Dr. Gervais! My new best friend haha jk! While searching for a doctor to do a 360 body lift, I came across his name on a reddit post. I live in Vegas but born and raised in MN where he is located. I'm very keen of MN docs as that are known for expertise services and education. He has been doing plastic surgery for over 30 years and has phenomenal ratings on realself. I originally had a virtual consultation that went well but he let me know right away he wanted to see me in person before confirming exact procedure. So I flew my behind to MN to meet this awesome Doc in person! The office and staff are sooo nice and friendly. Doc was so well dressed, comforting and knowledgeable. From the time we started the consultation, he completely provided a respectfu environment. Before I left the house to go see him, I was telling my bff how I need a doc to grab all up on my skin so I can really see what's gna be gone after surgery- that is exactly what he did. He was lifting, pulling and creating a visual for me- soo helpful! I was so convinced that I would need an FDL in addition to 360, but he assured be after seeing me in person that I would not need it and he didn't want to do it, saving my an extra scar and money- I greatly appreciate that! I will be scheduling my surgery for the first week of July. He assured me that I am going to be completely transformed. I am so excited and will update this review as i go through the process! Had a rhinoplasty procedure done six months ago and couldn't be happier with the results. The entire staff is warm and personable. I wanted to get a rhinoplasty done since I was very young and never thought it would be possible to have a nose that fits my petite frame. It's natural looking and feminine. My Doctor was Dr. Gervais. What a gem. He did a breast lift for me in June 2023. ​He fixed all my old markings/scarring from a breast reduction I had when I was 17. For years I'd wanted to get my ripped pierced ear fixed. My entire experience with Dr. Tholen and his team was fantastic. Everyone was knowledgeable and so friendly. Dr. Tholen walked me through each step of the process and I can honestly say, I didn't feel a thing during the procedure. I have minimal scaring and just went back to get them pierced. I have been waiting for one month now for my $7,500.00 refund. The doctor stated "our accountant is on vacation, she will process this next week", I said okay. 2 weeks later I call "where is my refund for the surgery that never happened" they said "our accountant is on vacation please leave her a message". It has been 1 month now, I have left 17 voicemails and they stopped answering my calls and I have not seen a dime of my $7,500 refund and I am being charged interest now for that money. read more

Like anyone would be when considering plastic surgery I was VERY nervous and went to numerous places for consultations before deciding on Dr. Gervais. He is especially helpful, understanding, knowledgeable and informative. He was more then happy to sit down and answer all of my questions and spend as much time as I felt I needed to be comfortable with him and the surgery itself. I love the staff here, they are wonderful and were so comforting to me before my surgery began. I had been considering cosmetic surgery since I was 18. About a year ago, I finally decided to pull the trigger and met with several 'elite' plastic surgeons in the Minneapolis area. Cost wasn't that important, results and service were. After my consultations, I realized that the cost of my procedure was similar across the board- a variance of a couple hundred dollars. Dr. Tholen's professionalism, obvious expertise and charisma made my choice an easy one. I was able to get scheduled just a few days later due to an opening made available by a recent cancellation. You do have to have a physical done by a general practice physician prior to any surgery there. That can take a day or two for the paperwork. Also, Dr. Tholen gives you all of your prescriptions and directions ahead of time so you know what to do when you get home. The day of the surgery, everything went really well. The anesthesiologist was friendly and professional as was the rest of the staff. Post surgery, all follow up consults are included in the original price, which I liked. Dr. Tholen and his staff also made sure that I had access to them 24 hours a day after the procedure in case I had any questions or concerns. Luckily I didn't need to call. Most importantly, I'm happy with a part of my body that I've always been unsatisfied with. It truly turned out better than I could have hoped for. I now have a whole new confidence and only wish that I had met Dr. Tholen years ago. read more

If you're looking for follow through and a great result, don't get your breast implants from MPS Ltd. I paid to have an implant fixed after it moved up into a pec and although it never "dropped into position" as Dr. Richard Tholen promised me monthly it would, he wants me to pay AGAIN! So unless you're looking for a hard as rock PEC and not beautiful breasts as promised then this is the place for you read more

I am so disappointed with this practice - I had booked a consult and the day prior I had noticed a $100 charge on my card. When I called to ask whether this was a consult fee, I was informed that I had been told the incorrect day of my appointment but was never called, texted, or contacted in any way by the practice prior to confirm the date and time. They stated the charge was a "No Show" fee when I clearly explained that I was told the incorrect date. I had asked to speak to a manager and the phone disconnected. I recently had Dr. Tholen at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery remove a mole from my nose. I have never had any cosmetic surgery done before and was very nervous to start this process and had no idea what to expect. I wasn't even sure this was something that I could afford. I was so impressed with the entire process! I was surprised at the cost of the procedure. It was much less than what I was expecting. Dr. Tholen was very friendly and professional. The staff was always wonderful. What I was most impressed by was all of the follow-up with my procedure. I thought the cost was very minimal, but the willingness of Dr. Tholen to follow-up after with a few more visits really made me feel like he truly cares about the work he does and wants to make sure I'm getting the results I expected. read more

Overall 3/5. 4/5: Doctor: Dr. Tholen is a great guy: patient, listens well, good sense of humor, seems to know what he's talking about and can explain it so you can understand. 3/5: Treatment: I was told I would likely need 1 or maybe 2 visits, but I'm on my 3rd now with only a little improvement. I know everyone is different, so jury is still out. 2/5: Reception: Sarah is great and the others are usually friendly ...BUT figure out the wait time!! The last 2 visits I had morning appointments and I still didn't see the doctor until over an hour (65 and 70 mins) from my appointment time. That is frustrating. We are all busy. 15 minutes is reasonable. 60+ is not. Occasionally the reception staff can be unprofessional too. I was told to "hold your pants" when I asked how long the doc would be 30 minutes after my appointment time. read more

I highly recommend Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for any cosmetic surgery you may be considering. I have been a patient of Dr. Tholen's for six or seven years. He has performed two surgeries on me, a tummy tuck and a neck lift. I could not be more happy with the results. Dr. Tholen has also removed skin tags and other little growths from me. The nurses and staff at MPS are outstanding. They have respect for their patients and each other. When I was researching plastic surgeons I was particulary impressed with Dr. Tholen's credentials and his commitment to helping underserved populations. He is the nicest man; totally unintimidating, never makes you feel like he has to rush off to the next patient, or that he doesn't care. Great experience - all the staff were professional and very nice. I had liposuction and a tummy tuck. Dr. Gervais explained everything very thoroughly without putting any pressure on me to make a decision. Loved that they have surgery suites on-site. I had great care after and love my results! Dr. Garvais and his staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The consultation was very informative and easy to schedule. On the day of my surgery, it was like a well-oiled machine. Everyone had a job and did it very efficiently. I normally have problems with anesthesia (feeling sick) and had NONE with this procedure. My follow up care has so far been great too. I'd definitely refer my friends/family to Dr. Garvais - and I'd definitely go back if I wanted more procedures. Also, my results are amazing. My only regret is not doing it sooner! read more

I have been hoping to get liiposuction for years . I worked out everyday and had a problem area in those love handles that just would not go away no matter how much I worked out. So researching I found this office . I have to say it truelly is one of the best offices I have every been in. The staff is very helpful and friendly . The doctor makes you feel unbelievable.. He makes you secure . First off board certified very important . Knows what he is doing and explains what he will do. Then you speak to thr financial staff . They work with you and they couldn't be more friendly . The day of surgery I was not one bit nervous being put under. Darren (anesthetist) made a big difference . He explains everything he is doing and I mean every detail. Nurses awesome . I just can't say enough about them . My husband dropped me off returned a couple hours . Went home they even called later to check on me. I took a few pain pills . It was by far a great experience. . I had my return visit yesterday next week I follow up with weekly 1/2 hr massages for 6 weeks . So they just don't say here you go bye. . I will see the doctor again in 3 weeks. All I can say is if you are thinking of haveing any kind of plastic surgery . GO THERE you will not be dissapointed . I saw Dr. Gervais .Just an awesome guy read more
