I had been going here for years but a change in management made this barber go downhill fast. First off, the place is pretty unclean, the mats have 6in of built up old hair underneath and the work stations look like they have not seen a wipe in some time. The last time I went the air conditioning was out in 90 degree heat. They had fans running but it was blowing other peoples nasty hair in my face and on my clothes. But they didn't do a great job, so rushing when they see another customer is waiting, 10 minutes hair for my son so they can take another turn after my son. $17 for a haircut.. it's tough to find a place to get an excellent haircut for a decent price now a days. Keep in mind they are cash/check only. I recently started getting my hair cut at this shop with my main guy Vinny. The wait for this shop is fast as there are 6-7 barbers cutting hair at a given time. If you aren't particular about who cuts your hair, you should be in and out within half an hour. Vinny is a meticulous and detail oriented barber. He will always ask you what you want and then make recommendations based on your facial features or the shape of your head. If you're looking for a new barber, you should give Vinny a shot as he has never disappointed me. read more

Have had Sonny cut my hair, he is good, and the lady in the far back, also good. But recent visit, ended up getting nicked by razor by lady in chair at front. She didn't even tell me i had been nicked until i saw blood on tissue. Sickening part, is that unlike the good barber shops i grew up with-razors, combs etc. none are sterilized after each person. Anyway, not telling me (though i felt it), then i asked could she get some first aid on it, or at least some anti bacterial soap-and she got huffy as if it were my fault. Anyhow, got checked for anything worse from cut. Will not be going back to this place. In fact, after this experience, i will be watching any and all shops i go to. If they do not have safety measures in place to clean equipment then it is a no go. read more

Provides just about everything you want in a Barber shop. No appointments. The most I've ever waited was 5-10 minutes. I've probably gone here for 10-15 haircuts and always been happy with the result. Everybody on staff seems to have a good sense for men's haircuts. Note it's cash only. I usually have an excellent experience here but today I had the misfortune of getting my hair butchered by Chau (first chair). Not only was she rude, she managed to cut my scalp and produce the most uneven fade I've ever seen. Then she criticized my lack of a tip after I pointed out the horrible job she did on the cut. Just moved to this area, came to try out the barber. Disappointment, is not enough to describe the service we received. My husband came here for a hair cut, but when we saw the finished product... there were random dents in the front and the back of his head. Husband suggested that the staff trim a little off the side so the dents aren't too noticeable. And he did... But it only made it worse. Then we suggested that the barber just give him a buzz cut, and the is what we got in reply: "maybe next time". Ummm..... There won't be a next time. Before I entered the salon I showed the lady a picture of a faded perm and asked "can you make me have curls" she then said "ok"in the middle of the process I asked again "the curls ?" She said "ok" at the end I said "where are the curls ?" I've been to quite a few barbers over the past few years. I've tested the water with local barbers near my house, the hair cuttery and other places. This place is the best and where I'll be getting my haircut always from here on out. This is a pleasant establishment and I just show them a picture of what I want and within 15 or so minutes my hair looks great. I've tried many other people and no one has been able to get it right. Even if it takes me 15 extra minutes to drive here it's worth it. This place can get quite crowded on the weekends, so I recommend going on the weekdays if you can. read more

Today I went into Burke Barber and the man that cut my hair butchered it. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and the end result was nothing like the picture. The man I went to was all the way in the back on the left side. I recommend nobody go to that gentleman unless you want a big bald spot on the back of your head (that is what happend to me). I have been coming here for more than 2 years. I feel fortunate to have such a close barber near my house. I am in the military and definitely recommend this place. There are 8 chairs and even when it is busy it goes pretty quickly. I think the price is right for the area $15. This place is actually pretty good. As long as you pick out your favorite barber and stick with them. When I first went I went to someone that wasn't that great, then I went to a women, and that wasn't great either, then I found one that was consistently good.
