Despite having documented medical records showing I have not been able to work due to the severity of my condition (sleep disruption, concentration issues, mood impacts), they refused to sign my (Disability) form. They claimed they couldn't assess my limitations, despite their own notes stating that my condition impacts my daily activities. Bottom Line: This clinic is not a place for healing. It is a place to be dismissed, gaslit, and under-treated. The doctor and staff will lie to protect themselves rather than help their patients. Do your research, bring your own documentation, and be prepared to fight for basic respect. I will never be returning here, and I hope you won't either.
