I've been coming here since the late 90's and always have a good experience. The current staff have all been there for close to 25 years and are all very experienced. They love to ask about my daughter on the times that she doesn't come with me - they clearly remember all of their regulars and it's really nice. $25 for a kid's haircut?! It was a great haircut, but we won't be paying $25 again for a boy's trim.

Not the most aesthetically pleasing barbershop, but it has its charm with the barber candy stripe pole outside, laminated floors (probably original) and the 1950's style chairs. The barbers inside always greet customers/guests with a huge smile and cheerful welcome...even with masks on you can sense their appreciation you came in. Be aware that the reasonable price comes with a catch - cash only establishment. So come with hard coins and paper in hand. I've been seeing the same barber for many years (since birth) and only get serviced by one other barber closer to home when needed. Her name is Min (pictured) and she's the sweetest person you'll ever meet. Worth the drive up from Woodbridge and beyond, as I personally have seen other longtime clients travel from Norfolk to be taken care of by her. She's awesome with kids too, both my sons have been seeing her since their first haircut as well :) read more

They don't have anywhere posted that they accept only cash! They don't even tell you this until they finish cutting your hair. This is ridiculous. I didn't have any cash and they don't accept any other forms of payment. I had to find a way to get cash and it took me more than 30 min to figure it out. Very poor business practice. The haircut was good but I definitely won't be back to this place. read more

My boys, now young men, have been going here for 10+ years. They will not go anywhere else and insist on only Ms. Min. She listens, cuts exactly what they ask for and deals with their individual hair issues (double crown, cow licks, etc.) They always look great and Ms. Min is lovely. The prices are really great too. I used to come here as a little child and I haven't been coming here for 16 years because all my original people have left so today I figured why not give them the chance and I go in and ask them for a beard trim and a number 2 on top. I sit down in her chair she puts a number two on my head and she takes the number 2 and goes down my jaw line and shaved off my beard completely... What's done is done but I just want to let people know watch out if you come here and for me to say that really breaks my heart because I was there as a little kid sitting in those chairs and now I'm telling people run away. read more

Moderately sized shop located in the Springfield Plaza. It's on the same block as McDonalds, Starbucks and Chipotle. The barbers/hair stylists are primarily Asian (shop is Asian owned) and the clientele is very diverse. The barber shop caters mainly to males however they serve females as well. There's a lot of turnover so it can be hard to stick with one barber/stylist for an extended period of time however they're all pretty skilled. Lee in particular is awesome. The prices are reasonable for the area (at least for men's haircuts/shaves). It's a cash only establishment with ATMs located at the several banks in the plaza. During non-peak times there's little to no wait for a cut however during peak times (friday afternoons/saturdays) you could be waiting for awhile. The haircut/shaving experience can be pretty relaxing as they're good about walking that fine line of uncomfortable silence and talking your ear off. They also do the hot shave (razor, shaving cream, hot towel) which works for men who have facial hair, shave their heads, etc. Bonus: Massage/neck rub after your haircut is complete! read more

I've been going here for almost 25 years. They don't know me by name but they recognize me every time I come in. It's nice to feel at home when it comes to getting your hair cut. Weekends are busier as you'd expect but I never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The barbers (men and women) are friendly. Some may be a bit more chatty than others but you're never ignored. The conversations are always pleasant. It's $14 for a haircut which I'm sure is a reasonable price compared to fancier locations. I always make sure to tip sell because I appreciate the shop, especially after all of these years. read more

Worst haircut I've ever had. Stay away far far away. You couldn't pay me to go here again! The lady kept digging into my head with the razor until I had to stop her and ask her why was she doing that. She even made me teary eye with the pain she was causing. This is conveniently located in springfield. Its always a hit or miss when i go here. I would suggest Lee for a consistent good cut. The first chair when you walk in is the one that is mostly a hit or miss. I've had a decent cut, but he seems to be more about quantity then quality. He will use clippers on your whole head if he has to- to get the next person waiting. Overall its a place to get a cut when time is running tight. read more

Just awful. Went in on a Thursday afternoon. Immediately got a seat with a Korean lady on the far-end. I asked her for a regular taper cut, style length on top, which is pretty much your standard guys' haircut. She nodded her head as if she understood. She proceeded to violently -- and by that I mean she aggressively jerked my head back and forth with her clippers -- carve out the sides and back of my scalp. Long story short. She gave me a crew cut, high and tight on the back, short on top (I'd say about an inch in length, not stylabe), and absolutely no taper. It was pretty much the opposite of what I wanted. I'm a pretty low maintenance guy, so this is a first for me. Hair grows back, so I don't really care, but I will never go here again. I don't know about the other barbers, but avoid the lady on the far end. read more

Since arriving here, I was bouncing around different hairstylist to hairstylist, and I have FINALLY found a decent hairstylist/barber who does my hair to Complete Satisfaction! .. I got my hair done from 3 different hairstylist from this shop and they were all very experienced, knowledgeable and not to mention Excellent Service! .. Another thing I like about this shop is that, it has that warmth and 'old fashion' barber shop feels to it .. a kind of shop that you don't see too many these days. Most of them are franchised and when you walk-in you are treated like just a 'another number' .. I Highly Recommend this shop to anyone and in case if you're not please with the service, just point it out to them and they will correct to your Complete Satisfaction ..
