This is my second visit here and I got a massage and acupuncture. Tony and Dr. Victoria have done a great job in addressing my concerns. I've been coming to Withee Acupuncture for several years to get massages. I love deep tissue massages. Masseuse Amy is great. She always finds area where I have tension and knots. It hurts so good. Amy is my go to masseuse. I also had acupuncture treatment in the past for shoulder and hand pain. Treatment rooms are very clean. Everyone who works at Withee are so nice and professional. Parking is always plentiful. Withee is tucked away in a strip mall near King's Hawaiian. read more

Front office lady was rude, seem like they didn't want to offer me their service. She didn't even want to look at my insurance; bad vibes

This was my very first Accupuncture experience and I couldn't have wished for a better one. The massage that I started with was probably the best massage I ever had in my life. Dr Cho was very sweet and knowledgeable. I felt the needle pricks but it wasn't painful. Dr Cho also does fire cupping which felt amazing. I am so relaxed now. read more

Hubby went for pain in several parts of his body. Staff were very nice and they treated us really well.

Dr. Victoria Cho is the sweetest person you will ever meet! She is very caring and goes the extra mile to help you and whatever issue that you may have. I went in for low back pain and I feel that her acupuncture treatment really helped the healing process. I still have low back pain but not as bad as before. Once I went in for back pain but she noticed my stuffy nose so she did acunpuncture on it as well, clearing it up! Highly recommended! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Withee Acupuncture. I had fluid behind my right eardrum and for two weeks I couldn't hear and the ringing and full feeling was debilitating. The doctors told me it would just take time to heal. I went to Withee and on my drive home the pressure in my ear released and I felt 100 times better. Not only that but the massage was wonderful and I felt so relaxed. I will be going back regularly now for overall health! read more

My experience with Dr. Cho and the staff at Withee Acupuncture goes back almost 7 years. My parents brought me over to Dr. Cho's clinic for an ankle sprain that I sustained during my high school basketball practice. I don't remember much from my first experience, but one thing I still remember to this day is the way she welcomed me. It's hard to put into words, but the best way to explain it would be that when you step into the clinic, you're not just a patient, but you're family. Since our first encounter, I've been going to Dr. Cho for all my medical problems from simple colds to treatment for my allergies. Upon hearing that I was accepted to medical school, she extended an opportunity for me to intern at her clinic during my summer vacation prior to my first year at medical school. Although I was going to attend an allopathic medical school, I knew this was a unique opportunity to explore the holistic approach behind eastern medicine. I accepted the offer without hesitation. During the short time I got to spend in her clinic, she truly opened my eyes into the way I viewed medicine. One of the biggest misconceptions of eastern medicine is that it lacks scientific reasoning. Let me tell you, the complexity and empirical reasoning behind these treatments blew me way. The placement of every needle has a purpose, and each herb she utilizes for her herbal medicine contains active ingredients to combat the symptoms. Aside from her intellect, professionalism, and warm personality, Dr. Cho exudes a quality that is just as important as medical knowledge: a willingness to listen to the patient. As a patient, sometimes you just want to tell them how you feel because at the end of the day, no one knows your body better than yourself. It's too common to step into a doctor's office and feel like you're nothing more than just a number. Doctors see too many patients, and often make the tragic mistake of dehumanizing the patients. They sometimes lose sight that the patient lying down in front of them has a family and loved ones. Dr. Cho really listens to what the patients say, and takes the inputs the patients make into serious thought and consideration. I am two weeks into my second semester of medical school, and I still hold dear the numerous lessons she taught me during my time as a patient, as well as my experience as an intern working in her clinic. Dr. Cho is so much more than just my doctor. She is a friend, mentor, and inspiration. read more

Where do I start? I started coming here back in '04 when she was on Torrance Blvd. and only after I was referred to her by a trusted physician in the medical community. I thank God for that referral. I am not a huge fan of synthetic pill pushing, although I do think that pharmaceuticals do have their place, but are not always necessary and are handed out way too frequently. I have seen Dr. Cho for numerous reasons-anything from weight loss, joint injuries, fatigue, stress, ear aches, stomach pain, constipation, flu, anemia...you name it, I see her first. I prefer to do things as naturally as I can, and there has only been one time where she told me that, YES, for that specific condition, I would have to take a Western medication temporarily, and she supplemented me with what I needed naturally. CURED! My teenagers have seen her for various reasons including acne, and they have had wonderful results. Dr. Cho is an honest, loving, and caring doctor. I consider her to be among the best in the nation - bar none. She cares so much for her patients. My entire family sees her, and I have referred many people to her-all of whom sing her praises. I highly recommend her. read more

I am a cancer survivor with a tumor in my lung the size of a peach. I had 28 "zaps" of radiation, and 21 treatments of chemo. The important news I have to relate is that, through it all, I never had any side affects nor had to take any medication. I ever played tennis numerous times in the days I had both chemo and radiation, and my tennis friends had no idea.( As an aside, I did lose my hair, but found an awesome wig I liked ever better than my own hair.) This, I believe, is due to the fact that, during my treatments, I went every week for acupuncture. Not only did this help build up my immune system, but helped to focus on my problem and alleviate it. I has now been 5 years, and still no cancer was found. I still get acupuncture every two weeks to keep my immune system up and to treat any minor ailments I may have without medication. As another testimony, I have a friend in Bakersfield that had throat cancer. When I first talked to her she could barely speak. She also had radiation and chemo. I recommended that she seek acupuncture to relieve the side affects of the treatments and to build up her immune system. She told me that the acupuncture helped her so much. She is now cancer free and is feeling great. I hope you will try it. It doesn't hurt and the results are amazing. Best regards, Cancer Survivor Torrance, CA PS If you live in or near Torrance,CA, I highly recommand Dr. Cho,( Withee Acupuncture) who has been treating me for the past 4 and a half years and really cares about my well being. I would also like to give so much credit to Dr. Park who first treat me. He not only introduced me to acupuncture and it's benefits, but treated me with both acupuncture and kindness, before moving his office from Los Angeles to Fontana,CA. read more

First of all, for anyone who doesn't know, as I didn't, the Korean approach to acupuncture differs in some ways from the Chinese medicine approach. I had a horrible experience with Dr. Victoria Cho at Withee Acupuncture. She gave me a very expensive ($200 for 15 days worth) tea that was designed and custom-brewed especially for me that gave me a horrendous side effect that has lasted for OVER TWO MONTHS now. And she had assured me beforehand that the only possible side effect was a slight upset stomach. She also told me more than once that the tea contained "more than 20 individual herbs", yet when I asked her for a list of those herbs for my nutritionist, and later for my new acupuncturist, she was not forthcoming. I asked multiple times, after which she finally sent me a list of just eight herbs; I asked three more times for the rest of the list and my requests were ignored. Very suspicious indeed. The effect the tea had on me was unbelievably excruciating pain in my neck and shoulders, and most of all, in my head - my skull burned and felt like an overinflated tire that needed the air let out. The pressure and pain were an absolute nightmare and I truly thought that I was in hell that first night! NOTHING helped, including 800 mg of ibuprofen. I was completely unable to sleep; instead, I writhed and moaned in pain ALL NIGHT, wishing that I could get out of my body. When I called her office the next day to report what had happened, she actually told her staff to tell me that this could happen the first few days and to just KEEP TAKING THE TEA until I got through this rough patch. Can you imagine? I said that I was not interested in self-abuse. Needless to say, I did not return to her office. Both my new acupuncturist (Chinese medicine-based) and my nutritionist independently speculated the same thing when I described what had occurred - she had likely given me powerful tonifying herbs, despite knowing that my issues were chi DEFICIENCY-based. When this happens, the strong herbs are actually harmful to the person; my new acupuncturist likened it to giving someone who has starved for a long time a big turkey dinner as his/her first meal -- that can actually kill them. Because the body is already weak, it can't EXPEL the too-potent herbs properly, hence the long-lingering bad effects. Also, when herbs are brewed for several days, then distilled and refrigerated, as is often the case in the Korean approach to herbal treatment, the properties of the herbs are altered and their effects on patients are not as controllable. This was the worst of my experience, but I also want to note that she primarily uses machinery for diagnostics! I think that machine diagnostics has its place, but to depend so heavily on that? Also, she wanted to use only laser to treat me the first session and she also had a massage MACHINE (who has a machine for massage?!) that literally made me scream, and she laughed when I did. It was all a dreadful experience, including huge disrespect for the client. read more

My wife and I have been visiting Dr. Cho for several years. It is a very comfortable and warm environment and Dr. Cho works very hard to improve your health. The massage services are very professional (Dr. Cho hired two new South Asian masseuses who have excellent hand strength and do very well with pushing out kinks and knots) and acupuncture is done very well. I usually end up falling asleep! Her herbal remedies seem to do the trick as well. We have moved out of the South Bay, but still drive down to take advantage of the good service at Withee. read more

They agree a litlle discount Cool after 2 days they call us back and said No discount after scheduling to come back every other week. They lie to us and they are trying to take advantage of my wifes illness and they should be a shame of themselves for being greedy and no morals .I don't recommend them to anyone after my experience can't trust anyone who lies to you on the prices and especially taking advantage of sick people for there greedyness selfishness business . read more

I started going to this place because I so desperately needed some kind of treatment to help me with my insomnia and back shoulder pain. Dr Cho and her staff are really the best. I was a bit hesitant in exploring this option but still gave it a try. After one visit, I was instantly feeling better. I started taking the herbal tea that dr cho brewed for me (2 weeks supply) and we will see how it goes for three month. I would totally recommend this to those that have pain like me. read more

Came to Dr Cho from a recommendation from local Torrance hospital for stress body relief back in 2012. Was having pain and health issues attributed to stress; was getting sick all the time. Acupuncture and body therapy 2x month with Dr. Cho. I hardly get sick any more and my health problems associated with pain and stress has alleviated. My PPO Health insurance and Dr. Cho has allowed me to leave pain/stress free healthy body. I also attribute the birth of my first child to Dr. Cho as she did acupuncture treatment on my body and I believe that is how I conceived. Continued to go to Dr Cho throughout both my preganancies. I now live in Orange County now but will drive the miles a couple times a month for Dr. Cho treatment. The best health care provider for my body. read more

i have had serious case of adult acnes, it all started during 3rd yr of college. At that time, I didn't take care of my body, no exercise, no routine time frame, eating at odd hours from chinese and mexican resturants. It was really bad, I started working out and ate healthier meals, but my acne was still pretty bad. I went to the doctor and he gave some pretty strong medications for it which to me, hurt my body even more. I wanted something that was good for me in the long run without any side effects. I heard through a friend that withee was really good and had helped her with her problems...she told me that they cure acne's as well but may take several months of herbal tonic to get rid of the acne once and for all. I went and Dr. Cho was very accomodating. She uses not just the traditional methods but also new technology you don't see everyday in most acupuncture clinics. The atmohphere is very soothing and the herbal tonic, while you don't see results at first, you will definitly see amazing results gradually which is healtheir and has no side effects. Dr. Cho not only helped me with my main problem, but also other health issues that resulted in my acnes. After going to the clinic for about 2 months, I've seen amazing results. I feel less tired, my face is cleaner than before, and feel fresh throughout my body. I give 5 stars. Thanks Dr. Cho and staff! read more

I have been going to Withee for over 3 years. I first started coming here because I had back pain during my pregnancy. I went to a chiropractor and physical therapy, but nothing helped. Since I was pregnant I didn't want to take any medications for my pain. I was also scared of needles but I decided to give acupuncture because my back pain was getting to be unbearable. I was willing to try anything. I'm glad Dr. Cho was able to help lessen my pain and it turned out the needles weren't so bad after all. The needles were so thin you can hardly feel it. I think the anticipation was worse than the needles itself. Now I see Dr. Cho periodically for my carpal tunnel. The acupuncture along with the laser really helped decrease the tingling in my fingers. I would highly recommend Dr. Cho and her helpful staff to anyone. read more

Many people love coming here for acupuncture, authentic thai massages, and herbal medication, but they recently expanded to facials and is definitely a hidden gem. They hired a cosmetologist, Grace, who has magically soft and gentle hands, and gave me the best facial I've ever had in my entire life. I've had facials at other places where they slap on a few masks but they barely touch my face. My facial at Withee with Grace was like a heavenly experience. When I first walked into the newly renovated facial room, it reminded me of a room in a salon or spa with the open space, the dim lights, and instrumental music playing in the background. I changed into a cute pink terry cloth robe and got into the soft bed under cushy and warm comforters. Grace gave me a thorough massage of every part of my face, neck, shoulders, scalp, and décolletage. She used multiple products on my face along the way and they were all very gentle. My face was not irritated and did not break out afterwards. Her fingers performed a perfectly choreographed dance on my face. There were also a lot of different machines along the side of the room. One of them was a high-tech leg massager that covered both my legs and gave me a feeling of floating in the clouds. She put them on me after she painted a thick mask on my face. This mask was no joke, it covered my entire face, including lips and eyelids, leaving only my nostrils. The soothing mask combined with the amazing leg massagers made me feel so relaxed that I promptly fell asleep. My skin was healthy, firm, and hydrated. It was literally glowing for days and I received a lot of compliments. Thank you Grace and the sweet staff at Withee! I will be back! Facials. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I cannot say enough about Dr. Cho and her excellent and friendly staff. Her herbal medication is outstanding, she takes her time, she explains, she listens, she cares, and then she goes to work to heal. My husband has a serious liver condition that no hospital nor doctor could treat. Not only has she become our "regular" doctor, she has become our friend. Highly highly recommended. read more

After reading the great reviews on Yelp about Withee Acupuncture I decided to visit because I was having cramping in my calf as well as tightness in my neck and shoulder. During my initial consultation I met with Dr. Victoria Cho. She was genuinely concerned about my well being and told me what I can do to improve my conditions. She developed a treatment plan for me along with Dr. Paul Cho, which consisted of acupuncture and massage. I was feeling much better within a month and continue to go regularly for a relaxing massage and for acupuncture, which helps me relieve stress and helps me to feel refreshed. The entire staff at Withee is professional and friendly. As soon as I walk in Jenny, at the front desk, always greets me and offers me tea, water and coffee. She is wonderful. I am always seen promptly at my appointment time. The massage therapist are top notch and the establishment is very clean and has a soothing scent. I highly recommend Withee Acupuncture! read more

I'm 40 years old female and I've had an infertility problem since I got married about 5 years ago. I had done many tests and all results came out as it is not easy for me to get pregnant. My egg quality was very low, so the doctor suggested me an egg donor. My hormones such as FSH and estradiol were not in normal range. I also had done AMH test which is called Anti-Mullerion test, and the result was shown that I was unable to get pregnant. I had bleeding twice a month which could be predicted as irregular menstruation cycle, but the doctor said that it is an episode of menopause. I was very disappointed that I was in the menopausal transition. I finally decided to get an acupuncture treatment and I believed that Dr. Cho would be the one who really can help me to resolve my problem. Since I visited Dr.Cho's clinic, I took the herbal medicine to make my hormone got balanced and got the acupuncture treatment regularly for about 4 months. After 4 months, I finally noticed that I am pregnant. I double checked with the doctor who suggested me an egg donor to make sure I got pregnant without an egg donor. Even though many doctors discouraged me, Dr. Cho always encouraged and helped me physically and mentally to resolve my infertility problem. I strongly recommend her to everyone because Dr. Cho is a miracle worker! read more
