The problem is she's shown herself to be unreliable and at times difficult to get ahold of. If you've had lashes, you know that keeping a somewhat consistent fill schedule is sorta important. Carolyn does lashes in her home, and takes appointments only by phone or text. For my second appointment, it took her almost a week to get back to me, and several messages went unanswered. When she finally responded, she explained there was a family emergency she was dealing with. Ok, one time, no problem. Life happens, I get it. My lashes looked a little sparse by the end of the additional week, and due to the delay I needed to do my third lash appointment about 1 week later because I had a special event plus travel. But whatevs. Here we are now, and I've been trying to set up my fourth appointment. It took 2 days (and a follow up message) to get a response. Then, 24 hours before my appointment, she texts me to let me know she can't do my lashes because she started a second job and hasn't had time to buy supplies. She says she wishes she had an alternate person to refer me to, but she knows there are "a lot of gals" doing lashes in the area now. No offer to reschedule. So is she done lashing all together? Or just dropping me a a client? I can't really tell what she's trying to communicate, but I find it really unprofessional and as a result will be finding someone more reliable to do my lashes.

I got eyelash extensions here for the first time and am pretty pleased with the results overall!…read more After I checked in, I was taken to the back and placed in my own room to get my lashes done, which was nice because I've been to places where everyone is getting their lashes done in a collective space. However, I will say that the previous place I've been to for lash lifts looked a lot nicer than Amazing Lash Studio. I didn't think it would take 2 hours to get my lashes done, but it does and I probably fell asleep and woke up 4-5 times during that time. Luckily, you get very comfortable and they put a blanket over you. I asked if I needed to remove my contacts for this and was told I didn't have to so I guess that's only really necessary for lash lifts. It wasn't painful at all, except when they removed something from my bottom lash line at the end and you could tell it didn't want to come off. When we were finished, I noticed I couldn't open my left eye all the way, so she had to go back and remove whatever glue they use so I could open my eye and I also noticed some of the black color they put over the glue on my eyelid on that side which I just wiped off later. I really did love the overall look of my lashes! I've gotten many compliments on my lashes and it is nice not having to put on mascara! My right eye was perfect, but I could tell my left eye did not get the same loving because I could see large chunks of the white glue, which began to become less noticeable a few days afterwards. One of the lashes fell out the next day from my left eye which surprised me because I thought they'd stay on a little better. It's been over a week since I got them done and my right eye is still perfection, while my left eye has lost quite a few lashes so I'm getting a little lopsided. I was surprised by all the maintenance these lashes required because I thought they were supposed to make my life easier, but after having them on for a week, I'd probably do it again for a special occasion.
