My haircut is easy but she spent plenty of time getting the different hair lengths to transition properly Warm towel and neck massage were brutal. Rough!! Not sure why some others have provided negative experiences - some just can't be pleased, or there are those rare one-offs. I have been coming here for at least 5 years now but its seems every time it just gets worse. Today I asked for the top and front of my hair to not be cut but the lady just ignored that and cut half of it off. I was trying to grow my hair out and just trim the sides but there that goes down the garbage. Also it felt like to lady wasn't taking her time and rushed through it. I have also had experiences where the lady takes almost 40 minutes to cut my hair. I am very upset with what I got today. Looks nothing like I want it to. Don't think I'm ever coming back. read more

My parents live in the area so I've gotten haircuts here when I'm in town. I've come here over a dozen times, and maybe twice they've actually gotten the haircut right. It's not anything extravagant -- trim the back, leave the front long but clean it up when it's out of control, and fade to half on the sides. Not the easiest cut, but certainly something I can reasonably expect a professional to handle. And yet, I leave almost every time with my hair looking nothing like what I asked for. The last time I went was the worst, as is usually the case whenever someone decides it's the last time they patronize a business. The woman who cut my hair kept trimming down the front, even when I told her it looked fine, so that she could "make it even". She didn't even know what half on the sides was. I shouldn't be able to see the gray hairs on my temples two days after asking for that. This place is fine if you're just going in for a trim, or you're getting a buzz cut, or it's your six-year-old getting a haircut, or if you just don't really care what your hair looks like. But other than that, your money is better spent elsewhere. It may be cheap, but I'd rather spend the extra $15 per cut I'm spending now if it means I don't have to avoid mirrors for a week afterwards. read more

I've been going here off and on for the last few years and each time I swear I am not going back. This time is the end. The biggest issue with this place is they are a "one-trick pony." Meaning if you want a military haircut they can do it, but if you want your hair longer not so much. You'd be better off just going to the exchange, and it'd be cheaper. I specifically told the barber to use #3 clippers, block cut, and no skin... But here I am with a sort of a fade with a taper in the back. Could it be any more opposite than what I asked for? My advice, skip this place save your money and either go to the exchange or just somewhere else. read more

Zero stars should be an option one is very generous. I took my son who is 22 months there and it was a disaster. I don't understand why it took 3 so called stylists to do a babies haircut. They did mess up royally my sons hair and now it's butchered and uneven. My son was terrified with 3 ladies speaking their language looming around my sons head and butchering his hair. Been going here for at least every other month for about two years but this yesterday will be my last time heading here for a haircut. The haircuts have been steadily getting worse and worse despite the fact that I ask for the same style every time and all the ladies recognize me at this point. It should have been a clear notice for me to stop going 2-3 visits ago when Julie just completed disregarded my request as she ran out of the shop to pick up or drop off a package while I was explaining what haircut I wanted. She proceeded to come back in a few minutes later and went straight skin high fade when I asked for non-skin medium fade. She only realized her mistake when the lady next to her asked me if I had wanted to change my hair style but it was too late at that point. Not once did she apologize during the entire visit and kept saying that I was the one who told her to go skin high fade; a simple acceptance of her distracted mistake would have at least made the situation better. Yesterday's visit was a repeat of that previous visit; asked her to non-skin medium fade the sides but not touch the top since another lady had cut it too short just a week ago. Julie went straight for the top with clippers while distracted with making sure her name was being written down in the notebook they use to split tip. She said herself that it looks too short but never once did she apologize; kept saying because it used to be longer, it just looks a lot shorter when I trimmed it. What's the point of telling them what I want when they cut it however they want each time. I left two stars as there have been barbers there who were good; but they have been through so many barbers in the last two years I've been with them, makes you wonder if the good ones realize what a crappy business this one is. Don't waste your time going to this one, you're probably gonna be wishing you had picked another place for the next few weeks as your hair grows back to what you actually wanted. read more

Tried them out this past Sunday because they were open when my other barber wasn't. This is an Asian barber shop with all women (when I was there). There were 5 or 6 barbers working so I was seated right away. My hair is pretty easy to cut but Paris took her time and did a really good job. She also trimmed my old man eyebrows and ear hair. Real barbers always do that but even my regular one doesn't. When she pulled out the hot towel, I thought I was going to get the towel on the face and neck & shoulder massage that Asian barbers usually do. To my disappointment, though, she just used it to wipe off the hair from my neck and face. That would have made it 5 stars :) I will definitely be back. The price was $15. Update12/8/2016: I went back again and have kept going back. If you have to wait, it's usually not long and you get a good haircut. $16 now. read more

Fantastic haircuts with old school perks like wet shave with straight razor on neck and hot towel head/neck massage after haircut. Perfect combination of clippers and scissors and great job doing fades or tapers from zero/skin to whatever length you like on top. Average time to cut hair is under 15 minutes and rarely more than 10 minute wait unless you ask for a particular barber. I usually go to Julie and have always been pleased with results. If you're military they offer a competitive price vs Fort Belvoir barbershop of $14. read more

i've gone to this barber shop for years. we moved an hour and a half away a few months ago and i try to schedule my trips back for business to correspond with getting my haircut. this shop is meticulous with scissor cuts versus the razor cuts you get at chain barber shops. read more
