Great Barber shop - perfect mix of quality barbers and great customer support. Definitely will be back.

My first time here today, came in and it smelled good, looked clean. Was greeted nicely right when I walked in by the barber in front. He told me there was a seat open a couple chairs down. I sat right away with Henry. Henry was polite and nice, I told him it was my first time and he said he was going to take care of me. He was very thorough, did an excellent cut and said he hopes to see me again. Nice guy! Just FYI bring cash ahead of time! it's all they accept and the ATM inside charges a hefty fee... I will come back! Good place! read more

Best barber shop in Lorton. All of the staff is great! I have been going there for over 6 years and have never had a bad haircut.

I recommend you guys to come to Lorton barber shop very good customer service. And the vibe is really nice and chill.

Jack cut my sons hair for the first time after using all his clippers on the man before us...head, neck and face shave...He didn't sanitize or even wipe off ANY of the clippers before using on my son. He also didn't wash his hands after rubbing oil into the previous man's scalp. Another barber there cut 3 people's hair without sterilizing or wiping the clippers in between. The clippers are left hanging on the wall and no blades were removed, cleaned or even sprayed with sanitizer the whole time we were there. read more

Highly recommend this place. Top notch customer service and haircuts. Nice environment too. My husband has always cut my hair by Jack and he always does a great job, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of the great folks that work there. Definitely be back! read more

Great crew of barbers. Found this place when we first moved here and was happy with the first cut and price. Came back and had a different barber, each to same standard that met my expectations. After half a dozen or so visits - have preferred Jack and Nina. Pricing is fair compared to other local places I've visited, which doesn't take as much time and care. No credit cards, but there is a ATM inside the shop. read more

Been going here for years. Best barber shop around and all the barbers know how to cut. Jack is awesome, as well as Nina!

My two boys and my husband get their hair cut here, and we will never go anywhere else. Jack does an incredible job with my husband's hair and beard, while every single one of the barbers (Jack, Kim, Nick, Nina -- I know there's one more I'm forgetting) rocks my boys' haircuts. They have never ONCE left with a haircut that they didn't love, and I feel like that says a lot. Plus, with how picky my husband is about his beard, the fact that he is always happy with Jack's work is incredible. My oldest son has autism and, for many years, HATED getting haircuts. It always involved me holding him/his head, there was a lot of squirming/whining, and he was one upset little boy. It was all-around tough for everyone. Jack and Kim in particular always went out of their way to not only show him patience and understanding but to make the experience as comfortable as possible. They communicate with him and explain what's happening, even if he doesn't verbally respond back... and that means so much. After two years of fighting the haircut battle, my son has finally started looking forward to the routine here. He knows the drill and I don't even have to hold his head anymore -- he trusts Jack and Kim entirely and knows that they will give him a break if he needs it. If you have a child with special/sensory needs, you understand what an incredible feat this is. All this to say, Lorton Barbershop is beyond five stars and I would recommend every single barber here. They are not only friendly and do an exceptional job, but they go out of their way to make everyone (even kiddos with special needs) feel important in the chair. read more

I recommend to come here they have the best service and best customer service best attitude

Best barber in Lorton. Very friendly and considerate. There is very rarely a long wait, but if you have to wait, it's worth it. Thank Ben!

Great barbershop in the Lorton area! Stopped in after work for a haircut, was seen immediately, and received a professional cut and neck shave. Price was great too at $16; please note, tips can only be accepted in cash, so bring a couple of bucks. read more

Been so hard to find the right barber for my 13 year old and 16 year old boys. Luckily we were referred to Jack. He is great! Jack is friendly, professional, knows what he's doing, and listens to what the client wants. So glad to finally find the right barber! read more

I always use this location for my hair cut. Before they are doing good job . I also cut my hair after they reopened after Covid 19, their safety work fell me very comfortable and safe. Thanks guys for your hard work at this time. read more

Great place. Not very expensive and they do a good job. Told them what I wanted and got exactly what I was looking. $19 for a men's haircut. Cheaper than sport clips. read more

Been coming here since early 2000's. One of the best barbershops around the area. Would highly suggest stopping by and getting a cut from anyone. read more

This is a great place. They give me a good haircuts, of course. I also like the over-all customer service, I get each time. Staff is very nice. Lady who cut my hair, yesterday, is new, I believe. I had not seen her there before. But she was great, and made it a pleasant experience. Saturday, I came in a little after 5. She was wearing a dress with white and black designs on it. She has brown and black hair. Please, what's her name? read more

Very poor customer service. I found Jack the owner to be very rude and disrespectful. Would not recommend.

Kim - the lady in the back does not listen to direction whatsoever. I asked for a mid fade and she gave me a high fade. As I asked her to adjust my cut as we went, she kept cutting higher. She does what she wants and sticks to it. Very disappointed and genuinely embarrassed with how my haircut looks. read more

I went in to get my son's hair cut into a mohawk. The barber that cut his hair was curt and short with me, and when I tried to point out things that I was not happy with, he just cut me off and didn't listen. After it was all said and done, I paid for the haircut because I knew that he wouldn't do any better and ended up going home and redoing it myself after I found my clippers in my boxes in my basement a few days later! Worst haircut yet... read more

A barber in back ruined everything. I asked for a trim on sideburns only while keep my beard grow. I eventually showed her a picture of man with a beard look. She nodded then she first shaved on my right side of sideburn and beard. I tried to stop it, but let it her to trim whole thing as she already ruined it. I told her, and she nodded. My beard hair is not even or miss cut. Now, I have to ask my wife to fix it. I have to wait for another 3 months to get my beard back to where I was. Definitely not coming back here again! If you want someone to do your beard fix, find another barber shop. read more

I come in all the time to get my haircut. They are always very nice and are willing to listen to what you need. I generally request the same haircut so I'm not sure how they do different kinds of cuts. The regular cut is like 20 dollars not counting tip. read more

Been here four times since it's so close to where I moved from. Each time, I tell them how I want it cut and it seems they either don't understand or just cuts the way they want. I don't get how hard it is that I want to grow my hair out, yet they keep shaving it. I try to make it as simple as possible each visit but its the same thing. Lesson learned, always stick to your barber who knows you best. read more

Jack did an excellent job cutting my teeny weeny Afro into what it should look like. I was very impressed and glad that I trusted another reviewer who said "if you're black, go to Jack!" I will definitely be back because he took his time, listened to my needs and was a really nice guy. I plan to tell my hubby about him too though he'll probably check Jack out after seeing my hair. read more

Jack has done my sons hair for 15 years. Only person he will go to. Even when jack was away for vacation he just let his hair get out of control. Jack has always been very nice to my son and very respectful. Five stars jack and if I could give you 10 I would. read more

Great Barber Shop, a little out-dated. Jack is hands down one of the best barbers I know. Only down fall about the place is that they're behind in electronics. I can't tip with debit card/credit card which is inconvenient for most people. If it wasn't for that, I'd give this place 5 stars. read more

Jacks the man!!! I've been going to him since I was a kid and he never disappoints. The shop is always clean and everybody there is very friendly. I'm always in and out pretty quick. I only get my haircuts here and if you're looking for a crisp shape up or fade for a younger look, Jack can more than handle it. Or just show him a picture of the hairstyle you want and he can make it happen, he is super experienced and uses great equipment!!! Everybody else is very good as well, I've gotten cuts from all of them before whenever Jack is gone and they all never disappoint. Highly recommend! read more

It's been tough looking for a barber living in the Northern Virginia area. After moving down here from New York in 2013, it took a few tries, but I finally found an extremely reliable barber shop in WiseCuts. Unfortunately for me, they're somewhat of a hike from where I live and work, and are normally always super busy due to their high volume of clients. I must say, upon first look, I was extremely weary of trying Lorton Barber Shop out. One of my good friends recommended them to me when I would complain to him about trying to find a shop with better availability, but I was too stubborn to heed his advice right away. Sure enough, I took the dive, and boy, am I ecstatic that I did - since being a consistent customer of Lorton Barber Shop, I've been cut by 3 barbers: Lynn, Nick, and Jack. Jack, whom I believe is the manager/owner, seems to have the largest clientele in the shop, and rightfully so - his skill of fades, line-ups, and overall haircuts are in a class of their own and can certainly rival any other barber in the DMV who thinks they can cut. For those of you who are skeptical about if his skills are limited to a certain hair texture, his customers are diverse in ethnic backgrounds (Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, South Asian, etc.). Lynn, who was actually the first barber I had the pleasure of working with, was and continues to be excellent. From what I've observed, customers who are unable to wait for Jack due to multiple customers waiting for him will go to Lynn, which should be enough of a testimony about her level of skill. As for Nick, I went to him when both Jack and Lynn were unavailable - I still received a great cut. For reference, I'm an Asian male and I normally ask for anywhere from a low or high fade to a taper with either a 4 or 5 on top. Though this might seem like a generic, simple cut, I've had far too many experiences with barbers who have managed to mess that up. All this to say: Lorton Barber Shop is a superb place to get a haircut and they actually average a lower cost per cut compared to other establishments. read more

Stop and get your haircut here! Jack is the man for ANY type of hair! If you are African American ONLY see Jack! If you are another race see anyone there. Lynn does great work on coarse hair! read more

I have gone to this shop for the last few years. Jack, the owner, and all the barbers are excellent. My personal favorite is Nick. He cuts my hair perfectly every time. The atmosphere in the shop is always welcoming and pleasant. I truly look forward to my haircuts every few weeks. read more

There's not really much to specify here. The service is great, cuts are accurate as to what I like. Jacks my usual barber, not that I don't like the others. It's just I prefer sticking to what I know. I go there monthly, and I have had nothing but good experiences. Their cuts are fairly priced, jack is really nice and friendly. I don't think I'll be going elsewhere anytime I do, unless I feel like getting a new look, which I have done recently and didn't mind. But I'll always go back to my old style. Keep up the good work guys! read more

Jack is the man! Showed him a picture and he gave me exactly what I wanted. Very pleased and will continue to return.
