Mr. Witt is an excellent Barber, courteous and respectful. Would highly recommend Witt's End.

Gary did an amazing job with my son's hair. Barbers and salons have a really hard time getting his hair right. It's very thick and curly. The fade is great, and he left the top exactly how my son wanted it. The price is a little steep for an 11 year old ($20), but you get what you pay for. The men were welcoming and friendly, and my son said Gary was very funny. We will definitely be back! read more

Witts End - Barbers Near Me - Lorton, Virginia

I've been to this barbershop plenty of times and enough is enough. If you don't make an appointment no one will speak to you when you walk in. And even if you make an appointment the barbers will either go on their lunch break or go on a quick smoke break before they even get to you so now you've been waiting 20 minutes past your appointment time to get in the chair. Also, they base prices off of their clients which is honestly the dumbest thing I've heard when their prices are posted on the walls... Last, how do you expect someone to pay for a haircut and expect a tip when you leave this kind of nonsense on their head. SEEING them walk out the barbershop and not doing a thing about it. Never coming back again. read more

Witts End - Extra hairs left on the back of my neck - Barbers Near Me - Lorton, Virginia

Being new to the area of Lorton, and needing a fresh cut, it was imperative to find a nice place with skilled barbers to get my cut right the first time. @Witts End was just the place. The "boss" (Mr.Dewitt) was very welcoming. I had a short wait (no appointment) and was quickly directed to sit with Gary. Gary is an ace barber who did not disappoint. He asked my opinion of my cut. At which time I did not feel pressured to say it was good or to not complain. Gary addressed my needs accordingly and finished my cut. I'm very happy. I must also mention the third barber (DJ) had me rolling. I watched as he expertly slay customers hair with his scissor wielding skills. I'm glad I found @Witts End; they are close to my office. See you in 2 months Gary. read more

Witts End - Barbers Near Me - Lorton, Virginia

Do not recommend. Terrible customer service, extremely unfriendly and they cut your hair however the hell they want to. My husband asked to keep his length and they gave him and my son a basic training buzz. It was weird. And it's just like other reviews said- dirty looks and ignoring you when you first come in. I travel an extra 20 min just to not go there again. read more

I'm very particular about the little hair I have and not every barber knows how to cultivate and create with the remaining hair I covet so much. I stumbled upon Witts end being new in the area and was advised to use G. Tarlton. Not only does he suffer from the same affliction but has made my follicular situation one that I don't mind addressing often. I have a weekly appointment. The professionalism, courtesy and lively barbershop banter is why I return. If you too like to look your best and need a barber I'd recommend G at Witts End. read more

Witts End - My-T-Sharp - Barbers Near Me - Lorton, Virginia

Atmosphere: This establishment is clean, orderly, and neat with great lighting both natural and fluorescent. It has plenty of seating room and two flat screen televisions (broadcasting sports) . Free WiFi and one clean spacious public bathroom. Barbers: Lead Chair and Owner/Operator: Mr. Witt is very professional, courteous, and upstanding barber that represents the barber profession to the highest degree. He is a talented highly skilled barber that provides GREAT hair cuts in a timely fashion. Call ahead for appointment. Well worth it! Second Chair: J.T. or T.J.: Overall seems to be a technical proficient barber. However, he lacks common customer service etiquette. Spends most of his time talking and joking about irreverent topics that merit no professional candor, he never looks into a walk-up customers direction unless he has a personal relationship or if its a female. Avoid this chair. Third Chair(New Guy Name unknown) Great young technical talented energetic barber. He provides great haircuts in a timely fashion. Please check him out. read more

Being black there aren't that many people that know how to cut my style of hair mr Witt comes in clutch with the clippers and not that expensive read more

This is my favorite barber in the area I've been sitting in Witts chair for over 10 years since a youth and I still wont let anyone else line me up. Good barber shop talk and good people I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

This place is the worst. The barbers do not even acknowledge you when you enter. They continue their private conversations between them and it slows down how fast they cut the guys in the chair. Fine,..I just needed a cut not companionship. I waited through two haircuts only to see someone that came in after me hop in the seat. Cool...maybe he was here before me...left and returned. He finishes the cut and pulls another guy ahead of me with no explanation. I walked out of there frustrated with no haircut and vowed to never go there again. In a pinch, I tried a second time and it was more of the same. I tried to support but these guys are completely unprofessional and do not value their customers. read more

I don't tend to write reviews, but these guys do good work. These guys are my first true barber ever (I have been getting haircuts from my family in California before moving here) and I can say that they are awesome and I have found my go-to barbershop read more

Both of my sons have been getting their hair cut here for years! Very happy with the service; DJ and DeWitt both do an excellent job with all of their clients and they treat you with respect. Thanks!! read more

I've been going to Mr. Witt for my undercut for about a year now. I always leave happy and get compliments on my hair.

The place was fine. Barber was cool and all but it wasn't what I was expecting. Too expensive of a haircut for the end result. Which I kind of am disappointed. I'm from California and I just moved to VA and the last two haircuts, this included ended up in disaster. I just give up on finding a good barber! I'm not dissatisfied with the man himself, he seemed cool and all but....I love my hair.....and now I have to wear a hat for a couple weeks until it grows back. read more

The staff is very friendly and professional. My haircut was just okay, definitely nothing special. I was surprised when he said it was $20 (didn't see prices posted anywhere, and have never paid more than $16 at barbershops close by) and when my barber didn't appear to charge the customer in line ahead of me. They charge you $2 to use your credit card, even though the most expensive credit card transaction fee would charge them 20 cents. Won't be back. read more

Witts End is a very good barbershop. The barbers are friendly and maintain a welcoming environment. I've gotten my haircut by two of their barbers and haven't been disappointed. I recommend coming here if you're looking for a new barbershop to get a high quality cut. read more

While I see a response from my comment. I actually visibly saw customers getting their hair cut in the chair. I pride myself on honesty and would not post something that I did not see with my own eyes. Luckily many salons have followed the rules and stopped working on people's hair to keep other's safe. I really respect that. read more

This a response to Tina C. the barbershop was not open today the owner was there with coworkers picking up supplies. We are aware of the seriousness of COVID-19 and would not jeopardize our health and our clients health. Thanks for your concern! read more

I heard of this place and it is close. So I take my 15yo son and left him there to get his hair cut. Seemed nice and clean on the inside. A full hour later, I go back in and my son hadn't had his hair cut. Not to mention, they hadn't even spoken to him. They had taken, possible scheduled ppl 1st. I understand. But they had not even acknowledged him sitting there for a full hour. Who does that? I hear the usual barbershop talk about football and etc.... but thought how awful for my son to had sat there ignored while they went about like he didn't exist. Won't be returning, I guess they've got enough business already read more

Very clean and tidy, but horrible experiences and expensive. I am not sure if the barber (2nd chair) egotistic or try to be funny or stupid. You ask for a particular hair cut he does another. read more

I wanted to provide an updated Yelp review for this establishment. I've been coming here for almost 15 years, easily 14 years though. My barber is DeWitt Myers. He's amazing in that he is always a professional, polite and very accommodating. He often provides advice about what will or won't work on my head in terms of a haircut. But this barbershop is more than a barbershop. It's like a home away from home. The atmosphere is lively with discussions of politics, sports, careers and family. If you come, you will feel right at home. Tons of laughter. I make it a regular stop on my weekend round of errands and when I don't come in, DeWitt will either call or text me. I appreciate the work that DeWitt does and I without a doubt recommend him to anyone who wants to be polished and properly groomed. I even get a good shave too. No bumps!! If you are looking for a high quality barber who knows his stuff, stop in. You will leave satisfied and looking good!! read more

It's best to make an appointment, as they book pretty far in advance and walk-ins might sit awhile. Great atmosphere; Christian-owned establishment. Clean and friendly. They actually wash and cut your hair, which is a nice touch. Call ahead and make an appointment with Witt or King. I'd definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area. read more

Friendly place, nice barbers who can give a fresh cut. Clean, like no hair on the floor. Will come here again.

If there was no stars I would definitely put that. Dj was my barber and since this "Barbershop" caters to mostly African American I'd at least expect them to know what a taper fade is. I asked for a 1 on the sides with a taper fade, and what I got was a hack job. My line up was terrible, not even a razor blade was used to line it up. The back of my head where the crown was, looked like a blind person did it. My part was ruined and didn't even bother to make it straight. Nothing but 2 tools were used to cut my hair. Went home and cleaned up my hair myself. Literally was in the chair for 10 mins and was done. I'm from California(LA) and my old barber was great and definitely knew how to cut hair. I barely moved here and have received two hair cuts within a 10 miles radius in one month. $20 for a hack job, and $5 tip, yeah what a rip off. Any other barbershop is better than this. Thank you Witts End for teaching me how to cut my own hair. read more

Barber did not do a good job. He had a hostile attitude and was on the phone the whole time. I'm in the process of looking for another barber to correct this mess. read more

Definitely won't be back!! One of the worse cuts ever, and for $25. I asked for a cut and a beard shape up. The cut was mediocre and the beard shape up was one of the worse. I literally left it basically looking the same way I came in. You could barely notice I got a cut. But you would notice my now crooked beard. SMH. Maybe if the barber paid attention to my hair instead of cracking jokes about the Cavs and talking about people, he could have done a better job. This was my first and last time coming here. Dude in 2nd chair is not good. read more

Great place with a homey feel and professional barbers. I always laugh with a good time during the traditional "barbershop conversations". It's in a good location and close to multiple stores read more

I walked into this place by accident about 4 months ago scrambling for a haircut on short notice. I'm a professional middle aged white guy and noticed upon entry that the place is tailored towards African American hairstyles. DJ, the barber in chair #2, had a client but said "I'll be right with you." A few minutes later he gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. DJ's quality and expertise is dramatically better than my previous barber at Lorton Station's "The Barber Shop." Now Witt's end is the only place I'll go to get my hair done. Clean place, polite/professional staff, fair price, excellent hair cut. read more

Not a friendly environment or barbers in my opinion, especially if you are a new customer. They act as though they dont want to cut you if they dont know you. I mean isnt that how you make money by more cuts. Not to mention they just do an ok job on haircuts. This is including the owner, he is actually the LEAST friendly of them all in my opinion. I walked in and asked Witt if he could cut my sons hair because a friend would usually bring him for me and he told me that Witt usually cuts my sons hair when he brings him.He flat out said "no, one of those other guys can" with the stink eye too! Word of advice if you want new customers, treat them as though you appreciate the fact that they are considering coming to your establishment. My money is going elsewhere!!!! read more

So i saw the previous review and im gonna say HELL NO! Those guys in there are great! They are professional and honest. Very skilled as well. The young lady who does womens hair is nice as well. I have sent several ppl there and they have agreed. I am originally NOT from this area, and the area im from there are barbershops 2-3 to a block! I get my hair cut often for many years, so ive seen some crappy ones in my day...THIS ISNT IT! Feels like home and they play church music and have donuts in the morning! I have to watch my potty mouth while in there, but i think its a great staple in the community. Witts End is a very good establishment, and your local public servants endorse it! read more

I give 2 stars only because the haircut was nice but the customer service left a lot to be desired. I'm new to the area and walked in with my 5-year old child. We spoke to the barbers and patrons then had a seat. After about an hour, and seeing people walk in the door after us and get right into the chair, I asked if appointments were required. I was told that the walk-ins were taken after the appointments. That's fine, but it would have been nice to have been told that when walking in, especially during the evening of a weeknight. Then, when my child asked where the bathroom was, one of the barbers pushed a trash can towards him and asked him if he needed to go #1 or #2. Offensive for someone who comes to an establishment for the first time. Then, because we had waited so long, my child fell asleep. The owner, with Bible quotes posted throughout his shop, was very impatient when it was difficult to wake him and because he started crying. Had I have known the wait would be so long, and appointments were best, I would have waited until another day to take him, which probably would have turned out to be a better experience for all. Needless to say, I will not go back again. read more
