    Pulaski Pharmacy

    Pulaski Pharmacy

    (1 review)

an hour agoNEW-Edit Delete I'm sad that I have to post this…read morereview. I've used Pulaski Pharmacy for over 20 years. I lived in Pulaski; then the last 3 years, I have driven from Luxemburg (70 mile round trip) to get my prescriptions in Pulaski. Why? I don't like how CVS, Walgreens, etc...treat you like a number. Plus, I wasn't impressed by Luxemburg Pharmacy. The pharmacist there tries to "play doctor" and not give prescriptions as ordered by my doctor! For 2 decades, I had found Pulaski was more personable, helpful, organized, etc....until the last 3 or 4 months! In the last 4 months, including today, after ordering my refills by phone, I drove there, to be told they were out of one of them. I understand this can happen. In the past, they ALWAYS called, or texted, to let me know. I'm okay with waiting a few days. But I'm not happy to drive 70 miles and waste time, money, and gas! The lady who checks me out (Chris?) is usually very kind. You could tell that customer issues like these were wearing on her, as she really did not want to help me. I asked her if they could do as they have done in the past---mail it to me at no charge since I was inconvenienced. She told me to talk to the pharmacist. Okay. I was polite, not rude (would encourage anyone to subpoena their security footage if they want to verify!) and clearly stated the issue to the pharmacist. I asked for it to be mailed to me at no charge, as was done before. She would only do it if they charged me for postage. WHAT??!! This is NOT my mistake! She then tried to push blame on me for not calling to see if my prescriptions were in! How about taking responsibilty for the incompetence of your store employees to do their job and call? I then stated to her "when I called this morning and placed the order, your phone system CLEARLY stated that they would be available after 11:45!" (note--I arrived at 12:13 and they weren't ready, and I was finally given only 2 of the 3 ordered at 12:26, when this conversation took place!) I told her this, and she said "well, maybe we have to change our system." Yeah--I kinda think so! I asked her again to do what was right, and take care of the customer, as I had not made a mistake--they had. She sighed, and agreed. I then said to her, trying to be kind, "please understand that I am not trying to point a finger at you specifically--that's not how I work--but it just gets a little frustrating when people make excuses, don't do their work, are lazy, or hide behind Covid. I don't like excuses. People just need to take responsibility to do their jobs and provide what is promised." It was at that point she then changed her mind again and said she wasn't going to send it to me, and THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE!! I was dumbfounded! Absolutely amazed! (again--check their video footage!) The pharmacist making threats???!! WOW!! It was at that point I told her to go ahead, and was of half the mind to wait for the police to show up (considering I lived there for 18 years and know quite a few of them!) but my time is far too valuable! Then, and ONLY THE, I let her know EXACTLY how I felt about her, her attitude, and the store in general. She could stick it where the sun doesn't shine! There were 4-5 others in the store who saw all of this--which is good---the word will get around about her and these employees. I immediately called another pharmacy when I got home---but before moving my prescriptions over, told them EXACTLY what I expected, and I will be meeting with them next week so they know that excuses will not be tolerated. I was ASSURED via phone I would be called or texted if there were problems, so I am going to hold them to that. There is just no call for this type of service and behavior from ANY firm in ANY industry! If these same people came into my business and didn't get what they were promised, they'd be the first ones to rant and rave and act like fools---bank on it!! But---that would never happen to those who work with me at my firm! AVOID PULASKI PHARMACY!!

I'm a comic artist and I know how important drawing the human figure is in my trade. I go to…read moreweekly figure drawing at Mud & Prints and it's been ground-breaking for my art! Linda goes above and beyond at getting a variety of different models. Some sessions are clothed and some are nude. She even goes as far as setting up backgrounds that fit with the themes of the costumes and poses. We usually start with some short poses and build up to longer poses. The lighting on the figures is great too. From drawing to painting, you can use any medium that you desire. It's not required to show up every week, incase something in life comes up, and you pay per session you attend. You get a stamp card and Linda throws a free session after you attended so many. Linda is open to comments and feedback with the sessions and makes changes based on the artists' needs in the studio. It's also a very casual environment to meet the other artists in this area too. ‍ I'm learning a lot and my art is really growing each week I attend. Drawing from life is very crucial for artistic growth and this is one of the few places in the valley that offers life drawing models at a very reasonable price.
